This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning everyone.
The weekend was good and productive. I woke up with some tummy issues on Saturday and it was raining and cool. I didn't get much done on Saturday. We went to DGD play at her school. It was Junie B. Jones and super cute. DGD did very well. Her mom's parents were both there and the DGK went home with them and spent Saturday night. I am pretty sure this is the first time they have stayed with them since they found out their mom was in jail. I know DGD needed to see them and be with them, so I am glad they were there. I know they are very busy and have a lot going on, as they have custody of ExDIL's twins now that she is in jail. Honestly those babies are better off with their grandparents.
After the play we visited with the neighbors - I told them that my ulcer was flaring up and I couldn't drink. They still offered me shots and beer and other drinks but I held fast and didn't accept any drinks. It was also the first time I had seen their son since the incident last September. We stayed a couple of hours and everything was fine. It was nice to wake up Sunday morning without feeling the affects of alcohol from the night before.
Sunday was beautiful. I got outside by 8 a.m. and started weeding and cleaning up. By noon it was so hot, that I stopped. I showered and DH and watched Baby Reindeer on Netflix. Very odd show but we liked it. It is based on a true story.
No pool time but that was ok. I just wasn't feeing it yet. I know the water was going to be super cold. I just wasn't doing well with the heat on Sunday.
Daddy was feeling better on Sunday, thank goodness.
Lora glad you found the blender you wanted. Sounds like you had a good birthday weekend. I know you are looking forward to your trip to Michigan. How far is that for you? Detroit is a good 10 hours from where I am so I imagine it is going to be quite a bit more for you, depending on what part of MI you are going to. I am glad you enjoyed your weekend.
Robin congratulations on the job. I am excited for you.
Susie glad to hear that DH is feeling better. I hope your meeting goes well today. I love that idea.
Janet glad there wasn't anything to bad with the car.
Waving to Jill. I hope you are doing ok. It has been a little while since you posted.
I hope you all have a great Monday.

Good morning! Hoping we're all able to get this week started off on a good foot that we can build on for a great week. Jana - thanks for starting us. Detroit is about 10.5 hours with no stops. My bladder will be requiring stops. Haha! It's almost straight north of us, it would be wonderful if we had a straight line single interstate from here to there. This afternoon we have a zoom appointment with our investment advisors. We usually meet with them a couple of times of year, unless something serious pops up. My glutes are certainly telling me about my time on the leg press yesterday. Haha! They are SORE, but it's that good kind of sore. I was feeling good on it, so just ketp doing sets of 10 until I couldn't anymore. I think I did either 13 or 14 sets of 10 @ 250 lbs. Not bad for a 60 year old, I think. I've got some beef tips thawing out for supper tonight. We're having beef tips w/mushrooms & onions & cauli-rice. I'm looking forward to that meal. Well, one more cup of coffee and then I need to get going on laundry. My current book club book is "The Laughter Effect: How to Build Joy, Resilience, and Positivity in Your Life". It talks about why laughing is good for us and how just the act of laughing releases certain "feel good" hormones in your body and works to give us a more positive mindset, much like happens with gratitudes. It's really interesting stuff. I'm trying to put forth a real effort on doing some of the exercises it recommends. I also need to buy a new journal for writing down and tracking some things it recommends. Anyway, I hope all of us find a reason to laugh today! Sometimes joy doesn't just come to you and you have to go find it or make it happen!

Good Morning All - well the DGDs did not want to do mani/pedis yesterday; they decided they would rather wait til summer. So... I am going today for my pedicure. I went to my gym class then a VERY short walk with DD since I had to get to the CARE TEAM presentation at the clubhouse. My pedicure is next and then reading for the afternoon.
Jana - sounds like a good weekend...you got a lot accomplished AND had some fun time also. I am glad things went well when you saw DN's son!
Lora - Wow girl, that is a lot of reps on the leg press - good for you! I am hoping to laugh a lot today!
Waving to everyone....

Jana, sounds like a great time at your neighbor's and that it felt good the next morning too. Glad your dad is feeling better. Lora, the blender sounds wonderful! When are you headed up north? Way to go at the gym, and yum! Dinner sounds yummy. Susie, I hope you had a good time at your pedicure and reading. I haven't had a pedicure in forever!!! Sounds nice! Robin, I get anxiety too which is fairly new. I just talked with a therapist about it, and she believes that Menopause has something to do with mine. I hope your shadowing goes well, and they'll be lucky to have you!! Janet, glad all was well with your car. You are so kind to take care of the plants; that would make me nervous. I tend to not keep plants alive. I am feeling better, but my voice is not back yet. I've been tired each night, which I think has to do with this darn bronchitis. But, I am on the mend. I had a nice weekend. On Saturday after lunch, DH and I went to Belk. He found a shirt and I purchased a dress, which I love! This Thursday we're headed up to Ohio for my YDS's graduate school graduation. Waving hi to all!
