I slept later than usual this morning (it's almost time to go shower, dress, make and eat breakfast, and leave the house for morning services), so I'll BBL to give you today's worth of jokes and trivia questions and interesting quotes and facts. For now, here's today's article about taking a nap.

I do nap sometimes, but I don't usually give it a lot of thought about how long or when.
Usually the amount of time I nap depends on what else is going on - if I'm tired and feel like I could nap, but have something else scheduled later, that might limit the time available to nap. When I was working and started work at a very early time, I'd nap after work in order to be able to go places or do things in the evenings.
Sometimes, I'm not sure if I'm tired or just need a break, I'll change what I'm doing, go outside, walk around a bit, etc
And have not noticed naps affecting my sleep at night.

I love naps! When I was working, for many years, I worked a split shift. I had a 3 hr break in the middle of the day. I would come home (only worked 10 min away), get a few things done in the house & take a nap. I would usually only lie down for about 30 min, but it would completely refresh me for the rest of the day.
I am a terrible sleeper, so I can't tell that naps make any difference in my night sleeping. In fact, an afternoon nap, seems to refresh me more than tossing & turning for an entire night does.

I don't nap often BUT when I do it is because my body really needs a bit of downtime.
