Awe thanks for looking and commenting as always! I really appreciate it. You'd be surprised who never notices, looks, shares or comments on anything. Seriously. It's a good thing I take such joy and get such personal satisfaction in what mess around with that for the most part, I really don't care. So I think it's true statement, that I don't care, but I do notice, if that makes sense?
I hope you got the things done you wished yesterday. You get rid of an incredible amount of stuff! Let me know if they will dissasemble the item, just curious.
Home: I rand errands today and got some cleaner I was out of, a decorative jar for one downstairs bathroom.
Creative: -so I photographed the graphic little barn painting I did in the second hand frame and then edited that, did in photoshop, layered it barn wood, photo like I've done with other things, and sent it to Staples to print. I did two each test prints, one to their old printer and one to the new, lord almighty what a difference, sheesh. Came home and fixed the layout for how the printer feeds the cardstock there, went back, looks good, ordered a few sets of those on my cardstock. They area cute card. At least I think so. I'm not sure why some Western cowboy/cowgirl farmer ranch people haven't "discovered" my cards...lol! It's okay, maybe this year!
-Stained GLass Cross Theme Needle Point Pattern: I've been working on this for a day and a half. I'm finally good with how it came out and I did one alternative type on it as well. What was challenging is...I wanted it to look like antique, old world style. Getting the lines to separate the glass pieces, assigning colors, changing the shapes, moving color around, this was pretty challenging. One thing is I have to try to make straight lines but depending on the angles, you have to stair step, and then you have to try to keep the lines so they are only one stitch thick, no doubline up, no stacking happing where they meet or least keeping to a minimum, putting the colors around the thing, like what goes where, how many times to repeat the colors, when I'd change one thing, then I'd realize I'd have to change another. So where this ended is with something I quite liked the look of and so that is that. It might be some areas could be done differently, but then it effects everything else. I tried adding some white and it was just to jarring, so it's pretty much a jewel toned, two toned gold thing, but I think it works and I haven't seen anything else (yet) quite like it.
I'm on my second batch of making a two loaf zuchini bread recipe to use up a GIANT zuchini DH brought me. Also I've got more of my fabric in and I'm getting excited about making the fabric ornaments I have in mind. I cannot wait!
I did get a bed made, two more to go and we'll see what I can get done tonight.
Hope your day is going well!

Z, The saying "Art for Arts sake" came to mind. I do know what you mean. I have loved so many of the creative things I have done but it is a hard concept to grasp unless the person actually experiences what you are talking about. Busy day for me yesterday since I tried to beat the change in weather by exhausting myself LOL, kind of. I am caught up on the raking again. It has been raining off and on today which is wonderful since the dust has been incredible when I am raking. I went to town to my appointment and suffered??? the rush hour commute to get home. There is a very large freeway construction project that has basically called a halt to driving over ten miles an hour during rush hour so it is as safe as can be imagined since we kind of turtle-ing our way north. Also there is a place where we go from three lanes down to two and all the drivers are so amazingly polite about letting people in again proving that the world is not populated by nasty jerks, just saying.... It was fun driving that safe!
Today I finished up two Audits and managed to get some other office admin work done. Now I am going to race around getting my mini home blessing done. Tomorrow Clair has a PT appointment and I am going to see if she can start going every two weeks since things are staying positive lately.
In the Good Grief! quadrant--the gates were installed flush with the ground which means that when it snows trouble will occur. I called the company and they will send someone out to raise them 6 or 7 inches which will help since the ice builds up there at least four inches. I will call the contractor who can grade down there to give me some more inches however (more drama) our phone company out of Idaho does not acknowledge his phone number area so I can't call him. I will try again a few more times to see if they get that fixed and if not I will call the phone company to inquire as to what in the world is going on. It is so incredibly normal for these types of things to go on such as calling DH's cell when he is in town and getting a completely dead line. Our cell phones quit working in this area sometime last year and there is no other company that is any better. I just pretend that we are back in the days of crank up phones and party lines and remain calm and serene at all times!
Hope you are having a pleasant evening!!!

