Morning All!
Sounds like everyone is enjoying the start of fall. I, for one will be happy to see the cooler temps.
Penny your spa day, sounds wonderful, even though I can’t stand anyone touching my feet. But the laughs well that’s priceless. Did you say she is 87 years old? That’s a bit humbling, for sure….
Am a bit bored, so I guess that is progress for me. I’m managing the pain and discomfort pretty well. Truthfully the hardest part of this whole thing is sleeping. The recliner remains my nemesis, but I know it is only temporary, so I’m dealing…. I have fantasies about dragging the chair out to the back yard and setting it on fire….
I spent most of yesterday updating my new credit card info for auto payments. Everything is more frustrating when you are doing things one handed. I’ve still got one left and that one ill have to make a phone call.
I have a ShopRite delivery coming at noon, so I have to get dressed decently – another challenge.
Wising all a pleasant day!

Remember the house wife dusters! My Mom made quite a few of them for herself. She used to say just for bumming around the house!! I have a couple for summer and no I did not make them. Found them on WW catalog and they are pretty awesome when just in mood to slip something cool and comfy on. Getting past that time of year pretty quickly. We are to be in 70's all week and cooler at night. so now it is the fleece bathrobe. a red one or the purple one. Long, zip up and long sleeves. Wash like a dream. love having my coffee on back deck on cooler mornings in my bathrobe. Kind of feels decadent. Not having to be any where in early morning. And never get company that time of day. Guess My friends and family all know me.
I have moved the big rocking horse off the carpet as the it needs swept and no the horse is not heavy just BIG!!! Emma will want to be in basement with "her" a lot when she stays over night on Thursday night and into Friday evening. Also put the dehumidifier back in corner. don't need it anymore with furnace coming on early in the mornings. Getting some laundry done. the small bathroom rugs and some dark clothes. yep have gotten into some jean capris lately. Not yesterday with the temps in 90's. too warm for jeans.
I have some flowers that have just taken off like crazy, better than all summer. The wave petunias are really beautiful and those you do not have to dead head. thank goodness. My impatiens in the pot out front is doing Okay. A few flowers out on it. and does look better than the ones around the mail box but lot of buds on those. seem to like this weather better and the rain is helping also. My purple rose bush is 2 times as big as it was and is full of buds and flowers everywhere. I am loving it. Was afraid it was dying on me. Rain also helped I am sure.
Dayle, sounds like you are doing well. I am sure there are things that really bug you about the recovery but you always seem so upbeat and handling things just great. Hope each day gets easier and less pain !! Wish we could all pop in and do something to help out. And hope just the thought helps you!!!

Dayle, sounds like you're doing pretty well. Really can't imagine doing things with only my left hand but guess you have conquered that. I like my recliner and it's my go to place when I can't sleep. Seeing my doc on Wednesday to see if there's something I can take besides Tylenol for the muscle and joint pain. I know some is from the neuropathy and probably some from the back problem but Tylenol just doesn't do it. Because of the kidney and liver problems with taking Ibuprofen he's never wanted me to take that.
I'm starting to walk further so that's a plus.
Determined to finish my sewing room today. Going to start by moving my books out of my closet to the bookshelf and then vacuum and I'll be done. Yeah...
Penny. your pedicure sounds amazing. I'd have to pay over $100 for that kind of tx. A regular pedicure here is $60. Above my current budget. Can't imagine an 80+ year old woman doing that. Has to have a strong back and strong arms/hands to sit that long.
I like the cooler temps. Only 46 when I got up this morning but warming up nicely now. Sunny and a light breeze. Have to get the patio swept again and the front sidewalk.

Penny are you heading to GA?
“A hurricane, which will be named Helene, is expected to form and rapidly intensify this week in the Gulf of Mexico before hitting Florida on Thursday or early Friday. Over the weekend, risks increased of a major hurricane landfall in the state — with the greatest likelihood of direct impacts currently in Florida’s Big Bend and Panhandle areas. Want to know how your actions can help make a difference for our planet? Sign up for the Climate Coach newsletter, in your inbox every Tuesday and Thursday.
The system is currently located east of the Yucatán Peninsula in the northwestern Caribbean and is moving over extremely warm waters. It’s expected to develop into a named storm by Tuesday afternoon before entering the Gulf of Mexico early Wednesday. In addition to inhabitants of the Big Bend and Panhandle areas, residents from Fort Myers, Fla., to Gulfport and Biloxi in Mississippi should remain on alert. There is a chance the storm may trend east of model guidance and bring severe winds and storm surge to Tampa.”

Good morning everyone
Dayle- great to hear from you. Glad everything is going in the right direction.
Connie- sometimes I wish I had one of those dusters. They seem comfortable.
Betty- all my doctors also tell me to not take Advil or other Ibuprofen like that. So bad for seniors on kidneys and liver. I wish Tylenol helped you.
Penny- I pray no hurricane damage over there.
Lin- so happy your last PT appointment is today. Congratulations.
Having a very relaxing morning. I have physical therapy appointment later today.

.Nobody called. The Friday morning call was to be answered 1-2 days…well it is 2 and nothing. I called around 11 and got a different person,s machine to schedule same dr. This one says one day. I feel like a hostage. I hope they did not call cell phone because I never hear it two rooms away or am at an appt or in the car. Hope the did not text the land line . Cannot see why they would text.
PT went well. I realized I do more and faster than anyone else because I am not slowly working with lot of pain and resting. So I now have a chart of what to do every day and what to do three times a week to keep building strength and not lose range of motion.
went to Safeway for stuff I cannot get at Sprouts. Got ten % off because I was able to get an immediate flu shot with no appointment.
resting with reading while laundry does its thing. But now have migraine aura, so not reading. Doing this looking through the glittering jagged oval. Phooey.

Lin, can't imagine why you would even try to post with a migraine. Sure can't make the symptoms any better. I have read that staring at a computer with just a regular headache is probably the worst thing. Feel sorry for people who work at a computer all day. About 15 min is my limit.

Dayle, good to see you post! Sounds like you’re handling the surgery great. I figured you would.
Not sure what the storm is going to do yet. I have my Ventusky weather app, which is pretty accurate.
I remember house coats. Same thing, I’m sure. My Mom wore them.
Connie, love your impatiens, so pretty.
Time for quiet time, Good Night, Ladies. 😴🌙
