Good morning.
47, foggy, chance of rain for a bit, then a high of 66.
Robin, I am moving May 25th, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Yes, it is hard to tell this area, with so many little burbs hooked to GB. Maybe someday in the future GB will consolidate a lot of those into the city. They did that back in the 50's (I think) with a town called Preble.
I was able to get a pack of 3 chicken breasts on sale so that is what I used for the soup. Tony had 3 bowls, so I think it was good,
Did you find any tops at Kohl's? I can see the future, and it is telling me I need to get a bit more dressier clothes for where Tony wants to take me occasionally, which means, when I catch my breath a huge shopping trip to Kohl's.
Your trip coming up this week sounds so fun!! I would love all that eating out in a city like that, have fun!!!
Robin, about your comment on the right knee being the worst one; with me it was the left knee that was so hard to get to bend. I had the manual manipulation, dry needling, which finally broke that hold.
Gareth, no pictures of Tony, I just never think of getting one of him. He is one of my Facebook friends, go into my FB and click on his name, (he is the only Tony) and go to his account and see if you can look at his pictures.
Believe me, if that happens to my eyes again, I will be on the phone as soon as it is a time that the eye place is open. That scared the heck out of me. I couldn't imagine if I was driving and driving in rain at that!!!
We have not received as much rain as other places, as usual.
Carol, nice that your time with DGS was good, and DD's birthday was a good time. When my DGD was diagnosed with Asperger's, it was a bit late too, like your DS. It may have been kindergarten or 1st grade.
I am so happy you were not affected by those horrible tornadoes in OK. What a nightmare of a weekend for so many people, between Nebraska, Iowa, and OK. I just heard a 4-month-old baby died in one of the OK tornadoes.
Your DS may have a rough time with the chemo, then she will have a better time, when she is off of it for a while. I hated going back to get the chemo the next time. My DH had to really push me.
I started looking online at apartments closer to me, within a set amount of rent, is how I found this apartment I am moving to. No, I did not look at where Tony lives, with that property manager telling me I could not view the apartment till after the tenant moved out turned me off to the place.
Anngie, that is great that the school kids are exposed to other sports. I think some of the outlying schools do la crosse, but I think the city schools do not do it.
May 25th is moving day. Then, either Sunday or Monday, I can come over here and finish any last-minute cleaning and leave the keys and remotes.
I had such a nice afternoon with Tony. Then he talked me into going with him to his very close friends cottage/house on the west side of the bay. He wanted me to meet them, he thinks we would all be perfect fit, as the 3 of them are going to Door County sometime soon, (I don't remember when) and he would love for me to come with. It was raining pretty good over there, and the wind!! But it was neat watching the white caps on the bay, and their cottage, which they had flipped is just wonderful. The woman is a retired nurse from the hospital I worked at. Very nice people. From what I took, Tony has been telling people about me.
He wants me to go with him on the ferry across Lake Michigan to Michigan then drive north to Mackinaw Island, then drive back down to GB. He wants to do it in June, since he has trips planned in July and August. June would be very hard for me to swing with all the expenses I have so far and by June 1st spent. I need to relook at my financials this week to see if I can swing it, as I would love to go, but in the back of my mind, I am worried.