Good Morning,
Yikes on the gate installation! How on earth did they think those would open and close? I can see that with snow, there'd need to be clearing to some degree, but that sounds way to low for functionality.
Great work on the house and audits. The phone connection situation sounds challenging.
Fabric Ornaments: What my idea is is to use cute fabric alone, with the mat board, batting, and cording, like a needlepoint finishing process, except just with the fabric. It's labor intensive as it's all hand sewn. But the difference is with this process, you get to see most of the fabric pattern, the main fabric, on the front side. It's not folded, layered, quilted, etc...and doesn't have a bunch of fluff, ribbons, etc. involved for the hanger, and it's not a ball, it's a flat disc. So I did start a vintage snowman last night. I do know how to do this for the most part from having finished the needlepoint ornament. But working with the invisible thread is a nightmare and adds time to the process. I hope to finish with the cording on this one and get it listed in the shop. Then I will have to stop with all things creative and just have a cleaning, put away day going on here. Which is fine. I think this ornament is going to be darling. We'll see.
Walking with neighbor this morning. Hope your day is off to a good start!

I get such a kick out of seeing your FB posts since am following your page. The cross is wonderful!!! This invisible thread reminds me of a kind of plastic thread I used years ago that was a nightmare but I can't recall now what I was working on.
Today I took Clair to PT and got approval to bring her twice a month instead of weekly. She is progressing nicely so I will add her regular to her 4X walks each day. I have been holding back to make sure that muscle was totally better. I decluttered two drawers in the K so that I could rearrange things to get my winter items better organized so that I will get them instead of just going out without the necessary items. It was very cold today since the wind was blowing (what's new LOL), raining etc. I was walking the dogs but gave up and scurried back into the house when rolling thunder started. Later on we went for the evening stroll but I definitely needed a bunch of gear so that's why I ended up organizing my winter items.
The wind has gifted me with enough dropped pine needles to have to rake again. I will spread that out over three days to get La Fiesta, La Mariposa and sections of the formal yard done. Hopefully I will enjoy being out there tomorrow since the high will be 50. We did have snow on the peaks of the mountains around us.I talked to DH about the 1/3 size buckboard that was so cute for so many years and let him know that it was going away. Hmmm....
Tomorrow I need to get Clair's Halloween harness adjusted to fit her and replace the shoelaces in my new boots with ones that do not come untied. Clair is supposed to get dressed up for the University on next Thursday but I know better than to put that off until I forget it.
I cant' wait to see the vintage snowman!!!

Good Morning,
Oh I'm glad you enjoy the page, I just try to keep it light and fun. It's nice to have it though I don't use it for sales really, because it allows me a place to post projects/product rather than on my personal page, I don't feel like I'm hard selling friends all the time. They can go look at the other page, or not. Whatever.
I'm glad Clair is making progress. Good work on the drawer decluttering and getting ready for winter. I wonder how many thousands of calories you've burned raking?!?
Creative: I did finish the snowman and listed him, if you look remember that $4.50 of that is package and shipping in reality. I still messed up the twisted top, but it's okay, but I need to better at that. I think I need my friend to walk me through it. Part of it went better, but the last step still problematic. THen I put all all the sewing stuff away.
Home: -yesterday I mailed two packages -shopped for few more necesssary, small, bedding related items, got them. -did the grocery shop for food for incoming guests -I bought some slightly darker green towels from Target even though I'd already bought towels. For some reason this darker green looks better in the upstairs bath than the lighter green. So I only got one of each size from Target and will use all the lighter color for downstairs. -this morning I've emptied a box of veggies from the kitchen counter -emptied DW reloaded, washed hand item -did a pick up, organize of the carp stacking area of DH's on the kitchen buffet
Todos Today prior to 2:00 PM: -make up the two downstairs beds -wipe down stainless steel appliances -clean the stove top and counters -shine the kitchen sink -do quick clean on all 4 bathrooms, vanities, sinks, toilets, tubs, floors -make the MB -start putting away the remaining stuff that's out downstairs -dust -sweep -Mail a box to DD for Halloween fun
This will probably all take me until about 2:00 working steadily. I am on it. Just a bit to do in areas, nothing overwhelming.
Oh, I found these teak little organizer boxes, like for a drawer, that were sitting unused in den builtin. I took them and put my packing tools, scissors, different types of twine, measuring tape, stamp in them and set on the little table beside my computer which is where I do the packaging. This stuff was just strewn about on this table top so it looks MUCH better and is very functional. Yay!
Hope your day is off to a good start!
Z.
Update: I don't use this term often, but I will use it now, today has been a "triumph"! I got everything done on my list above, plus more little things, expecially in the kitchen. Downstairs put away went pretty well and the whole space, though not completely clear as there are some things lined agains the long wall still, kind of behind furniture, looks FANTASTIC! DH took care of the few things I asked him to do, which is to dissamble and move this thing he's started attaching to his standing desk in our living space. If it's just us, I don't care. If we're having company, I care, but he knows this and took care of it. Yay! Just one more small job to do, and all I planned on doing is done. Just ready for company! Oh, and I forgot I can't make the quiche, SIL is allergic to onions! So I have other options so that's fine.
I hope your day has gone well also!

