Hey all,
Another Monday nearing to a close! Not much new here. Daisy and I worked today, went for a long walk in the nice weather with my friend and her doggie. Attended an online TOPS group and I also had some blood work done. Dinner was leftover pasta and sausage.
Hope everyone is doing well. We are FINALLY back to feeling well again. I am going to work tomorrow mainly to attend the retirement gathering of a dear friend. I will miss her though we mostly are in contact through phone calls. She is moving to Maine soon and expecting a first grandchild. I'm so happy for them.
Pop in when you can. Sue, hope you took it easy on your first day back at work. Pam, hope all is well with you and your family. We all have had a time of it for sure. TTFN

Good evening!
I’m so glad to hear everyone is doing better and life is getting back to normal! My DH was back in his garden this week, which tells me he’s feeling better. His recent checkup with the PCP went well.
It’s rainy here today, but thankfully no tornadoes this week. All my Nebraska relatives and friends are okay, though some were uncomfortably close to the torndoes. The pictures of the areas that were hit reminded me of the Mississippi Gulf Coast post-Katrina. It takes years for an area to recover from a storm that devastating.
Today I helped with the audit of the books for Catholic Daughters. It’s a boring way to spend 3+ hours, but someone has to do it. The state court requires 3 members to assist who are not officers. I was an alternate but got called in last minute when someone got sick.
Tomorrow, DH and I plan to go to BTR for a movie and late lunch/early dinner at my favorite restaurant. We plan to see Challengers. I have not walked for two days and my snacking is getting out of hand again. When will I ever learn?!
Hope y’all had a great day and get a good night’s rest!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Here we are with a new week! I returned to school yesterday and it went very well. DH also had a good day, so our evening was very pleasant.
We both slept well and DH made us pancakes and bacon for breakfast. I am dressed and ready to go to school. We have a lovely sunny 60 degrees, with an expected high of 70.
BBL. Make a great day!

Good to hear you both are well. I had a great day yesterday and enjoyed a long and sunny walk. Unfortunately, the good times did not last long! If it weren't for bad luck, I feel I'd have none, as they say. I was making tea after dinner and somehow just twisted my ankle the wrong way - heard a loud pop - followed by excrutiating pain. Didn't sleep well. I spent the morning in Urgent care and though no bones are broken, I have torn a tendon. Will be going back to the hospital this afternoon for more testing and then seeing an orthopedist soon. I am unable to bear any weight at all on that leg - feels worse than any break I've had in the past - and am in an air cast and on a walker. Good GRIEF. I am feeling depressed and disgusted. Hoping it heals fast. The only silver lining is that I am in no pain at all sitting so I can continue to work fine.
Have a good day and stay well everyone.

Judy ~ Bummer!! I have endured a series of sprains in the past, and they always remind me that that is worse than a break. (who would have thought?) Glad you are not in excrutiating pain!! Take care of yourself.
I made it through work yesterday but was wiped out when I got home. I slept 12 hours last night (after my afternoon nap) and feel a million times better today. A hot shower and fresh outfit perked me up a bit.
Pam ~ Hope you and your hubby enjoyed the movie! That sounds like a real treat!!
BBL. Make a great day!

Thanks, friends! Pam, your prayers worked! Sue, yes, sprains and ruptures hurt more than breaks sometimes. The good news is that I am home today working and the pain has diminished quite a bit. I am mainly hurting when changing positions from sitting to standing. My doctor says "Motion is Lotion" so I am trying to walk around so that the tendon doesn't stiffen up. Feeling so much better overall. I had to go to the hospital for an ultrasound yesterday afternoon. Turns out they worried there was a blood clot but thankfully, I checked out clean. Good to be sure.
Sue, glad you had lots of rest which you needed, too. Pam, hope all is well with you and that you enjoyed the movie!
I'll check in later. Have a great day. I have two work Zooms to attend coming up. Fun, fun!

Hello friends, I am glad to hear everyone is doing better, even if not back 100%. DH and I had a good time yesterday, even though neither of us really liked the movie. I really didn't like any of the characters and the movie switches back and forth in time, a particular peeve of mine. Add in gratuitous penis shots and you have it in a nutshell. Still, we found plenty to discuss about it afterwards, so not a total loss. We stopped by Barnes and Noble which is near the movie theater and I told DH I felt like I was taking a drug addict to a crack house, lol. He held it down to 2 books, a record for him. I'd just as soon save my money and read stuff on Libby. Dinner was awesome, as is usual at this restaurant. DD3 bartended and then waited tables there in her college days and until she got a real job. I had a cup of crab and brie soup and a veal dish served over asparagus with a crab meat topping. DH had the fried crawfish salad and two crab cakes topped with remoulade sauce. We got a piece of turtle cheesecake and shared it later at home. Today, I went to town for my private exercise class, then made a trip to the bank and got gas for the car. I had several loads of laundry to do and saved the last one to include my sweaty clothes after weeding flower beds. It got up to 91 today! I should have walked, but didn't. Tomorrow, Jude will come and take out our 2 dead Japanese magnolia trees and help with other strenuous chores. I am hoping he will have time to wash the Highlander for me. We parked under a tree at the car show last weekend and the birds pooped all over it. I went through a car wash which did little to nothing to clean the car and cost me $9. DH and I had restaurant leftovers for dinner and watched The Holdovers movie on Prime. It was very touching. Time to read a bit before bed. Sweet dreams!
