Good morning.
50, cloudy, waiting on the rain to get here, high of 58.
Robin, I too forgot when Marsha was to be going for the unveiling, which I do remember the discussion about. Sorry about your secretary. That is kind of scary if there is a new strain of covid.
I have no idea about the laws here in WI concerning Airbnb's. I do know the guys gave it a good try, with it being at least 3 years out by now. They bought the land from us in March of 2020, but it took them a long time to complete the house, what with all the delays in getting supplies. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the trashing that is chasing them out.
Have a wonderful time while in Boston.
Pinky, you brought up something that here too we have not seen in a long while...puddles! We do get mud puddles, but those dry up thankfully very fast in this drought I think we are finally coming out of.
Hahaha, I still don't know what Tony is "looking into" as to that trip to Michigan. He did say he is working on the figures, and will make his presentation today, when we go to dinner. He did hint that it has to do with scaling back a bit, so we shall see. He had originally wanted to go for 3 nights, so maybe it is 2 nights now.
I remember you making vanilla before, which just goes hand in hand with everything else you do. I really don't know how you do it, especially with keeping the books and all for the seeding and the insurances. Then all your grandkids!!!
Gareth, the garage was expanded through the back, to add the party room. That was the only thing they were allowed by the village of Ashwaubenon, to add to. It was very nice, but I do not see that as a plus, selling the house, unless they advertise it as a party house. The house, as a 1-bedroom house, with kitchen, living room, laundry room and bathroom would be a perfect size for me, but I do not want home ownership.
I think that very soon we too should be out of that drought danger.
Marsha, the very first person (a young woman) the guys rented it to for a weekend, trashed it. They were fit to be tied. So, they did find out the hard way, right away.
If you are lucky, the leaves might be changing in September, so what a sight that might be!!!
Way to go on the walk, versus the biking!!
Carol, maybe the guys that turned my DB property into a party house got some grief from the neighborhood! I had not thought of that. But I would not be surprised.
So sorry about your DS. But at least they can work around the trachea issue. Sometimes you just have to shake your head and wonder what the heck??!!! Insurance companies truly run the country. Will your DS be admitted to hospital #2 right away, or will she sit and wait at home?
Part of my stress has been worrying about getting the garage emptied, as DGS and I worked on it a couple years ago, but then quit. So, more needs to be done. I tried yesterday, after work, to haul some stuff to the dumpster, but there are sets of shelving that DH thought was a good idea, that need to be taken apart then tossed; I tried to take them apart, but my muscles are not men muscles. I mentioned it to Tony last night, and I could just hear his tail wagging, excited to come help me. The man of the couple I met the other day (his very close friends) might need all the shelving. Things may work out after all!!!
Reading the story on FB last night about the middle school at Mount Horeb, a small town a half an hour away from our state capital, Madison having a middle schooler come to school yesterday with a gun, and getting shot dead from the police officers had me so sad, as one of our male students that is somewhat of a brooder, had a very hard time yesterday, was allowed to wander the halls, for most of the day. I did hear him venting, that life is just not worth living sometimes. Come to find out, his girlfriend broke up with him. I gave him a wide berth, whenever I was walking the halls. But it sure got me thinking last night, with how he felt, and that shooting yesterday. We do not know how depressed some of these kids are.
