Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce, I hope you are enjoying your day off. Any big plans for the weekend?
Ruth, I agree with you about not converting your IRA’s to Roths in order to possibly save the kids the tax burden. That’s disappointing that you won’t be getting any money back since you changed your plans to something less expensive. I’m sure your YDD will be happy for your help next week. Sometimes jobs like that just go better and also faster with an extra set of eyes/hands helping.
Waving to Martha and Bonnie.
The play last night was good but not great. It was Clue the musical, where they gave clues about who killed the person. There were forms to fill out, I figured out which room the “killing” took place but didn’t know the weapon or the person. That was fun but some of the actors spoke so fast that I had a tough time following them. I have the sauce made and the deviled part of the egg ready to finish in the morning before we leave. It will be an early morning for us but doable. I did one load of L and may do another later today or may wait till we get home tomorrow afternoon.

TGIF! I made it to ww mtg/wi. The scale wasn't in a good mood. It was up but am still free, by the skin of my teeth. Took walk at cemetery and just missed bus. Sat & read while waiting. On my way home. Menu planning & checking cupboards is on the agenda. Wkend plans - are the oh so exciting ones of getting groceries. I should go by friend's house but am staying home. I'll try to get back to post over wkend. Have a wonderful day! (((Hugs)))

Good night all. I had a good text chat this morning with younger DD’s BFF from high school whose father passed away from Parkinson’s. We started talking about a high school prom picture. But I had a few questions and asked her if she was comfortable answering and she said always. Her dad was 45 when diagnosed and he dealt with PD for 23 years before it caused his death. They were able to care for him at home, except for when he tore his rotator cuff from the dyskinesia and fell and needed hip surgery. And they think he too had PD for several years before diagnosed. He had 3 daughters and they will all have to be vigilant because he was early onset and that is the only type that they know is hereditary. Was a good talk. He did not ever suffer from dementia which was nice to know. Then I had a text chat with one of our MN WW gals and her husband is being tested tonight for REM sleep disorder; but can’t get into the Parkinson’s neurologist until October. The wait times to see specialists is just ridiculous.
When Stan got home from Pedal Class we went and ordered my new glasses and picked up some carpet samples for the living room if we decide to go that direction. We at least want to know what the cost would be.
We got in a short walk tonight. I went with Stan & Maggie. I’m going to have to push myself to go every day or every other day. Start with short walks and build up. It’s what I have to do.
Not sure what we have to do this weekend. Rain tomorrow and nice on Sunday.
Dottie enjoy your family get together. Safe travels.
Martha, hope to see you this weekend.
Waving to Bonnie & Joy. Hope Joy’s work went well.
Will try to check in this weekend.
