Those who have committed to being the best they can be. A place to come and share. A group that is there for one another. Though there is a list, it changes from time to time. Let us know if you might be interested in joining us and I will add your name to the list.

It is another overcast day today and already after noon. I have not made the kale yet and if we are going to eat it for lunch, should get it and the other items on the menu cooked so...will wish you all a good day and hope to have more time to "chat" tomorrow.

Good morning. It was nice and sunny this morning, but now there are a few clouds and I think there will be more coming. Its supposed to get up to 57 today and it's already 46, so whether it makes it or not remains to be seen. It's a bit windy today too, right now 15 mph from the west.
I haven't done much of anything yet today, but I do have a few projects to work on. Don't know which one I'll pick.
There are still a few pheasants hanging around the yard and a couple of partridges. The pheasants are so colorful at this time of the year. The ones that are here all seem to have a hen hanging out with them, so I suppose they have all paired off by now. Later they will all come around with their chicks. Same with the partridges.
Guess it's about time to get on with my day. Have a good one, everyone.

Hello friends,
Almost summer weather here today. They are saying that we break a record for this day that is over a hundred years old. The record for the day is 90 deg, set back in 1901. They say we may match it or exceed it today. It is humid to boot. We are in AC weather.
Cherry, I am interested in the pheasants. Do they pick a new mate every year? Do they just do what chickens do & one rooster can supply a whole field of hens? Some birds mate for life. What do the pheasants do? Do people eat the pheasants there? They are not very common here at all, though I do remember my dad killing some & us eating them once or twice when I was young. I haven't seen any in years now.
Not much going on here today. DS#1 is working on planting a garden this year. Last fall we had planted some turnip green seeds. Turnip greens usually come up in the fall, well, ours never came up, not even one plant. Well this spring, a few of those seeds came up. Today DS was tilling up the space & he decided to just pull up the turnip greens. They generally don't do well in the summer months. Anyway, I have washed them & have them cooking. I like turnip greens, but I hate to wash & cook them. I haven't cooked them since my mom left, 10 yrs ago. She loved them. Anyway, that is probably what I will be having for dinner. DH doesn't touch them. DD loves them, so maybe she will come by.
Have a great day everyone

Today is overcast, again. This afternoon Rosalie will pick me up at 3pm and we will go walk in Batroun, window shop, perhaps buy something if we see something we like at the outlet, then have coffee before returning home. I might buy some wine and enjoy it this evening. It will be a good day.
