Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
I have the day off today and it’s a beautiful sunny day. Getting my hair cut later in the afternoon, it needs it.
I’m going to wash out my garbage tote, there are loose grass clippings in it and I want to clean that out.
I also have some things I want to do indoors. And I gave a couple bags of clothes to take to the charity bin at church.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, enjoy your day off. How was your haircut?
Ruth, it sounds like the meeting was long and you both came away with more questions to deal with. Hopefully Stan was able to get some rest last night with everything you are both dealing with. At least it sounds like the med situation worked out okay. Good luck with all the decisions. Hope the endo visit is good for you. The TKR surgery that the person in Florida was talking about is called Quad Sparing Technique, it uses Stryker implants. While researching that surgery there was reference to another one but I didn’t write down the name of it.
Martha, I hope you catch up on your sleep soon. Has your doctor said anything about how much sleep you need?
Waving to Bonnie, hope you are doing ok.
I spent almost 45 minutes on the phone yesterday dealing with a prescription problem. Why is everything so difficult? At least my visit with the dermatologist was good. Bill ordered pizza for dinner last night so I didn’t have to cook. The sun is out but it is still cool outside, low 60s. I did find a good buy at a local clothing store chain in our area. In spring and also for my birthday they send me a $10.00 off coupon. I found a real nice (and very soft) zippered sweatshirt. The place had lots of sweatshirts but most were hoodies and very few of them were with full zippers, so when I saw this one for $20.00, marked down from $70.00 I bought it right away. I plan on bringing it to Florida, the restaurants are always cold and I always need to bring a sweater, so this will work great for that.

Good afternoon all. Rainy, windy, and overcast here. But we can still use the rain, it’s not snow, and it’s almost May; so I’m good with it.
Had my video chat with the Endo this morning. Went ok for the most part. He’s changing my T4 med to 88 mcg from 112 mcg; and adding in T3 to see how I do with it. He said it should give me more energy which I definitely need. Stan took his 1st dose of the extended release carbidopa/levodopa and felt like it maybe helped him and lasted all night. So that’s a good start. She’d rather he have that then some of the other options.
Yes, yesterday was just overwhelming. We’re looking at the Irrevocable Trust, but once you set it, you can’t decide later to change it. It’s set in stone. And that is giving us some pause. Stan’s only fear is that if he would need a nursing home, it would leave me w/o money to live on. The trust would do that, but if you don’t end up needing it, you’ve taken some extreme steps for nothing. So hard to decide what to do. Thinking we’re going to try to get all 3 kids on a zoom call maybe Sunday afternoon or evening and talk it over with them.
Not getting much done today. It’s grey and cloudy and windy and rainy and I’m just fried from some of this stuff all week. And next week we meet with the financial advisor and that’ll be another decisions needed day.
We were going to have an advisor from a bath remodel place come out and give us an estimate on expanding the shower and making it more handicap friendly. I cancelled him for a while today too. Stan is of the opinion that Mike, our friend who did the porch and is going to do other jobs for us, might be able to do the shower. We’ll see.
We need to run to Target in a bit to get my new prescriptions and maybe some dinner out. Tomorrow morning we are going to pick up Sawyer and then Mara. May help them bake cookies to decorate or cupcakes or something. Would like to keep them off electronics if possible.
Joy hope you like your new haircut. Always makes you feel like a new woman! Enjoy your day off.
Martha, you seem to be a person who just needs more sleep than the average. Has your doctor commented on that at all? Have a good day.
Dottie, everything seems to be more complicated than it need be!! And I swear insurance companies like to make it that way! They just don’t care. You had a nice find in the sweatshirt. I prefer the zip all the way down with no hood too, but they are hard to find. Most at least have the hoods. Don’t want to pull them on/off over my head. What color did you get? Thank you for the name of the surgery. I’ll ask my ortho about it in 3 weeks when I see him for my 1 year checkup.
Ok, going to get up and do a couple things and then run to Target and figure out dinner. Have a good evening and a good weekend all.
