We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 51 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished April 1, 2024. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members may join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started April 1, 2024, is "250 Miles by Sept. 1, 2024."

THURSDAY! CAIT -- thanks for the May start! Good luck making time for your PT/ST. I know you feel better when you do. KELLY -- good job getting in 5+ miles and switching out your closet. It's a great day when I can make a donation run, for sure! I guess all our neighbor kids are too big for May baskets these days. We didn't get any . I think it's an old practice that is falling by the wayside. I went to water class yesterday and stretched, and I walked 2 miles today. I also stretched this afternoon. Happy Spring! 49.5/250 miles 21/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb:13; Mar:19; Apr:19; May: 2/31

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Thurs I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 22 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
DH took the car in for service at a Subaru dealer Tues and they gave him a loaner to come home and return later and all went well. Then he took the truck in Wed am to a Chevy dealer and was sent home in a Lyft, and he never heard back from them. Finally he called around 5 pm and they said they had to keep it overnight. Yesterday he called them twice and they finally called back late in the day and said it needs a part shipped from out of state, so they’re keeping it til at least next Tues. Each day he had to stay dehydrated because he might need to go out. Needless to say he is not impressed. He thinks they overbooked and didn’t even look at it until the end of the day Wed and didn’t start trying to work on it until late yesterday 🤷🏻♀️.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Fri I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 28 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 Yesterday I got my hair cut and went out to get a passport photo so I can renew my passport. It expired last year but can still be renewed. This am I attended my weekly WW virtual meeting: “How to make healthy eating more exciting” We have candles (battery power) on the dinner table. I need to limit my reading during meals and eat more mindfully, be more “present” during the meals. www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/make-healthy-eating-more-excitingKELLY - GFY with the 5.02 mi Tues-Wed and 2.44 mi Thurs. You sure make good use of your days off! DH and I don’t switch out clothes much here with the seasons - they’re all just hanging together. But I do need to get rid of some clothes I haven’t worn in a long time and pass on clothes and things we don’t need….among my too many “to-do’s.” 🤷🏻♀️ CAROL - GFY with the Wed water class & stretching, and Thurs 2 mi walk & stretching. I finally read the last posts in April - thanks for the insights into tornado watch living. Sounds scarier than our earthquakes; we don’t have notice, but they’re over quickly and usually limited damage in small areas compared to tornadoes. And I have fond childhood memories of earthquakes being exciting - at my grandparents’, they woke us all up in the middle of the night and had us sit under the huge dining room table and we got treats 😍. GJ with the Sunday walk, Mon water class and Tues lap swim. Hope the breathing improves. 😕🤔 I had never heard of the May Basket tradition until recently. Here’s a belated May Basket for you from our garden - these greeted us when we returned last Friday! Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Sat I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 27 pts. We walked 2.7 mi after breakfast, went to the Farmers Market and picked up lunch takeout.
Yesterday I went out and got some fruit we were running short on, and to stock up a bit because we thought maybe DD1 and fam might be coming over today. The girls eat lots of fruit 🤩. But alas, they can’t come today. But I’m glad I didn’t buy chips, etc., just fruit we will use 🍇🍏🍊.
DD2 is in Mexico City now for a friend’s wedding and I asked her if Cinco de Mayo is a big deal there. She said only in Puebla, Mexico, where the battle took place. It’s big here in So Cal - not so much in other parts of Mexico or among other Latinos. It’s become a day here in the US to celebrate Mexican history and culture. Our local bar and grill “Gallagher’s” has had Mexican Fiesta type decorations up all week - any opportunity for a party!

SUNDAY!
KELLY -- good job, as usual, with your walks & WATP.
CAIT -- your roses are beautiful! Ours won't bloom for another month or so. GFY with your HHs and mindful eating reminders. What gives with the PT/ST? I've slacked off my ST, too; maybe keeping bands near the TV will encourage me. It didn't work with flossing, but who knows? So frustrating with the car repair. What would it hurt to be honest about the timeline?
Friday I swam laps & stretched in the pool, and yesterday I walked 2 miles. I just finished a band workout and stretched. If I walk or go to water class later I'll come back and edit.
Have a good week! 53/250 miles 23/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb:13; Mar:19; Apr:19; May: 4/31

Good Morning!!
I added 9 miles Fri-Sun.( WATP)
It rained all weekend. Ran some errands Sat and did laundry. We went to Church on Sunday and did an Aldi run. Managed to relax, read, and watch some movies.
Cait: Good job on your good days. Glad you got healthy fruit and not chips for an anticipated visit, now no temptation. Bummer about the poor customer service at the dealer. I've noticed that good customer service hard to come by.
Your flowers are beautiful. I am looking forward to my 2 rose bushes blooming.
I have been reading The Lost and Found Bookshop. Most likely will finish this evening. I have been enjoying it.
Carol: You are doing great with your workouts.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!
Have a good day!!

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Sun I did 3/6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💛 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 34 pts. We walked 3.6 mi for breakfast out.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: N - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): N - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
Yesterday I was able to sit out on the patio and we had lunch out there. I made progress on some things I’d been putting off 😍. The night eating urge got me, but I decided how many pts I was willing to spend, pretracked it, weighed it out into a bowl, and didn’t go back for more, though I was sorely tempted.
CAROL - GFY with the Fri lap swim & stretching, Sat 2 mi walk and Sun band WO and stretching. KELLY - GFY with the 9 mi Fri-Sun. Glad you had a relaxing weekend. I looked up “The Lost and Found Bookshop” because the title is so similar to the book I recently finished but they are by different authors. It sounds like a book I’d enjoy.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

MONDAY, MONDAY!
KELLY -- I'm glad you had a relaxing, yet productive weekend. Good job getting in 9 miles of WATP!
CAIT -- Nice job controlling your "snack attack," even though I know you'd rather avoid it altogether!
I got myself into a reading crunch. I needed to finish one group's selection (did it), start & finish the other group's selection (on tap for this week), and read the election board manual and watch the training videos and take the quizzes. Phew! I just finished it, but will I remember it next Tuesday? DOUBTFUL! This is the first election where photo ids will be required, and the regulations around that are mind-blowing! Luckily, I won't be the supervisor!
Yesterday I was so stiff from yardwork that I went to the Sunday evening water class and stretched. It felt sooooooo goooooood! Today I went to the "new" water class and stretched.
Have a good week! 57/250 miles 25/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb:13; Mar:19; Apr:19; May: 6/31
