Karen, thanks for the start. How are you feeling today? Did you get the ribs K taped? You don’t think you cracked them, do you? Just bruised? I hope you slept better last night. I’m glad you had a nice meeting with GF at festival and lunch. I shared a seafood pancake at lunch plus some kimchi and some sushi.
Linda, I’m glad the warranty covered the capacitor. The hospital never lets Iggy go until next has a bowel movement, probably because of his GI issues. What did the ear doctor say?
Kathy, I don’t blame the technician. To get the right pictures she did what she had to do. I just gritted my teeth and kept my mouth shut.
We went to the market this morning. I was limping along because Iggy wouldn’t go without me and I wanted fresh lettuces. We got arugula, red leaf and watercress along with salad turnips.
The test results came in last night. No blood clot. I’ll call the doctor Monday. I tested my BP this morning and it was down below the danger zone for the first time since I have been monitoring. Let’s hope I can keep it down, so no pills.

Linda, good luck with the appointment on Monday. I know you have a list of questions. They always want to make sure the "plumbing" works after any surgery due to the affects of the anesthesia, even if it's not intestinal or urinary in nature. Good news that the warranty covered the capacitor. While at the herb show we ran into a good friend that doesn't live far from the location (she's usually on some exotic trip this time of year so I didn't contact her to see if she wanted to meet us there) and she is having both knees replaced. Apparently she has no cartilage left and they are having to build custom hardware. She thinks it will probably be late June before they schedule her surgery. She's 2 years older than I am. I'll bet that false electors file is getting large. I think I heard something this past week about that. I wonder if they are going to try that stunt again this fall. They should have learned the first time around but they don't seem to be all that smart.
Great news on no blood clot, Chele. But you kind of figured that was the case. I hope you can get into PT starting next week so you can start getting the pain resolved. Also good news on the BP coming down. No pills would be great. Wonder how much of it was related to the pain you've been in. I'll bet your arugula is so much better than what I get at the supermarket. And you have salad turnips--envious! I love those dipped in hummus. What are your plans for those? Sushi at a Korean restaurant? Was it any different from what you get at a Japanese restaurant? Dale taped the ribs and I think it brought the pain level down from a 10 to an 8, so some improvement. I think they feel better sitting up than they did lying in bed. I put a couple of heat patches on top of the k-tape strips after my shower this morning and that's helping some. I think I overdid by quite a bit yesterday. Every right-hand bend in the road aggravated the pain, plus all the getting in and out of the car and carrying plants at the sale. I'm going to wait to change the bed until Dale is home tomorrow to help me pull things off and put them back on. He's at tennis right now, of course. I didn't fall on the area that hurts and it feels like a muscle pull. Ribs seem to be intact. Unfortunately, this type of injury does take time to heal. I hope I can make it to iTone on Monday but we'll see how it goes. Until then, I don't have much planned.
Kathy, we have coolish weather, so I hope you aren't in the 90s. Is the water level of the pond continuing to decrease? I saw my first hummingbird this morning, so I guess I better get the feeder out today.
I slept pretty well but, after 2 days of go-go-go, I'm still tired. So today is a rest day. I plan to put a package of veggie burgers in the oven but that may be the extent of my activity, other than watching baseball.

Chele, that's great news on no blood clot. Glad you were able to get to the market. Hope you can start the PT soon.
Karen, sorry the ribs are so sore, but glad it wasn't worse. Good idea to take a day of rest after all the activity. We're supposed to stay in the low 80s this weekend, so not too bad.
Linda, glad the warranty covered the capacitor. Good idea to get it replaced before it fails. I did that last time with mine too.

Karen, good grief! You also probably cracked ribs? Even pain at 8 is horrid. Rest! Did you get x ray? Take care. People can do without you for a bit.
Cheke , glad no clot and PT will be a pain at first but help. Have they an idea why it hurts? Tight hamstring? Bruise?
Washed a couple throws to put away, sat on chair to sort lower linen cabinet and got rid of a trunk load. Comforter, drapes sheets of Ashley Bramble 1983! Sheets shrunk. Tired of not finding things because they are behind stuff we do not use anyway. Sorted through the st Pat's day mostly cheap plastic stuff, the same with Valentine's day except the Ukrainian hearts and the under the sea tree stuff. Not going to change that often on the 7 foot tree DH insists has to stay all year. (Be careful what you start..)
slowly whittling down stuff and hope to have things clean and findable when I am laid up and DH keeps saying where is…..
it all goes to Good Will after I rest from mostly sitting! Sigh. Lot of pain today. I am getting prettying non functional, especially since bending over sets off the knee too, and that leg makes me kind of unstable. Guess I put this off too long. But the Pain from knee to hip is probably IT band which will get mad when the knock knee is realigned correctly. Sciatica has been with me since 1975. But at least the arthritis pain will be gone.
Cancelled lunch with friends..bit of a drive and knee lately really hates the brake pedal.not feeling terribly sociable.

