Z, Great job getting something done!!! It seems like I spend the entire day doing lots but when I get done I have about two sentences worth of stuff to chat about. I could so relate to the key situation. Today I had to go to town for an appointment which took up the afternoon. I feel like a driving maniac sometimes since there is a lot of high speed driving in my life. Just chatting....
Also finished picking up and putting items back in place from the fencing project, got the rest of my watering done in La Mesa Grande and spiffied up Apple Pan Dowdy plus watering. Then I got trapped on the internet trying to figure out what signs to buy for the gates and fencing. All I have had for years is a sign that says "Dog hiding in yard..." which really is insufficient. So I ended up with No Trespassing signs in English and Spanish and also ones that say "Warning Beware of Dog" Not responsible for injury or death (Yikes) also in two languages with a nasty looking dog face, teeth bared. So friendly.Of course then I googled how many signs legally I needed on the fencing that goes around the entire property and found Nevada's rules which of course were incomprendable. Something about having to be able to see the next sign which is impossible because their are bushes that overhang the fence that goes around the acreage. Well I finally figured out if I put signs on all the gates on the fence around the house possibly this would help. All of this made me kind of crazy. And when I start attempting to discuss the need to have all of these signs with DH things will go from bad to worse. However I do need to do something extremely proactive since Sam terrorized one of the fencing guys by the way he was carrying on. And also the safety we have had for so many years has been changed by today's criminal lifestyles. The dog signs are a huge deterrent to all of that. Well, probably way more than you want to read (Obviously).
Month end results: 2,730 days of daily weighing, maintaining 18.4WL. Hooray!!! My walking numbers fell off due to being sick but are back up there again. 12,064 today even though I was trapped in the car for hours today. I really had fun singing along to the tunes. For some reason instead of becoming a brain surgeon I decided to memorize the lyrics to a stagering number of songs.
Next I am going to tackle the squirrel relocation and touch up painting but also must not let the office work languish. Life goes on....
Hope you are having a relaxing evening!!!

Good Morning,
The time you spent figuring out the signage and placement will have been worthwhile in many respects! Especially deterring tresspassing and potential criminal type wanderings. Good Work, though it did sound challenging too! Love the update on your weight loss and maintenance consistency as usual! I'm still on the Mattell YoYo plan apparently.
I did have a relaxing evening and I'm having a ball today....so far! I feel energized that I'm just home with no upcoming events, guests, travel!
Crochet: -I made 6 total sets of 2 (so that's 12 total coasters) coasters to sell as car coasters. I used the puff stitch pattern I like for the cotton yarn. Typically this is pattern where you do two sides then stitch them together. But I just left as single sided and really took the time wo weave in the ends on the back (I just do this whatever way I want) and then snip them off so they don't show. So one side does typicallyl look "better" than the other, but both sides are cute, just different looking, so techinically they are reversible, either side can be up and it's fine! SO I talk about this in listing info and show photos of both of sides. My listing photos are different than other sellers, and my stitch pattern is different. Is it the best, is mine the best crochet job? Probably not, but they are low priced, cute, different looking cause I use different pattern and colors of yarn from other people. Then this morning I thought it would be cute to cut up brown paper lunch back, stamp it, and tape around both coasters in set and have a listing photo of that. Now, I call them "rustically wrapped" cause I didn't really take a lot of time to do that "perfectly" But they make a cute, rustic presentation that way. So I got those up and listed with the new additional photos and we'll just have to see if any of them sell or not, but they are cute!
Needlepoint: This morning I located photos of my friends and sisters stitched sample projects including some of the finishing steps, a painted canvas and a couple pics of my cat..."Falling Leaves", with fabric and a cord next to it and sent these photos to DD and asked her to please put the "still photos" into a 14-15 second video for me so they cycle through. There's no way I can have a video obviously of like nearly 200 things as most of them nobody's even bought or stitched yet. But I think this video will be a good thing to show as it will show the cute factor of small sampling of things/ideas stitched thing, with fabrics, cords, finishing steps, because videos do help sell things. And yes, I will have to upload that almost 200 times...lol. I'm not sure...but I'm pretty sure no other pattern sellers, or many anyway, have a video of anything with their listings.
