Those who have committed to being the best they can be. A place to come and share. A group that is there for one another. Though there is a list, it changes from time to time. Let us know if you might be interested in joining us and I will add your name to the list.

Fun day yesterday. Rosalie and I went to various outlet malls and shops on the way to Beirut and I did find one 7 dollar pair of pants in yellow linen...old fashioned style but hopefully versatile. In the mall we looked, priced, ate lunch, went to a section with sale items and then I decided that I'd rather return to the place that I had seen the 16 dollar pants that were more than half less in price than the new summer selections at the mall. So, we drove north, I found the white slacks and three tops each for 8 dollars. One is a dark brown t-shirt, one is a light yellow t-shirt and the other is synthetic like a jersey and lightweight with a print that is gray/yellow/white in a medium to small geometric allover pattern. We headed north and due to a detour I drove on a two lane road facing off with three lanes of cars trying to squeeze ahead of one another with no room for me. I kept inching forward and they eventually would have to move over BUT it took forever. We stopped for some iced coffee to stretch and talk and then I took Rosalie home and finally got home myself. Today I am doing laundry and it could rain and the plow might come to plow some of the land.
BEVERLY: I am sure it is touch caring for your husband. I remember my mother sleeping on the couch in the living room with dad in a rented hospital bed nearby in the same room. That went on for six months before dad passed on and eventually she was able to get a visiting nurse that came in once or twice a week to help out and give her some time off. When he was gone her electrolytes were out of whack and she nearly joined him...she was exhausted. So...take care of yourself!
CHERRY: I used to love thunderstorms. My sister remembers that we used to have a mattress on the screened porch and would go out there to enjoy them almost like going to fireworks on the 4th of July.

Good morning. The thunderstorms didn't happen, and I don't think it even rained. It did rain a little bit last evening, but not much and not very long. Right now it is mostly cloudy, although I do see a few patches of blue sky, so it might get sunny a little later.
I didn't get much done yesterday, although I did a few things and some exercise, but not nearly enough. Maybe today will be better. The bread I baked a few days ago was pretty much a disaster for whatever reason. No idea why. I did switch around the kinds of flour, but that shouldn't have made any difference. Any way I decided that life's too short to have to try to salvage the bread and use it up the way it was, so I decided to ditch it and make a new loaf the way I normally do. I'll do that today.
I hope everyone has a nice day.

Hello Beaches,
Another beautiful day here, in the 70's & sunshine. I have done just a tiny bit of stuff outside, not much. I have a lot to do both inside & outside, but most of it will not get done. I may work on the porch a bit more this afternoon.
Have no idea what will be on the menu today. I have to pick up my grocery order this afternoon, so I may just stop & pick up Mexican food as I pass the restaurant. Seems as though we have a Mexican restaurant on every corner. We have a favorite that I usually pick up at. I am not really fond of Mexican food, I usually just get the veggies & rice. Not the lowest calories thing on earth, but better than most of the dishes there.
DH is doing fairly well, he is very weak. I am hoping that his strength will build up. He was doing good in re hab, but seems as though he has gotten weaker since he is home.
Cathy, your day out shopping sounds like so much fun!! I love bargain hunting! I always end up buying a bunch of stuff that I don't really need, but have a ball.
Cherry, I watch a lot of ID channel & last night I watched a story that took place in ND, A wealthy ownrancher was killed in his home. Can't remember the name of the little town, but they said it was in central ND. I watch too much of that stuff, but seems like there is nothing else to watch.
Lynn, hope you are having a great time, where ever you are! You are a regular jet-setter. Good for you, enjoy!
Have a good day all

I spend a lot of time there too. I'm aware of the rancher who was killed in central ND but don't remember the name or circumstances either. In this county we have our own incident: bmazzo , North Dakota The Sons of Silence are alleged to have ordered the murder of Williston rancher Jack Sjol who went missing in April 2013 and whose body was found in rural Williams County the following month. Ryan Lee Stensaker was convicted of Sjol's murder on December 17, 2014 and was sentenced to life in prison.

I knew Jack Sjol from back when I was working as a dispatcher for the Williston Police and Fire Depts. He was at the time a Dept. Head for Public Works, Williston City's Dept. of City Infrastructure.
