This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and Happy Sensational Saturday! Getting my day started with coffee, then I'm going to hop in the shower and get myself ready to head out. We're going to cruise all of the little antique and junk shops in the town by the lake and then find somewhere to eat. Probably either our fave steakhouse or Mexican place, depending on how I feel come time to eat. Mark says that I'm supposed to buy anything that strikes my fancy in the shops. Of course, I think he knows that I'm always so apt to walk away from things I like and overthink any potential purpose, so he probably thinks he's safe from huge expenditures. haha! I just hope I actually find some wonderful treasures. Robin!!! How wonderful! It sounds like you've found the perfect new work setting! I'm so excited for you. Wishing a Sensational Saturday for all. I'll try to BBL.

Good Morning All - I had a meeting at the clubhouse this morning about a Care Team event on Monday morning. I am one of the leaders of the group and it is a fantastic team in our neighborhood that offers prayer, meals, transportation, etc for anyone in need in our neighborhood! I was going to go to WW, but oops my weight is up 3 lbs over my goal, so I decided to skip....gee, I did so well and was FREE for so long...that's OK I will get back in the groove and WI next month. Today I am off to the library and stopping my AAA to pick up a couple of maps so we can decide if we want to stay overnight someplace on our way to MA.
Lora - I am like you when it comes to shopping...I overthink and then later wish I had bought it....so just BUY what you like!
Robin - I am sooo happy for you...the job sounds perfect. Maybe being let go from the old one was a blessing in disguise.
Janet - I would be nervous about not knowing about the staff changes too, but then maybe if it is something you are not crazy about at least you won't spend the whole summer fretting about it. I would think you would have some seniority there...does that make any difference?
Jana - if it is drizzling and yucky looking outside like it is here, I am guessing there will be no outdoor time today....maybe tomorrow...
Waving to Jill - hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend.
OK... off to the library

Hi Everyone, I am sitting here in the library with my friend being bored. I think she got the codes she needed to transfer her ticket/s or most of them anyway. I don't know what she'll do though when it's time to use them as these places want to scan your phone and she doesn't have a cell phone. When you go to print the ticket/s they don't print the scan part of the ticket. I transferred my tickets to the wallet and when the concert was over I deleted the copies of it. The only other alternative may be to loan her my phone but I'd really rather not do that.
Lora, I hope you find something you like and enjoy wherever you decide to eat at.
I am glad I got my shopping done. I would have hated to waste my whole time waiting in the library for her to get done.
I thought maybe I'd go over to the glass place and see what they say about whether they can put the lenses in the new glasses. I am thinking maybe purchasing a vision plan. I didn't realize that the medical plan I have through work doesn't cover the vision. They had a voluntary plan but I hadn't enrolled in it. Now I could either enroll in this other plan, just pay for the glasses without insurance and wait until Open Enrollment for the other plan which I don't know any details about since Open Enrollment is over now. If I decided to do this plan that my sister has it would overlap the other plan though. I think I will first see what the cost will be without and then I will know if it would be worth it.

Hi again!
We're home. As I suspected would happen, I bought nothing for myself. Haha! DH did get a couple of junk treasure for himself though. Afterwards we took the scenic route through the mountains and along the river to the Mexican restaurant and I had my favorite steak fajitas and some stuffed jalapeños appetizer. On the way home we stopped at our an amazing strawberry farm here on the mountain and bought a few perfect strawberries. We don't eat much fruit, and pretty much it's just exclusively a few strawberries or blackberries (in season) for us. So that will be a nice birthday treat for later.
Janet - I'm not even sure how people get by without a cell phone these days. We ONLY have cell phones. Haven't had a land line in probably 10 years or more.
Susie - Sounds like another busy day for you. I actually know what I want, and promised DH that when I found it, I'd go ahead and buy it. (We'll see how that works out...Lol)
Waving to everyone and hoping all are having a really nice weekend!

Hello everyone,
I got up this morning and packed up the items to take to the auction place. It has been rainy and cold all day. I have even thought about having a little fire going to warm up and dry the chilly air. Of course, it was pouring rain when I was unloading my stuff in town, but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow because I will be mowing. It is supposed to be in the upper 70s tomorrow, so quite a turnaround from today!
Happy Birthday, Lora! Glad you had a nice lunch and got some strawberries for later. I hope your ILs are feeling better on the antibiotics.
Susie, that is such a nice service for your community. Well, darn those 3 lbs. You will get those down and be free again!
Jana, I hope you will get that fun time by the pool tomorrow!
Janet, I always wonder why vision and dental can't just be included in the health insurance packages that we get through work. Did you check out any books at the library while you were waiting?
The dogs are giving me the dinner time-check. All three sit and stare at me, and one will hit me with a paw, then another, then the last one. It is a ritual. I think I am going to just get a small, low fire going and let it burn for a little while. I kind of need to use up more of the firewood on my porch, since I want to clean and paint it this summer! I hope everyone is having a nice day. I'll be back but waving to all for now.
