End of Challenge, May 31:
Good morning all. Feeling a bit more settled today. See how it holds up. It's beautiful and sunny this morning so I will get out for some walking, yard work and whatever other chores show up on the list. I'm determined to finish my puzzle so I can clear off the table while we're gone. I have 3 bags that need to get dropped off at the thrift store tomorrow and hoping I can find some more things to add to them. My bananas are getting really ripe! and may have to make my BBread today instead of waiting until Tuesday. Wanted it just in time for travel, not more temptation around the house! I also have some Toll house cookie dough in the fridge to bake up, but that's like 8 more cookies and they can come along for the ride. I feel better bringing some treats with me that perusing the offerings at the gas stations, at least I know what I'm getting. Thinking through things like will I be able to journal and have my quiet time in the mornings, or will we need to get going. Should I make a pot of coffee in the evening and put it in the thermos so I don't have to mess with it in the morning and I can sit and enjoy it right away? If I wait to journal at night will that be a good way to unwind and have a routine to fend off any thoughts of the wine witch? So many thoughts, and really it will just be whatever happens to work out the best
My one goal today is to take a practice ride on my bike. I currently don't have a helmet and will need to decide if that's something I feel I need right now. Maybe I can check out Play it Again sports and see if they have anything. Thinking tonight I may just let DH have Nachos for Cinco de Mayo and I can eat LO of something else. Don't need to cook anything with what's left in the fridge. Maybe I could make a taco salad. It's almost 8 so I better get off the couch and get moving. Will check in later. Jan
Amy Hope the flight wasn't delayed any longer and you are on your way. Is Cory picking you up at the airport? Love all your pictures on FB. Do you think you'd get them all made into some kind of scrapbook, like with Shutterfly or one of those? I want to do a road trip book at some point, that's why I wanted a new camera card so everything would be together, and then I'll have to sort thought anything I take on my phone. I'm thinking you won't be going to Yoga tomorrow
Hope you can relax a few days, get back to your routine, work in your garden. I bet everything is growing like crazy. I'm "sad" as our lilacs are just going to bloom and we will mostly miss them. I may cut a few branches today to try to force and maybe we will have to have a bouquet in the car. ha ha
Cathy Hope you can figure out some kind of trip. yay for talking to family, I'll probably be calling my sis today to check in. Hopefully she's starting to feel better about this whole car issue and her DH has stopped being an A**^.
Cindy GL with the MRI. Sorry about the messed up sleep, guess Ainsley in just trying to comfort. Has it started heating up down there? We just keep seeing all the flooding and crazy weather. Stay safe.
Carole Do you wear a bike helmet all the time? Countdown to end of school, yay. How is your challenge going?
Murphy Miss you, check in soon.
GG We can cook in the van but will mostly use our camp stove out on a picnic table, unless the weather is really bad. Just more space and less mess. There is also a microwave and a small TV but not sure what we can watch. When we used it before we still had Spectrum Cable and could log in to our account. Now we share you tube with DS but the TV just goes there and we don't have his password etc if it asks for it from another place. May be a blessing to not be able to see anything:) Sure DH will tune in to NPR or some news radio often enough. Enjoy playing bells and the special music this morning.
Liz Hope you're feeling better each day. What are your plans for the week?
Waving hi