Cording: I've unravled a new skein of floss and will wind it to make cording again using the electric drill so I can send it to my friend who is going to finish the "English Robin" my older sister stitched for me. Thankfully this time I did not tangle it. Yes, untangled a whole skein of this type previously, not fun. but I did dit!
Week of Wood: This week I am having the theme called "The Week of Wood". This is where I do something with the all of the wood pieces DH cut for me previously that are still around here untouched. I have about 4 pieces of 9" square, that I can either paint or do decoupauge quilt layouts on and I have 8 gnomes to work on. Step one is wearing a mask, taking out on lower deck and sanding down all the super sharp corners/angles. I can ponder what to do with them while I get through that process.
Paint by Numbers: My mom does paint by numbers and she does a GREAT job mind you. I have two paintings I put in ready frames that are hanging different places in the house right now. She did a custom order one for a sister. She like rustic, floral and still life. SHe started doing this during covid though she's pretty artistic anyway. So....last night, this morning, I found a still life from a museum photo from our travels that an artist did of wood painted shutter as like a billboard, except olden days, for the shuttters of a mercantile. I cropped down to one portion, did the steps to get to proper format and submitted a custom order from that company to ship to my mom to paint. She will love doing it and I will love having it! I don't like what's currently hanging in our kitchen near the dining table and this is going to be cute, cute, cute! I did of course ask mom first if she's thought she might enjoy painting it, showed it to her, and she said yes. SO this is fun and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it comes out!
Home: Laundry is rebooted x2, I've watered the neighbors plants and mine own, cleared counters this morning. Now I will make the cording so I can mail it to my friend as well as mail an order today. Oh, I did get the bed made downstairs adn the guest room looks pretty good! Thinkgs are happening!
Z. Friday AM: I'm setting my timer to reclaim teh MB closet which suffered from a shoe search related to wedding, putting laundry away, making bed, etc. Last night, I got a Christmas Lights needlepoint pattern done and I'm happy with how it came out, it's different than other options out there, of which there are many. Then this morning I tweaked it again, changed the border slightly and made the bulb connections fatter. But I kept them both in shop.
Hope your day is off to a good start.

Z, You got so much creatives done!!! I have been trying to get the raking done and managed to spend two days working diligently in the mornings and then an extreme wind storm happened today causing a huge quantity of needles to be dropped so I ended up at square one and will have to start again tomorrow. There are a lot! of pine needles on the ground now. Declutter Wednesday was very successful since I was able to get all of the old stakes and some round cylinders that went over them in the trash. Also spent the afternoons in town both days, Took Clair to PT yesterday. Today I went to HD and then got my flu and covid shots. Kept the house picked up and did my mini home blessings both days. Those were the highlights....
Hope you are having a relaxing evening!!!

Good morning,
Yikes on the wind and sorry for the extra work it caused. Great work on the CB Wednesday!
Home: MB is 100% reclaimed now, all laundry run, put away, I cleaned up the floor of the closet where much got strewn during a shoe search, things put back on shelving appropriately. Also while doing I purged about 10 items of clothing that will never fit me again from drawers and loved the space this made. I also bagged three unecessary pillows from living room area, I'm not sure why these old ones were still out, but it was too many pillows and put them in the garage. MB hasn't looked this good in a year! No tripping hazards!
Shopping: I did a thing. My GF (she is the designer, OCD one that helped me redo my living room space last winter) She was showing me pics of a bathroom she's working on in her house. I'm amazed there is anything left to work on in her home! ANyway, she was showing me these very cute area rugs discounted from Potterybarn, they area like a large flower, vine pattern, she is using in hers and these towels. SHe suggested I get them as well, that they'd go well in a couple of bathrooms here. She was also getting new towels to go with them etc. Recently having had several house guests, wondering where my "good" towels were etc. I thought I'd look at that situation, so I have two of those rugs coming and several sets of towels that should match our MB bath color scheme as well as downstairs and go with the colors in the two rugs ordered. One of these bathrooms I've hung 3 antique "Women's Home Companion" magazine cover prints from my great grandparents subscriptions from 1929 - 1933, In those three years, among the stack of these clipped covers I found three floral illustrations by the same illustrator which are hanging in one for the bathrooms along with one my pointillism things, and these towels and rugs are going to really brighten up that bathroom! The second rug, well, it will fit in one of the two other bathrooms and as the towels match, it should make all this look a bit improved. Everything was on sale also, so I'm excited for them to come. On this note, my GF told me that when she was helping clean up her MIL house to sell, the realtor asked if she would come work for her as a stager! She really does have great taste.