Karen, were you able to sleep? I hope the pain has lessened and that you are taking it easy. I haven’t seen any hummingbirds yet but everyday we seem together more red winged blackbirds and grackles. They are pushing out the gold and house finches and I haven’t seen a chickadee in awhile. As soon as the veggies get planted the feeder goes away. A lot of Asian restaurants around here serve their home country’s food plus another Asian cuisine. The Vietnamese restaurant we like also cooks Chinese. This Korean restaurant also cooks Japanese. The sushi is really good there but expensive.
Kathy, we are at the same temperatures as you this weekend-low 80s. From frost to AC in 4 days. 🤪
Linda, since a blood clot isn’t causing the pain in my leg, it’s sciatica based on all the places I am feeling pain. I’m sorry to hear your pain level is increasing and you had to cancel lunch. I hope you’re doing better today.
My pain level is pretty low today but that is because I haven’t done anything strenuous and I am B-O-R-E-D. I am looking forward to PT, so I can get moving again.

Kathy, did you watch this week's Elsbeth? Given the last scene, I wonder if the lieutenant is the dirty cop and Wagner is being set up. I saw that there is supposed to be a season 2. I hope it's not too hot at your house today, especially with Chele and me being in the 80s. No cracked ribs, Linda. Just pulled a muscle and am making progress toward resolving the pain. You probably don't need any throws right now with the heat you're having. LOL on being careful what you start with your 7 foot tree. I was afraid that might eventually be the case. It's enough work to do once a year, but you're doing it multiple times with no assistance. Good that you are planning far ahead on getting things done before surgery. Sorry you ended up canceling lunch with your friends. I hope you can get together at least once more before the surgery. Chele, you're in the low 80s already? So are we, but I didn't think you would be that warm so quickly. I think we only have one hummingbird so far and I've seen it a couple of times today. I might not have noticed the one yesterday (which may be the same one we've had today) if it hadn't flown close to the window to let me know to put out the feeder. I think it might be the same one last year who would do fly-bys if the feeder was getting low. I don't think I've ever seen a Korean/Japanese restaurant, but it sounds like my kind of place. If the sushi is good, I don't mind paying a bit more for it. Glad your pain level is decreasing. Sometimes we need to listen to our bodies and back off a bit. I hope you get a great PT who will get you back to better-than-normal quickly. I used the TENS unit last night and I think it helped my pain level. I'm down to a 4 or 5/10 today, so major improvement. After I got the rib pain settled down I realized that my left arm was also hurting (which may have been from the gym and not the fall), which is probably why opening and closing the car door was painful and not totally due to the ribs. I did sleep well after I got the arm properly positioned. I stripped the bed and washed everything then Dale helped me put it back on. He also helped with the load of workout clothes so I wouldn't have to lift my arm high to hang up the line-dry stuff. I plan to go to iTone tomorrow but will get a light weight for the left arm and a heavy weight for the right arm and I'll back off if it's too much. Fortunately, the ankle seems perfectly fine. I have a hair cut after class.

Chele, the PT really helped my mom with the hamstring pull, so hope you get the same results. I'm surprised you got that warm already. It's been kind of cloudy here the past couple of days, so that's helped keep our temps in the low 80s. We got a spritz of rain yesterday, but it didn't last long at all.
Karen, sounds like we're having similar weather this weekend. I wish it could stay in the low 80s for awhile. It's just barely getting into the 60s at night and it's been trending upwards all week. I haven't watched Elsbeth yet, so didn't open your spoiler yet. I'll probably watch it tonight. Glad your pain level is lower today and that your ankle is fine.
Linda, I would get tired of redecorating the tree so often too.

DH fell again insisting onwalking Minni. I do not go far, but need to walk for the better knee. Yeah, it hurts.
I took her out and walked in the yard because she obviously wanted to go,but stubbornly waited for the walk as usual. She gave up waiting for the pm walk which I stopped. She must have not done well with the tuna she got or scarfed up something fast in the yard because it was quiche and he kept bending over with paper towels and the dizzy standing. I just use a plastic bag with my hand in it to grab whatever and turn it inside out.
No more of his walking her.I soon cannot take care of him if he gets hurt. And He is supposed to take care of me first couple weeks! She is not getting walked by me starting before my surgery at some point so she realizes it is the yard or not.
He says he is ok but I picture those cracks in his back getting bigger.
This week the Easter eggs on the 7 foot tree will go and the spring flowers and birds will go on it until I decide it is fall. So we are at three times. But it never comes down. At least I enjoy the lights in the evening.
we are normal temps now..mid 80s into low 90s, very dry. Sun intensity is high, you get hot fast.
got last of a sort of hedge next to back of house on one side pruned out at bottom for air circulation and blowing dead leaves out. Deadheaded roses…scratch..ouch. Should have worn the long gloves.
Went through my preop folder and wrote down questions for appt. Tomorrow. Sure is a lot to process. Glad I have home healthcare coming three times a week for PT and checking wound. Wrote down questions to ask. Now my anxiety is making me want to eat!
Guess I better start the pot roast..and easy dinner with leftovers!
