Did not make it lower on the scale...might even be up. So, am reining myself in and back on track this morning. Today will be a better day of planning and eating healthy food than the last two days were.
Hope to talk to our children and granddaughters this weekend.
My go-to alone time occupation has always been reading. I like some crafts and music and other things but reading has always and will always be something I enjoy doing.

I don't think I added a lot more movement this round. But, I'll keep trying. Also, yesterday did add more movement...mowed the lawn (backyard, inside fence) for the first time this season. There's more to mow on Sunday, the front yard and the area outside the fence. We've been getting rain about every-other day, so it is easier to split up the areas to let the grass dry out. Time alone - reading, might spend extra time with one or more of the dogs with training, extra grooming. I usually have a running list of small tasks to do "when I have time". I might look for new recipes to try. With summer coming, there are often things I can do in the garden & yard. And pretty much always some sort of craft project I can work on. I've got a crochet project (scarf) going, I have a table area in spare bedroom that is set up for papercrafting, I like to try different hobbies - I've been trying origami recently.

I usually spend my alone time reading or doing other little cleaning/organizing projects in between times. I live alone so I have lots of alone time every week. It just depends on what I decide to put the emphasis on each day.
I don't really have any hobbies any more, but I do dabble occasionally into the ones used to have. I still make soap for my own use, and Roger insists that my lotion works better than any he can buy. So I make lotion for him and my own us, and soap for the both of us. I used to make lots of soap and bath products, and even created a business with them and sell them at craft shows. There were local people that would organize different craft shows in town, but most of them quit doing that as they got older and retired so there aren't any local ones any more.
I used to do cross stitching too, but haven't done that for a long time. I also used to sew clothes for myself and the kids, but I haven't done much of that any more either. I guess now I just do whatever I feel like doing.

I have actually spent very little time actually alone in my life. I married at 18 & had a baby 11 mos later, so I was really never alone. I had 3 kids spaced 14 yrs apart, so that took care of my having any alone time. I worked various jobs when I was young & then ended up spending over 30 years manning a busy window at various post offices. DH had to retire (for physical reasons) before I did, so he was already at home every day before I was. Once I retired, my time has been filled mostly by caring for family members. My DGS lived with us for the first 9mos of his life, because his sister was in the hospital & their parents had to spend time with her. Then, we also took care of him while his parents worked. Even after he went to school, we picked him up every afternoon & kept him until his parents got home. That was a true labor of love. My mom came to live with us the last 4 years of her life (the last 3 years, she couldn't walk at all) so I cared for her. After she passed away, wasn't too long until the pandemic came along & now DH has been sick for the last 2 years. If I ever did have any time to myself, I think I would spend time reading & maybe listening to some music that I have never had the chance to listen to. I always wanted to learn to arrange flowers, that might be something that I would do, maybe take a few college courses. Don't really know for sure what I would do.

Attended a celebration. Did fine with dinner (paid very close attention to each item on the buffet line and took very reasonable portions of only the things I really wanted, like salmon but not also chicken, steamed veggies and small helpings of two kinds of green salad, with the smallest possible amount of Caesar dressing for the Caesar salad). Did less well at the dessert table: small piece of cheesecake (it was prepared in a square or rectangular pan, so the "slices" were squares and I chose a smaller option rather than the largest square on the platter) plus an éclair (they were all relatively small, so I didn't measure one against another) and split a Napoleon with DH (and didn't eat all the layers). Haven't weighed myself yet today, but am planning on no indulgences today (we'll see whether and how that plays out as the day wears on). Teaching Sunday school (I'm the carpool drive) today, so that may make things a little easier.
What do I do when I have free time? (My first reaction is, "what free time?") I suspect I browse recipes online and copy zillions of them into my recipe files...