I've done two grocery shops this week and am having cousing and his GF for dinner tonight.
Creative, I did remove the backing and got this picture out of a little frame I'm reworking, just have do decide on the picture to do. ANd I will be doing some sanding inbetween cooking things today.

Z, Congrats on the reclaiming!!! Also so much fun to read about your decorating! Saturday - Raked and then raked some more. I actually got bored which is something that very rarely happens to me. The rest of the day is kind of a blur. Sunday - I raked some more. This time I did 1/2 of La Mariposa. Yesterday I got about 80% of La Fiesta done and then scurried to rake the grass to keep DH from using the lawnmower to mulch the pine needles. Then I started doing a bunch of miscellaneous things such as removing two stakes from the ground an putting them in the pile. Did my monthly chores. Got a number of items completed so that next week can run smoothly. Put my tool caddies back together and attached them to the fencing in La Mariposa and La Fiesta. I also have one in the garage. These each contain: One large light weight rake used for the raking. These are so light weight and efficient that I can rake for long periods. One small hand rake. A hoe--best used for moving dirt because this dirt is like sand so it's easily movable A hula hoe which is not needed but used to be until I got smart and started removing all weeds etc before they go to seed--now I have less than 2% as many weeds as I used to have and they were extremely plentiful in VERY large areas. A large dust pan A small hoe Next to these caddies I have small tubs containing my contractor bags (that I recycle) and my kneelers The one in the garage has other items such as a shovel and a different type of rake that I use for cleaning up debris from the fire mitigation work. Now possibly this seems like an overkill. However, I don't need to continiously gather up a bunch of items to get my basic work done. Usually I will drive over to La Fiesta from La Mariposa because this is where I keep my little ATV that I use for many purposes such as hauling items over to the hole. Or driving around for a bit when I get done with my chores. I like this functional fitness work as I cannot tolerate the gym or having a personal trainer which I had for long periods in days gone by. Not that i didn't like them but I just would rather have something to show for exercise and also would not wear those tight clothes. Just chatting....
Tomorrow I have an appointment in town and and am hoping to get some office admin work done.
Hope you are having a wonderful evening!!!

Good Afternoon,
The yard work tool caddies do not sound like overkill, it sound very smart! Hauling those long handle tools around is kind of a pain and sometimes a little dangerous. It seems this is where my mind goes now after my recent falls, but also thinking other instances of near damage etc. while trying to carry too much. Great effort on your areas!
Creative: Well...I'm spinning somewhat right now because I've been busy in multiple areas. Firstly, I coooked literally all day on Sunday and that dinner was very much enjoyed by all! So nothing got done that day.
Monday: I made more, yes more, needlepoint patterns. I have a pop music one I won't explain, and 4 more I cranked out today. This combined with my two Christmas scenes involving a tree, classic coloration and vintage, and two Christmas light ornaments also.
CHristmas Present Pattern: The four I did today after getting the first layout done is not complicated, but it's pretty cute, I love it. It used colors I seriously like a lot, kraft paper brown, red and black. I did my "gifts" slightly different than others do because IMO mine are more like what they actually look like. I undersdand why people add the horizontal ribbon across the side of the gift in a pattern, but really that's not how it "is". When you're looking at it, you see only one side, one ribbon, so that's how I did it. Thanks for listening. Part of the reasone for more patterns is this. Christmas Trees....I didn't really have one, now I do. Christmas lights, I didn't have one of those either, now I do. Presents and simple patterns: I'd been seeing a lot of patterns with a pretty basic repeating images and people seem to want to do those, so I thought I'd do with the presents, no tree, because I honestly, I cant seem to figure out how to to both well, or better than what I see already. So I did these and I love them. Will be interesting to see if they get hits because with fabric and the decorative cords, etc. they'd be adorable.