Z, Great job getting so much accomplished!!! The snowman is incredibly cute!! I had to talk myself out of snatching it up--people need to see it because it is too adorable to disappear quickly!!! Plus I KNOW all that went into it so it is very meaningful to me personally. BBL with results of today--beautiful outside and a glorious 60 degrees for a high which is great for raking!
Results: No raking got done. Instead I rearranged furniture, thoroughly vac'd the area I worked on. I like it much better and enjoyed doing it immensely. Also finished up yesterday's outside projects that did not get completed because it was too cold to get the quad started. Well I need to read up on how to use the choke which I put on tomorrow's list that way I can start the quad when it is fairly cold. I decluttered a dog couch/bed and one lamp. Did my mini home blessing. Kept everything picked up and finished what I started. DH graded the trails and firebreaks with the tractor. He also worked on that gates problem to get better clearance.
I am not sure I told you that I completed a resume/application to be on the Crisis Team for Paws. This team works on difficult emotional situations in the schools and other county services such as fire stations etc. The schools etc call when our dogs are needed to go in to provide emotional support. The application questions were quite lengthy and even though we have done a lot over the years most of it has not been with Paws so I was concerned that we would not be selected however we were and now I will do the training session so that we can start this work. I responded to some questions after we were selected and needed to let them know that I am not able to drive at night effective from now on which might have been a deal breaker. When the trainer did not get back to me I got worried. However it turned out that she had been in a car accident that resulted in a brain concussion and has had to limit her screen time but now is somewhat better so she contacted me and it all turned out OK.
Hope you are enjoying your company!!!

Congratulations on your acceptance to the PAWS program! It would be wonderful if they can you take advantage of your and Clairs services during daylight hours. Is the contractor not going to fix the gate clearance situation for you guys! Good work on the CB items. We also had a warmer day here today, without the winds.
Awe, thanks on the snowman! I will just make one for you you know, for free. I'm not sure that I told you I did take a more "planful" approach to using that fabric prior to just cutting into it, lol. So there are three types of snowmen, skis, carrying a sled, and snowshoes carrying gifts. So I made templates from paper first, then cut out of cardstock, and made a centered window, so when I'm cutting the fabric I center the snowman pretty well. I will try to get one of each of the others done soon so you can see those. Then I unfolded the Santa Mug/Cocoa fabric and was able to determine from the measurement of my template, how man ornaments I could produce from that fabric. That fabric has more going on in regard to pattern and so it doesn't matter to try to center any parts of it, cause all of the pattern is tighter, so lots is visable at one time no matter how it's cut.
CB and House: I got so much done yesterday and so many extra little things cleaned, wiped down, etc. I was just so happy with how everything looks, and still looks! I got I nice breakfast buffet set out for the guests, and that was enjoyed. I got it prepped, cooked, in serving things, warming in oven, before anyone was up and no nightmarish mess.
During Clean up I organized then entry way closet, purged two pairs of tennis shoes, two pair of flip flops and one pair of slippers. Added small shelf that was stacked, not in use, so we could have a two tiered thing on floor. I'm going to purge 2-3 table runners.
Today I took myself to a quilt show, I have a lot to say about that on another occasion. I loved seeing all the quilts.
That's about it.

