This week I take credit for making an extra effort to track every day, weigh and measure, bring the right foods home and keep the trigger foods out of the house, and keep up with my online support groups. I am grateful for all of my online friends.

Credit for tracking, eating healthfully, and eating per hunger, satiation/dealing with cravings for some times during the week. Credit for exercising 2/7 days.

Monday, 05/06 How has your weight management journey impacted your aging, or how has your aging impacted your weight management journey?

Losing weight helped my aging. It has kept me from getting type 2 diabetes and higher blood pressure and higher blood fats. It also has made it easier to move around and sit comfortably. As I age though I'm backing off on following the plan as well as I had been. Don't have the same amount of fire I had in the beginning 18 years ago.

I don't know if losing weight has impacted my aging. I have relatively newly noted health issues that I didn't have when I was heavier. I've exercised for many years regardless of my weight. So I can't really say what the impact is.
On the other hand, with age, my life circumstances have changed. I'm no longer raising children, and I'm no longer caring for aging and sick parents, so I have more time and energy to devote to managing my weight.

Again, I'm focusing on tracking and also working on tracking honestly. Still am not doing it during the day but waiting until later in the evening. Also, I will keep weighing and measuring, bring the right foods into the house and not bring home trigger food, and I will keep up with my online support groups. My me-time is my computer and reading time.

My plan for the week is to track, to eat healthfully per hunger/satiation/dealing with cravings. I'll exercise as much as I can.

Whatโs the hardest for you in maintaining your weight?

There are a few things that are hard. One thing that is hard for me is not having any food imagination, so I end up eating the same food over and over. Another thing that is hard for me is when I lose some of my fire and it is harder for me to stay on plan. Also, my husband can be a food pusher and that can be tiring. All of these things if I get my act together, I can work on.

What's hard - I enjoy food and eat for emotional reasons - whether positive or negative. bbbearsmom, in some ways I wish I felt more satisfied by eating the same things every day than I do. I think that it would make things easier for me. Interesting that we've come to opposite conclusions about this.

Thursday, 05/09 Do you eat fast food? If you do, which chains do you patronize?

I do not eat fast food on a regular basis but when we travel, we'll do fast food. We'll go to what is available and I'll usually get some version of a grilled chicken sandwich. We used to go to soccer games in Jersey and we would get Popeye's chicken across the street from our hotel after the game.

I eat at Chipotle or Panera a few times a year. That's about it.