Donations/Marketing: Someone in neighborhood put a call out for donations for local school district silent Auction. I might put together a few ensembles of things really just to get them out of the house. But I'll include my card and make them "good" things in hopes it generates local interest in my wares. I'm thinking a "Palouse" theme featuring my Palouse landscape cards, Trucks of Palouse art photography and maybe a couple car coasters. The other could be a pointillsm based thing, I have one picture I don't want to keep moving around and could combine that with cards and maybe a mug. This might be all I do, I'm not sure, still pondering.
Home: Today DH helped me get the hose, I got the window washing stuff out and actually washed all our big picture windows upstairs and down and one lower bedroom window. Handwash stuff done.
Crochet: I located some "lost" yarn when I cleaned the MB that I got specifically to try making this one ornament. I need to get it to completed state, I'm not sure, but I think I hate it and hate doing it! It's smaller than I thought, and it's a lot of work though the pics were darling. I'll be able to tell better once I get one finished. But the size I think is too small and and I'd have to several and sell them as a set of 6 or something. The yarn color is cute. We'll see.
I've cut some matt board for my stitched ornament to start steps on that and brought up paper to try sketches of ideas on the frame I'd bought to rework to put the stuff inside. So I'll mess with these three things the rest of the day probably. I've not started standing yet, but I did hose off the lower patio while doing the windows so it will be better when I go outside to do that. Propbably tomorrow.
Z.
Wednesday:
Needlepoint Finishing: I'm through several of the steps for this process for my "Falling Leaves" pattern and am at what is probably the most difficult juncture whish is sewing the two parts together as well as sewing the cording on. I'm not sure if these are two separate steps or get done at the same time, I need to rewatch the video, but I have my ball pins at the ready and will proceed! On this point, my sibling said she'd never seen this pattern. It's been done for a couple of months now and up in my shop which leads me to thank you, dear friends, for always taking the time to look at what I'm doing, frequenting my shop, even if it's stuff you have no intention, interest in ever purchasing! I'm excited for this final step. Here's my UK competition lingo, "I'm pushing the boat out on this one, it's early days though, fingers crossed it doesn't go pear shaped and get all knackered up!" ...lol.
CB: I did give some shorts, that were brand new, never worn, to cousin's girlfriend to see if they might work for her, even if just for summer work shorts. THe remaining items I have stacked to load to the car.
Hope your day is off to a good start!

Good Thursday Morning,
Ornament Finishing: Yesterday I did complete the needlepoint finishing of my ornament. It's many steps, I had to take a break because I needed to phone my friend for assistance prior to stitching together and adding cord. I'd have to say that stitching with the invisible quilting thread is necessary, but horrid to work with. I give myself an 8.5 out of 10 for end result! I'd say that part of the fun is picking the fabric for the backs of these things, and the cording, so while the actual finishing is a somewhat of a pain it's a big cost savings. The materials, matt board rounds, batting pieces, embroidery floss and a small square of fabric, is less than $5.00 for the materials and you pay finishers charge $45-$50.00 do these. I have other thoughts on some of this, but will share in the new year.
Home: I did get some stuff made with some ingredients I bought for homemade egg white bites. These came out pretty well and I froze most to have for breakfasts here in the morning to microwave.
Scale: It is chinking down again in right direction.
Today: I will put away sewing things. I cannot bring myself to want to try to crochet another one of those baubles. Today I will work on the sanding for reals and see what to get started on for the wood. I'm still within my "Week of Wood" parameters so we'll see what I can get going on.
Hope you're doing well.

