Thanks for the start, Linda. I hope your AC guy showed up this morning. Good luck at ear doctor.
I had the ultrasound, then Iggy and I went to a Korean restaurant for lunch. Something about my position during the ultrasound or the pressure from the hand device really ratcheted up the pain level. I’m going to bed.
waving to Karen and Kathy.

Ouch on that , Chele. My neck always hurts after the annual thyroid ultrasound…must be more pressure than we realize. Hope they figure out a pain solution for you.
AC guy here now redoing electric filters. Then hour and a half or more on two systems. I never look forward to this.

Linda, thanks for the start. Those helicopters circling around always make me nervous. Sometimes it's a lost person, but other times they're trying to find a criminal. I never did hear what happened after that incident here a couple of weeks ago. I hate the AC visits too. Hope all went smoothly.
Karen, oh no on your trail falls! How are you doing today? Those trails can be pretty rough even if you're just hiking. I think the AC guy was early that day due to a cancellation. I mainly notice the cicadas if I'm near a wooded area, but I do hear them in DM's neighborhood. I don't think I've ever actually seen one which is fine with me.
Chele, hope the leg is doing better. It's frustrating that they can't be more gentle with those kinds of tests.

Just saw that last post yesterday..Karen, hope you are ok. Two falls. Wow. Maybe that ankle wants some rest?
i think because I am old it will be overnight and no release until I can walk a little to potty, climb three steps and something else. But not much over 24 hours unless something goes wrong.ibguess I find out more Monday.
usually that circling l helicopter is a news vulture over a fire or accident, but I did not see anything today.
AC units are good except one capaciter out of range..meaning trouble in really ot weather,so replaced under warranty. Do not want that while I am receiving. Last summer into fall worked those units hard.
just kind of going from one small thing to another each day so place is good by 5/15. Today was straightening out the lower cabinet with casserole dishes, muffin tins, cake pans, food processor, immersion blender and parts . Also reorganized my museum archive folder on AZ false electors since it is rapidly fattening with the indictments this week here at last. At keast I can be useful even if ican''t go to the museum.

Thanks for the start, Linda. Odd that you never found out anything about the circling helicopters. We have a lot of tourist helicopters but not at that time of the night. I understand why the lawn guys come that early, but definitely can mess with your sleep. Did he AC guy get there on schedule? How were things with the ear doctor? I think the ankle and every other body part will definitely be getting some rest this weekend.
Chele, I hope your pain has decreased. I hope you'll tell the doctor that the test made things worse. At least you had a good lunch before the pain ramped up. Do you think you'll hear something on Monday? What did you have for lunch?
I've seen a few cicadas, Kathy, but they usually don't swarm here and usually stay in the trees. They aren't the most attractive insect (except to each other), so you wouldn't be impressed if you saw one. This was definitely a rough trail. I K-taped the ankle and did fine at the herb festival today. I did wear ankle boots and that helped. The rib pain is another matter. It's on the left side, so it's really painful opening and closing the car door and putting on my seatbelt. I found a K-tape video on YouTube and I think Dale is going to attempt it. Was tough trying to sleep last night but it would have taken more than that to keep me from going to the festival. I have a heating pad on it right now but it's not helping much.
Herb festival was excellent, as usual. There were a couple of plants on my list that I couldn't find, but otherwise I was successful, as was sis. We had a nice lunch at a place she likes that I've seen but never been to. I had a Zen Bowl with tofu, chickpeas, brown rice, veggies, greens, and spices. It was filling enough that I just grabbed a bowl of cereal for dinner. Really tired and might hit the bed a bit early.