Two very busy days for me. Sunday I raked and worked on the decluttering plan. Today I got all the stuff piled up in two places getting ready to have it taken away. I have FINALLY gotten to the point that I know I can move to a new home easily. Our stuff will fit into a house with a garage, preferably three car! Also I am racing to get things done before winter arrives. Tomorrow I have to dismantle the 1/2 size buckboard. It has been such a cute item to have. I kept two large scarecrows sitting in the driver seat etc. But now it needs to go away. Also there are some horses and cows that have seen better days. Being out in the elements here is very hard on yard decorations. The goal is to get everything sale ready and I am accomplishing it. I must stay disciplined and not get starting thinking I am going to spend many hours painting to restore this stuff. DH is going to have a cow Ha Ha. He shouldn't complain because I am letting him keep his two favorite yard ornaments--his tractor (plus accessories) and the Polaris UTV!. I am on it!!!
Hope you are having a pleasant evening. Great job decluttering! I can imagine what that quilt show was like if any of them were like the ones I have seen in books about quilting. My great grandmother and friends sewed them by hand in quilting bees. I guess that's what women did before had TVs.

Good Afternoon,
Great in interesting to read about the progress on overall decluttering and what would fit into a smaller house if a move was needed! You have been very persistent and hardworking with your decluttering and organization! The dismantling of the large yard ornament sounds like a big chore! You are on it!
I'm struggling a bit here again, but trying to get myself sorted out. The house is in great shape so that is a boon to my state of mind at least.
Creative: Well, I got to looking at antique butter mold designs, usually these were hand carved thing, and they can be a small stamp or larger round with a wooden form they slip up and down in. Most of the time I think they are floral in nature, and have been used, as many floral designs have been throughout the years. THere is a whole line of "Buttermold" fabric sampler stuff which I quite love. Anyhows, I didn't see, at least as far as I looked where anyone had worked with the cow. It's fine line with the looking you know, you want to look to check, but you can see too much, kwim? When I go back to work on my drawings, after my base idea formulates, I don't look at anything for the most part. Except sometimes I will look at an actual photograph of a thing sometimes, cause it's hard to remember certain things, like really what is the shape of a so and so. Do cat's whiskers actually go up or hand down? This way I am coming up with and implementing my own idea or play on an idea organically. I hope.
Quilting: Yes, the quilt show was pretty amazing, we live right above the county fairgrounds almost, and I guess they have a lot of these during the year a friend told me who I'd asked if she wanted to come with. So, I will probably go to more. THere was a booth manned by two women, which was all about hand stitching items, called Promise Stitching. This intrigued me and they were handing out little sample squares you could take home and try, just sample strips of scrap fabric, this was not a kit or anything. But how to do this is mainly taught by doing, orally, or in groups. THere are three projects that a person can learn, and those three would give a person the base knowledge needed to do many projects of different types. No machines, no pinning allowed! But they do not have instructions, or a group currently, so I'm not sure how one learns these projects. But I might be following up in order to find out. And if it means I meet personally with one of these ladies, I may just do that. But I need to stitch the sample square first, then possbily stitch a few squares so I have something to actually sew together with the flannel and the backing, so she can show me next steps. I have her phone number, but first, I need to actually try it. with my own fabric. You do the stitching in a 1/4 inch stitch apart from each other, they are never to touch, so you have this 1/4 inch, double stitch side by side things going on. It's filled with flannel only, then you attach the backing, sew together, wash it, and gets wrinkly, (that's part of the look....which I like) and it's done. I have questions though. Gonna have to think about it.
Home: DW is run, I'm running the last load of bedding to make up the beds so they are fresh for next guests. I've been keeping up with things. And I walked with the neighbor this morning.
Z.
Fabric ORnaments: This morning I unwound the floss that I use to make the cording, this is for the two tone cording for the vintage Santas. So that is done, cut, set out in batches to work with. Today I will set up the tabel, cut fabric, mat boards for the rounds, batting, and proceed with next steps.