Z, Great job getting so many creative items worked on!!! New items on Etsy are fantastic! Also glad the scale is cooperating. I have been trying to find a direct flight that will get me off Planet Zog and back to Earth so that I can get back on the Production Wagon. I do seem to be getting slightly more things done as the days wift by. This is one reason I try really hard to get my chores done consistently since in my rear view mirror are some times where not much got done for long periods. Clair and I have an Amazon event tonight. So far today I managed to start the fall raking again and am doing my watering chores. Bought some clothes for Paws since I am supposed to be wearing these logo tops etc. I can use my own red tops but need to put Paws patches on them. I just put in an order for two patches since I am not a huge fan of the fabric that the Paws clothes are made out of and also don't like to wear short sleeves, 2/3rds are fine. I bought a couple of jacket type items. Mostly I ignore the "rule" about wearing uniform clothes but I am doing my best to fit in regarding this matter. They will accept just a red top without the logo, glad of that because that's what I have worn for the last three years. However, Clair loves the red, black and white color combo and has a very cute outfit she wears that includes a red harness with Paws patch, matching leash, stunning red/black/white beaded collar, matching bow, red heart earrings. Tonight she will also wear her Amazon employee badge that includes her picture, her login which is "Doggo" and her name because she is an official Amazonian!
Back to the chore grind, I need to get Clair brushed so that she doesn't not shed all over everyone.
Hope you are having a pleasant evening!!!

Good Morning,
I hope the event went well! Are you allowed to wear something long sleeved under the logo shirt? I'm very much a layer it up person, if that's allowed, it's what I would do. Clair probably knows full well she's in for fun and lots of pets when you start putting her outfits on her! Don't be too hard on yourself, you have a job, a home, three dogs, part-time commitments etc, you get a lot done in day/week. It's okay if every day isn't "stellar".
Home Accessorizing: My order came from Potterybarn. The bathroom rugs are ADORABLE and fit perfectly in front of all vanities. HOwever, the upstairs guest bath is not large, it's a bit narrow and this is the one my mom uses. 1. I'm worried about the raised edge and it being a tripping hazard. 2. It's a narrow floor area and looks a bit cluttered with rug added. I'm glad I ordered two, will use both downstairs and am super happy with them, I can always grab one and try it upstairs sporadically when we have "upstairs" guests only. They were also on sale. The towels is another matter, despite having called customer service, twice, to verify the item description as to what was included, I got exactly what I didn't want, and they were not a three piece set (as some wording and pictures indicated) So this morning I need to cancel the rest of this order that's not shipped yet, and get return label for what had. I already ordered the correct thing for what is needed and will also visit Fred Meyer today as I believe they always carry what I currently have in the master bathroom as I need a couple more of those. Will see.
I had to do a Costco run and a run to Staples to get some new soda stream cannisters DH and I use for seltzer water. This has saved us a lot on not buying Seltzer or soda when it's just the two of us.
Home: Yesterday I did a major sweep jop, hand wash kitchen items and wiped down all kitchen cabinet faces. Put my sewing supplies away appropriately, I'm glad I got that sewing basket, and hung my ornament on the builtin lower knobs in family room.
This morning I will begin working on the wood things, I ended up making another needlepoint pattern, two, for a pop music/theme thing that is popular right now, which I think are funny, and a different approach than others have taken with it. It will be interesting to see if I get any takers on them, I think they're hilarious.
Hope your day is off to a good start, the scale for me has moved in a major way downward from the entertaining, wedding weekend, traveling to moms, etc...I'm so glad!

Z, The Santa Phone and Dancing ones are adorable!!!! Great job in the K. The bathroom decorating is fun to read about.
Another morning of raking combined with yesterday has yielded being caught up in La Mariposa and La Fiesta. The wind did blow substantially late today so I will have to go out and check if I need to redo those areas for the FOURTH time. I really have to stay on top of these pine needles since the wildfire danger this time of year is off the graph. This is one thing I have been relentless about but this year the wind has challenged me. Tonight I spent time getting ready for AA to come tomorrow so hopefully it will be a very productive day.
This afternoon Clair and I went to the library to do Paws 2 Read. There were a lot more kids but after the university crowds these types of situations are always easy for me. It very interesting how verbally astute these children are! Even when they cannot read yet many of them are excellent conversationalists. I seem to enjoy this more than Clair does. She is warming up to them and does show a marked interest in returning children since she remembers them. Probably the difference with Clair between the young children and the university ones is that the older students interact with the dog to a much greater degree.
