Good morning.
38, clear for now with rain moving in late today. High of 58.
Robin, in regard to the kids that fight, then the whole 6th grade getting punished, the teachers and the SRO also felt the ones in trouble should be penalized, (which they did get) not the whole class. I truly do not know the reasoning behind the ap's action. They have done that before, also. We still had to keep them in yet yesterday, with them being a big better, and she came down again. She did have me put a sheet of paper in front of the ones disregarding the rules and have them write their names down. So, she has a sheet with 6 names on it, and that seemed to keep them in their seats. Outside today!!!
Sorry your DH still has some pain.
Gareth, I disagree about seeing the doctor. I just got this cold last Saturday. I am in way better shape than I was on Sunday. With part of my right lung missing, I am bound to have a cough longer than normal, but what is normal for people and their colds?
That is the popular opinion with this whole thing of grounding the 6th grade from recess all week. We can truly see the difference with that age not getting recess. It is very much needed. Just that 15 minutes playing outside helps so much.
Years ago, when we first moved into our house, and had the water softener in the basement, we had the Culligan man deliver the huge bags of salt, and he would carry them on top of his shoulders and fly down the stairs. Ok.....
They already said that Saturday is a weather aware day here, but one of the meteorologists that I follow on Twitter said last night that he thinks other weather guys are being dramatic about that.
Pinky, I hope you all end up getting a good rainfall, spread out over many days. We are expecting rain for a few days, and of course it will be hit or miss; a town 10 miles away might get 2", but we might get .40".
With everyone agreeing about the discipline of the whole group, why is it that administration does what is stupid??? Everyone suffers, including the staff. (me and the other monitor, and teacher)
About the stairs and running up them: I go up with the kids going outside, and some of them take 2 at a time; showoffs!!! Lol.
Hope you have a nice weekend, and not too much work.
Marsha, the apartment I found is in Ashwaubenon. It is just west of 41, tucked into a very expensive neighborhood. I won't mind taking walks outside in that area!!! DS is tickled, as it is just a short drive away, and a lower.
Are seders supposed to be big? I am sorry your kids were missing from yours. Was your DD sad that she missed yours?
I bet by next week you see a difference in the scale, with the dedication you have now, with working out.
Carol, from what you described about your DS, they may have caught the cancer at an early stage, like they did with mine. My breathing was what alerted me to something fishy going on, so went to the doctor, with him thinking it was pneumonia, then the next week he did an x-ray of the lungs and found shadows. Mine was a long-drawn-out affair, from start (July) to surgery (December), then just in case chemo (January.) The tissue they took from your DS should be able to stage the cancer. Right now, have hope that it is either stage 1 or 2. Pray hard for that. I am going into my 11 year as stage 2 survivor. Who knows, in today's world, maybe stage 3 is curable too.
We are supposed to be warm and humid tomorrow, close to 80 so I guess I will be uncovering the a/c in the bedroom.
I hired the movers yesterday. I am SO happy that weight is off my shoulders; I was told by someone that most likely I could not get a mover to move me on Memorial weekend. Wrong! And they do not charge extra for a holiday weekend. This is more of a learning experience than I want, lol. They will not move my live plants. DD2 said she will take care of that. (Whew!! I have 1 that is very heavy!)
Not very expensive bill, as a lot of the furniture is going to the DD's. They are coming Saturday morning of the weekend, so the afternoon before I will move all the clothes in the dresser, since the drawers have to be empty. And my closet. I have more clothes hanging up than in drawers.
It was kind of cool, as I gave her the 2 addresses, and she could tell me exactly the setup of the buildings.
Now to get DD's over here to get everything they said they would take!! I have one DD that does things at the last minute.
Tony sent me an email last night warning me that he is calling me tonight. Ok....something about a couple things he is looking at going to and I think he wants me to go with him. He knows I won't go till my cough is gone, so we shall see what is up his sleeve. I know he said the other night that he had so much fun Saturday, being here with me and drinking wine.
Marsha, did you see the overhead picture of the NFL draft starting night, last night, in Detroit? OMG, very daunting! To think that kind of crowd will be in the stadium district next year at this time!!!