Z, The quilt project sounds interesting. The quilt that my great grandmother and grandmother made that I have has the type of stitching that I saw when I googled Promise Stitching. Your new creatives sound fun! Today I spent most of the day outside and am glad I did since this lovely weather is not going to last. As far as what got accomplished all I have to say is that I am glad this day is behind me. It's fun for me to say that because I definitely turn lemons into lemonade by doing so. Clair will do her Halloween event dressed as a very cute pumpkin. The harness and leash are bright orange, large green bow on top of the harness with a festive flat pumpkin in the center. Her collar is a beaded lurcher--dark green background with orange circles (incredibly chic). Adorable pumpkin stickers for earrings. Her hat is like a French baret. It is the top of a pumpkin with the green stem made with felt and is kept on with a plastic headband covered in orange felt. She has a small kitty handbag with straps that will hold some of her fan cards and can be tied on to her harness hanging down a bit. All of this is beyond cute and yet is minimalist. She has a love/hate relationship with her hat. Fingers crossed that she will keep it on as we parade toward our seating area.
Hope you are having a relaxing evening!!!

Good afternoon!
Clair's outfit does sound over the top adorable! Thanks for describing!
Creative: Yesterday I got some fabric for what I want to work on for my Promise Stitch table runner. They did not have the correct size needle or color thread I need. So I will look for that tomorrow as well as the muslin for backing and the flannel for the backing to the squares. Today, I reexamined the instructions, so confusing, made decision to call the woman I'd been speaking with at the fair. She had an appointment and said she could come by! My house is in such good order, and I had a good gut feeling about her, plus she's probably 80 plus years old, I said sure! So she came, I'd made good notes for my questions, had scratch paper out for more notes, she brought squares of different types to show me, and I think I can move forward! I thanked her and gave her two sets of cards to take home home with her, both quilt themes, the History fan quilt and a set of quilt thank you notes and said I really appreciated her coming, which I DID!
This morning I reworked my crow and owl Halloween pattern into a winter/Holidayish type pattern, one with snowflakes one with just blue sky, and got those posted. I put a scarf on both the crow and the owl, so cute, and I'm glad those are up. I'm excited.
Tonight I have book club!
Hope your day has gone well!
Z. Friday: This morning I took out a quilted table runner I have that is a bit larger than I like but aside from that, I like the look of it and the size of the blocks/squares. So folded under sections of it, examined the layout, measured, and figured out the actualy "design" of it, which I'd not fully understood prior. I looked up how to calculate yardage for what one needs based on inches, looked at the fabrics I'd already gotten, then figured out, what more might be in order to achieve a similar plan, but on the smaller scale I wanted. Then I went and got the other parts of what's needed, the proper type thread, the flannel which goes inside, this is why you stitch the decorative cotton fabric to, and the muslin for the backing. I drew a picture and wrote down the measurements of what I'm to be doing. I probobly have too much fabric but I can make a coordinating runner for my buffet top if I have enough left over if this goes to plan. I'm excited to start sewing squares together!
Ornaments: I'm going to get the table set up to start working on completing the other fabric ornaments I have in mind and we'll see how long it takes me to get through these steps. Ornament Update: Two sets of cords made for two more vintage snowman ornament as well as the fabrics cut for front and back and the batting and mat board rounds. I also did the fabric cutting for the "Santa Cocoa & cookies" fabric and the red polka dot fabric for backing for three of those, the mat board and batting rounds. I will make the cording for these later. I can only sew one disk at a time, so I'll try to see how long this actually takes and if I can streamline any processes further.
Z.
More later!

Z, Sounds like you are having a great time creating!!!
Clair, in her pumpkin costume, and I went to the Stay-Paws-i-tive event today and had so much fun!!! The students absolutely love these costume days and thought Clair looked so utterly cute. One student got teary about her stress level so we chatted for some time and hopefully that helps, just so much to lose her DM on top of school stress etc. Clair will wear her outfit one more time. I think I might take a pic of her.
The junk haulers are coming in the morning. Lots to do! The pile of Office work is epic at the moment since I have ignored it so that I could get other things accomplished.