That's about it for me. I think I will be fairly caught up by next Wednesday evening.
Hope you are having a relaxing evening!!!

Good Morning,
I hope the AA can make it today and you get done what you have planned and I'm glad you enjoyed the event with Clair.
Home: I washed all the bath mats. Tried touch up washing on the washing of windows using "E-Cloth" system. THis helped, was better than windex and paper towels, but I'm kind of over the whole thing. Done is better than perfect and I'm not interested in having a window cleaner come to do either the outside or the inside. THey're better than they were. Today I will go to Fred Myer to see if there are same towels so I can get the blue for the master bath in hand towel and wash cloth and then there is a thing to look for at Target so I'll do that on the way back.
Creative: Things are happening! -Sanded 10 pieces total of items, two larger triangles for gnomes, three 2"x6" in squares which are about 5"x5" square, 5 small triangles of scrap wood for trees also of the chunkier 2x6 wood and one 9"x9" square, which is a much harder type of wood than the 2x6. So I took a little more time with sanding of all the 2x6 stuff and slightly rounded all sharp 90 degree corners including around the bottom. So these all have a nice feel in your hands, seem a little more "finished" than just a chopped off thing. Now I'm planning and drawing out what I'll do with them. My current thinking is to paint the smaller 5x5 blocks, and make quilt blocks, much like I did the 3.5"3.5" type of ornmaents last year, except, different patterns. Larger triangles will be gnomes and the smaller ones trees, and I'm probably going to do a scrapbooking paper star quilt pattern with the 9"x9" piece. ALso I sketched out a plan for the reworked frame piece and need to see how that goes. I need to not overthink these things. I think I know what to do and they will be cute, I just need to start doing them.
**side note...a lot of the wood pieces I chucked back in the box because they are really too problematic in different ways to spend time on. So I'm happy with what chose to work on plus it's manageable.
DH and I will hang some artwork I moved to downstairs, and today I will plan on cleaning all guest bathrooms, tubs, vanities, toilets and floors. The new towels will be arriving this week!
Hope your Day is off to a good start!
Z.
I'm on a roll! -emptied a pretty large bag of trash from downstairs living area of craft garbage, removed largish COstco box the appropriate sized brown cloth covered tote was setting in, turned that sideways so it sets further back, flush with the console table in the back corner, is no longer an eyesore. I will put a dark contractor bag in it for trash and tuck it all down so it's not obviouse. -took stack of beach towels setting in our kitchen since July and put them in empty totes DH bought in garage -Laundry rebooted x2 -painted the base and transferred my design for a folk style barn painting for the repurposed board that goes in that frame, that is ready for next steps -put away the tall, magnifying lamp into the storage area (this was very EASY because that area is VERY nicely organized right now) Because, if I'm not painting canvases, that doesn't need to be out 24/7. ALso put away the light board DH got me for CHristmas from the table so I don't ruin it with paint or other gunk -put away some basic supplies of stuff, Needelpoint bags, canvases, threads etc. appropriately -loaded a CB box of the shorts I purged recently, a couple pairs of mom's unwanted shoes, why I have these I know not, and a largish 5 box set of children's books also passed down to me, which honestly are not in that great of condition, and put this box in the car to take to donation station. -have continued to put away more things from laundry room machine tops and counterarea -cut awful mauve, fringe twine off sale wooden tags that have a curved top from Target last year and threw them away. Then I realized that I can use up the res of the scraps of paper I used on the large cathedral stained glass project and make a set of six of those, they will be cute, cute cute! So instead of putting away that paper and scraps, they are not setting with the tags ready to be applied! Yay! -I did set a couple other wooden carry things in the storage area too with some frames that I will be working on later.
So things are looking better and I'm also getting some creative projects done! I'm not sure I mentioned, DH told me we'd have three houseguests, possibly 5, for the coming weekend so this has lit a fire under me to keep on going! One guest will be here 4 nights, the other two nights, one is one night, and his BIL and another guest may be here one night as well. THings are going to be in great shape!
Z.
