Thanks for the start, Chele. I hope you had a good conversation with the doctor and have a plan for your recovery. Do you have a start date for PT yet? Hard to believe May starts tomorrow.
Kathy, I agree that the captain being the culprit would be far too obvious, and it didn't seem reasonable that DOJ would be doing all this to gather evidence on one rogue police official so it must go deeper. I also wondered if the situation would continue into season 2 or if she would have a new focus next season. Glad you're still sitting in the 80s, knowing what is to come soon. Agreed on the Trump-DeSantis alliance. Got to wonder what's really behind the scenes.
Are you able to rent all that equipment like the fancy walker and the pedal thing so you don't have to store it after you're recovered? Is there anything besides Percocet that can be prescribed, since you react to it? I've always heard that day #3 is the absolute worst in any surgical recovery. Good that you'll be able to get your shot in the other knee soon after the surgery. Is he recommending the same surgical procedure for that one eventually? Hard to believe tomorrow you'll be two weeks out from the surgery. It sure seemed like a long way off when you first got the date. I saw about Lake and Trump being on the outs. I think she's out of her league. Did you also see that Kristi Noam, who is rumored to be on the short list for Trump's VP, bragged about shooting to death a 14 month old puppy because she said it was "untrainable"? So disgusting....
Been following the news out of Charlotte on the officers killed in the ambush. I had the Roku app loaded for the news station we watched when we lived there, so I've been watching it. Their coverage was, of course, a lot more comprehensive than even what's on the national news. The officers never stood a chance and it's a miracle more weren't killed. I baked Arya some butternut squash this morning and have GF bread proofing. I thought the recipe looked like it was going to make a really big loaf and my large mixing bowl almost wasn't large enough. I ended up having to divide it into 2 loaves for proofing so now I have to figure out how I'm going to bake 2 loaves at the same time. The oven is large enough but I don't know if I have 2 baking pans the right size. I'll give one of the loaves to the GF Osteo coach on Thursday, so I won't have to eat it all myself. It's sorghum and cassava flours and potato starch, so I'm anxious to see how different this loaf is from the previous ones I've made.

Karen, I hope the bread turns out well. It sounds good. I read about the officers. I am not encouraged about the future.
Linda, it seems like you have everything in hand for your surgery. It will come up quick.
Kathy, I hope your weather stays reasonable.
Doctor is putting in the referral for PT. Insurance wants an authorization. I’ll be lucky to get scheduled in 2 weeks and in 2 weeks is the wedding. Sigh.

Chele, AACCCK! The medical wheels turn so slowly. Never mind that you're in PAIN as long as the insurance company is happy 😣. I forgot the wedding was coming up so soon. I hope you can get some relief before you go out of town. Does it bother you to ride in the car?

She also put down three horses and a goat. Now she says the dog bit her…I would too. She thought it would make her look like a tough woman who deals with things. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 and makes the gun people happy… really do not see the NRA wanting a we shoot your pets image.
The pedal thing is rented.but insurance will supposed cover it if I use it within 48 hours of going home. It actually reports back.and I have to fill in an app on the resistance level, etc. it tattles. The Walker was Medicare…since the 20 year old one is Bob's and he occasionally needs it. I did have to lay for the ice machine which is basically a little cooler with water and ice that pumps into and out of a wrap around pad on the knee…lasts long time if you use six frozen small bottles of water instead of ice chunks and just swap them out when needed. Unfortunately down the road I will need it for the other knee. So will DB sometime in future …of for a foot or shoulder. You get different pads if needed. I also got a new foam leg elevation pillow that looks like a long rectangle with a circular hollow down to keep knee in straight position. That came yesterday as a tight roll about 8 inches diameter and foot long. Set free, it uncompressed itself! Kinda spooky.
probably Percocet is better than other stuff that constipates. My system does not like pain meds except IV morphine! Conked out immediately in ER with bad kidney stone.
read and in depth article about current college kids being educated in an atmosphere of ant-colonialism, anti European therefore, anti racial seeing white people as enemy in history. Sounded like very Conservative author, but pro-Palestinian SJP group with Hamas ties has been on campuses 30 years now, kicked out of a lot of European ones. Arrested a number on non-students in Texas yesterday. But it anppears to be mainly students outraged ant the news. They also know little history of the Middle East. They romanticize the Vietnam war protests Another article talked about their having had a hard time with COVID isolation, school shootings, etc. so being angry and not being patriotic. Interesting. And unfortunately excusing attacks on Jewish people here not involved. They are talking about another Chicago Democratic convention like 1968 but this time the police and organizers of events are different and prepared. Just hoping not to see another Kent State.
This violence and anti police aura since last summer and now the arrests might lead to more stuff like yesterday. Shocking.
can one roll up a loaf like French bread and bake it panless?
