Friday, April 26, 2024 "It seems to me that to be peaceful and content, you don't have to know precisely what you want. It may even be better if you don't. But I think you do need to be very clear what you DON'T want, and steadfast in the not-doing of those things." --Sandra Boynton

This one had me thinking...
Not sure how one would frame this as they say that to use negatives tends to draw them to you so if you said:
"I don't want to be fat"
You would focus on the activities that would prevent it happening?
Again...negative thinking rather than positive?
So: I won't, I can't, I will not have
Or perhaps, for me, it would be better to do the positive approach? I could say I don't want to lose my mobility so will exercise, eat healthy foods, whatever and I might say that I don't want to lose my ability to read and reason...but again...
I prefer the positive approach I guess...
I would rather affirm what I want and implement strategies that will make it happen than to decide what I do NOT want and figure out what to avoid to make that happen?!?!?!?!?