Oh....and I'm not sure, if you'd like to see a reel of that cathederal window, or the finishing work on my needlepoint, that can be done if you visit my FB page which is may shop name exept with a space. You don't have to "follow" me or "like" anything, you could just watch them, then you'd have better understanding of what I'm talking about and see the papers I'm gonna use on these tags.
Later Evening UPdate: -ran errands, tried bath mats upstairs guest bath, just doesn't work in there period, will return -bought a fake little lavendar sprig plant in a smallish 8 " high rustic white ceramic pot/planter for big guest bath to set on little table there -checked out the bath towels at Fred Meyer, not the same, I'm glad I ordered these others they should be here by tomorrow or Tuesday -I have three beds to to change, wash bedding, running one now -completed the little painting for the reworked oval frame I got, it is gonna be DARLING! I will photograph the painting portion tomorrow then assemble it. I will need to dress up the back of this, cause I think I'm the third person to rework it, so it will need tape and some paper to cover the carnage on the back...lol. Still it's worth it! -DH gave me clamps so I can start with wood glue for my cathedral window backing to the frame. THen he showed me some finishing nails, and he will finish with a few of those around the edge once the glue is set and that project will be complete.
Painting: I may have mentioned this before, but there is an effect I quite like, which might be a thing you learn if you actually took a craft, tole painting class....but it's when you paint a base color dark, like black on something, then you do the design , but when you go to add the colors if you just paint up to the next color but leave the thinnest part of the black it's an effect I really like. So I'm excited to try that on my new "Quit Blocks" which are an actual BLOCK of wood, and I think they're gonna be cute! Thanks for listening!

Monday:
I finished the barn painting for the repurposed frame. It came out super cute and I'm keeping it! I already hung it downstairs in the living area space.
Book Blank: I'd ordered three book blanks from seller earlier in the year. I went ahead and painted one, embellished it this morning, it came out cute and it's colors that I needed on an upper shelf. Then I found some black leather bound books in DH's hobby room book case and added three of those, these all look good and that shelf looks better.
Cathedral Frame: I got clamps from DH and have the wood glue, when I get back from making a return, I will glue and clampt that together to dry.
Quilt Block Blocks: Got the base coat paint applied to these and I'm pondering side embellishments, etc. before I get going with them. I might even do a double sided decoration thing with these, then they can be flipped, or just have the ends show etc...the thing to think about is needs to be something probably geometric on the sides so that it lay on it's side, or stand on end if just that part is what's being shown or seen from teh side...Meaning, stuff can't be upside down. Have to think on this.
Okay, I'm gonna run errand to do returns then come back, glue that window frame, make up the beds and maybe get a start on these block. I think I will have only time to do the blocks, and maybe just one before I put stuff away for reals to gready for house guests.

Z, Looking at your FB was so much fun!!! Great job getting so much done! I thought the Bear music was very clever. Today I started winterizing by getting all the chair cushions, pillows etc put away. I just spent the day doing thing after thing in the house, concentrating on the K. Got the large deck cleaning started and will finish up tomorrow. I am hoping to get some outside painting done tomorrow since Wednesday the weather is supposed to change heading for one day with a high of 48. This morning I easily found my hand warmers that I had put away charged so I could use them this a.m. for dog walking. Got my Wednesday decluttering done for this week. Hooray! DH has started piling things up in the garage so I will have to get rid of items if it continues as nothing will be stored in the basement.
Tomorrow I have to go out and put the items stacked up outside the shed inside. These are items used to create temporary fencing that I need to go through since I don't need nearly as much as I have. I can probably just put away what is actually going to be kept and start a pile of things for 1-800-GOTJUNK to come and get or I could take them to the transfer station. I have a really large item that needs to be dismantled if DH is not going to fix it as it is becoming an eye sore. It was really nice in the beginning but now..... That will take some doing with the hammer to get taken apart. Those GOTJUNK guys may take it apart for me. I'll call them and see.
I will hustle all day long tomorrow doing things outside so that I don't have to crawl around on wet ground since it is supposed to rain on Wednesday. Late in the afternoon I have an appointment and want to go by HL if possible.
Hope you are having a relaxing evening!!!
