I probably multi-task when eating about half the time. The computer is a distraction for me.
I do follow some of these: I do think about my hunger, because most days I can eat when I want to, not on a set schedule. Pretty good at eating slowly. That's one that I had to work at. Good at portion sizes.

My go-to has always been to measure out portions/points/exchanges and stop when they are gone. The problem is that with the newer zero-point foods it is easier to overdo and eat more calories than will allow weight loss SO am thinking that learning to listen to hunger-satiety signals might be a good idea...if they still work for me

I generally do enjoy every bite, although I don't set the table or make a conscious effort to slow down (I was never a "rush rush" eater) and I weigh and measure almost everything I eat.
Thanks for the Mayo Clinic article, Judy! For the most part, I do listen to my body, so I assess not only my hunger but also my satiety levels. And sometimes I don't have time to "make time" for meals; for instance, I sometimes eat in the car on my way somewhere, and dinner more often than not is in front of the TV, although I split my concentration between what I'm watching and what I'm eating. As already mentioned, I weigh / measure what goes onto my plate before eating. I don't necessarily use all my senses, in that I do not consciously have many colors (I do avoid having everything one color, even when there are shades of that color). My food smells good, tastes good, is an appropriate temperature for whatever it is I'm eating, and if I don't like the texture in my mouth, I do something to change it... I freely admit to this though: I don't consider in advance what my food is going to sound like... (Does anyone?)

I usually eat in front of the tv when home and am on my IPAD when eating at work. But I do portion out my food. Love to use dinner leftovers for work lunches.
Yesterday I had lunch out with friends and then stopped at other friend's house to pick cherry tomatoes and didn't eat dinner last evening because we had been snacking on the tomatoes as we picked. In the past I might have eaten dinner anyway but am figuring out about eating when hungry not because the clock says to eat.

Cathy, been reading about the events in Lebanon in the news. Stay safe.
As a kid before we moved to the country, we were outside all the time. After we moved (when I was in 8th grade) we probably spent even more time outside as we had horses and property to play on.

Holly, hope the paving was all finished and you can use your car again. jan, Thank you for thinking of me. Yes, I was able to park DH's car yesterday in our regular spot (next to our garage) and drove my own car this morning. What a relief not to have to go searching for a place to park!

I have said many times before, I am a volume eater!! I don't snack a lot, but I can eat large portions when given the chance. As I have said before, I don't like weighing & measuring my portion, it makes me feel like I am being punished for something. Guess it goes back to my being a fat child & everyone watching what I ate all the time. At family gatherings, etc. people would always watch what I had on my plate. I was the only heavy person in my entire family, even extended family, so they didn't know what to make of it. My size was always a topic of conversation at every event. Not only was I the heaviest woman in my family, I was also the tallest. I am only 5'6", but they were all 5'0". I was the same height as my father, who only weighed 125 lbs soaking wet. I also wore the same size shoes as him.
Portion control is one of the most difficult parts of my WW journey. Yes, I am a very sick old woman.