Good Afternoon,
Oh am glad you two made the event, that it went well, and hopefully helped some people! Yikes on the work pile up, you will get it in hand again cause you're such a rock star!
Ornament Making: I did get started with this process, some steps are easier than others and it's easy to want to set it aside and not proceed. So I got 3/4 way through #1 (there are 5 total to do. I might be doing and extra step with sewing the halves together, which are like cookies, think sandwiching together, as I'm doing this first prior to adding the cording. What this does it's get them tight together and helpt the cording to set more on top of the two edges because they are tight together, rather than sinking in the crack between them. YOu can combine attaching the cording and sewing them together into one step, but it "seams" haha....a lot for me handle at once, holiding it, fooling with the clips, getting them tight, attaching the cording, and "sew on" pun intended. So...I will keep doing it my way, but it takes longer. I think I will have all done by Sunday, maybe tomorrow, we'll see.
I'm trying not to think about my Promise Stitch project, cause of course I'd like to get that stuff out and start on it. But that is NOT happening until these ornaments are done.
Sales: I've sold about 29 patterns, no bears, plus 5 patterns to family members that bought. This is great! THere is repeat buyer of the same patterns, I find this curious, like I'm not sure if they're being gifted, or if they're being "kitted" up and packaged for sale in a shop, or if this one person is actually making them. I'm glad, I'm just curoius. SO far I've sold some tent ornaments, like several! Nobody touched those the last two years so is strange how this goes, and I have a few sales of my 12 Days Card packs which are a big sale for me. SO things are happening! I'm trying to increase my instagram following by following others, this seems to be working, but it's sort of slow going. I'm getting a views and favoriting of patterns which is awesome and had my first one of these on an angel pattern, which is how this got started, so that is exciting. That's the update!
I've walked yesterday and today, and I will get in a few more steps when I go to do a couple errands. Plus I want to get my pumpkin to carve for Halloween before they are out!

Z, Wonderful news about your sales!!! Busy day today for me. 1-800-GOT JUNK came and hauled away everything including that very large yard ornament without taking it apart which I thought was amazing! They DID get the truck stuck by ignoring what I told them about staying on the driveway and also which I told the appointment setter who wrote it down on the job description. I just about had an attack and ran out there yelling at the driver to straighten up the front wheels which fortunately he did and then proceeded to help by yelling more directions which were followed by the driver such as "Gun It!!! and STOP!!!!!!" And don't drive out in that dirt again and......... However the three of us managed to get it back on the driveway and ultimately out the front gates. They were such nice guys and we had much fun laughing about it. Also they moved something for me that was incredibly heavy for which I gave them some tip dollars. Then I called DH to tell him that "things" had been hauled off since I did not want to put up with his reaction in person--good idea LOL Also worked on 911 raking which is what I have started calling the raking that needs to be done NOW for wildfire safety of which I have had many days of this type of raking this year due to high winds. And did a bunch of other stuff ending up with 19,211 Steps. I am seriously proud of myself that I managed to get this decluttering done since it got rid of a lot of items that had seen better days and at a distance looked fine but not really if a person took a good look. Also some things were on my list to spend days painting on and on so I just had them hauled off. Hooray for me!!!
It's supposed to be warm enough for me to do some deck restaining tomorrow. Also I have some little leftovers that need to get done. Then after tomorrow the temp drops too much for that kind of paint/stain work. Not too sure if I will get to the rest of the 911 raking done so maybe that will be something to look forward to on Sunday Ha Ha..........
Hope you are having a wonderful evening!!!

Good Afternoon,
Wow, excellent work on the 1-800 junk haul away and management of the crew and driving excapades! Wow! Also all the raking.
Fabric Ornaments: I got all the "cookies" assembled and sewn but then had to put away we're having pizza dinner with cousin and his GF. I did have a tutorial via facetime with my friend on how she "finishes" the ornament and sews the cording. This was helpful.
Things are in good shape here and I need to run out for salad fixings.
Oh, I did get a couple small yard decorations for Halloween and set those out. And all of the cotton fabric for the Promise Stitch table runner project has been washed.
That's about it.
