A Kaleidoscope of Color
Connie Pa--Penn’s Woods Splendor Lucy TX-- Red Oak Diane OK-- Garden of Pansies Linda AZ--October is my Favorite Color Betty MN--Skeletons, Ghosts, Witches--BOO! Kathie Ca --Lavender Kathie Shragae Fla – Have a Sweet New Year Sandy IL Loving The Reds and Golds of Fall Molly MO –Red Squirrel Storing Walnuts
Boy this week has gone by pretty fast. Do not think I have accomplished much but then there really wasn't much to do around lately. the temps have been up and down and tonight they are going down down. Hard frost again. which is fine I am home and furnace is running good and keeping house warm.
18th is International Leggings Day. I love them for around the house but do have long tunic to wear with them. Don't even like to see the young girls wearing them with short tops. I do not wear them out and about.!! now days I like them with my long comfy warm socks as well.
Quote of the Day October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again.”

Nothing going on here. Might be able to open the house up later as it’s supposed to get in the low 70’s.

Slept good and got up later than usual. To only get to 78 today. Nice. Going to Bill's for lunch today. Wow, this month is going fast. Coffee calling.

Good morning!
Everyone talks about Spring cleaning but I seem to be Fall cleaning. Yesterday I had a company come to clean my second floor windows and skylights. I also have them pressure wash my patio which tends to get black and mildewy as the months go by.
Not only pressure washed it but they use some kind of a machine to polish it. Right now it looks great. I know about last but I'm going to enjoy it while I can!
Planters are awful weeds and I would love to tear them out and put flowers in there and given that we're going into fall and winter they probably died during a frost so probably just wait until springtime.

Just sent message to my primary care about recent fall/hosp/rehab/med changes. Suppose to schedule appt with him in next week-10 days. Have to figure that out because I can't drive. Will wait for a response to my message to see what he wants me to do with med changes etc. I definitely trust his decision more than a hosp doc who doesn't know my history or recent events. Woke up at 5 this morning for BR trip, went back to bed and they woke me at 8. I must have needed the sleep. Not good choices for breakfast, biscuit with sausage gravy and cream of wheat. Glad Lynda had brought me a box of BelVita breakfast wafers so I had a pkg of them with my coffee and juice.
Current temp is 58 heading for a high of 76. This is not normal Oct weather for MN. Wish mother nature would bless us with a nice all day shower.
Haven't seen any of the therapists this morning yet. Maybe they forgot about me. Not likely. Want to ask someone about my Covid and Flu shots because this is the time of year I usually get the flu shot. Thought they might be giving them here but haven't heard anything.
Shragae, you talk about spring/fall cleaning. I'm not going to be doing any cleaning other than keeping the dishes in the dishwasher and pressing the button to run that. Will have to spend some time doing a grocery order because I have had my neighbor and Lynda pretty much clean out my frig. I will just restart grocery delivery so I don't have to bother anyone with that.
Nothing else on my mind today. Connie, thanks for your words of wisdom last night. It's always a fun experience chatting with you.

You seem to be in top of things, Betty. Nice that fridge is cleaned out. Hate to think of it by now otherwise. Good thing your dog is small!
I do feel it today that I sat and bent over to garden…muscles not used for long time.
Also foggy, dopey, cloggy, dizzy this morning. had to take Sudafed to get up and walk without room moving. I did so looked forward to rain to take down the pollen…nope, sun and wind to bring more! Lovely storms stayed up north of us. Flag is pouring rain, Utah snow and sleet. I think dsil will just miss it it today in Denver.
no plans and book did not come, just Amazon apology and sometime by 8 tonight. RATS, today would have been great to read quietly.
first time chicken did not have crisp cheesy crust. I had coated it ahead of time …I think I have read not to do that. Well, it tasted good and was tender.
DH has routine check up today , but we already saw the blood test…phew. Always worry about another relapse of that aggressive prostate cancer. He still has fatigue from weeks of radiation last year.

It is 68 ° and to be in 70's this afternoon, to be this temp. for 2 weeks or so. I will take it.
Brought the dumpster up from the curb first thing this morning, was almost on the road and no lines at all on these country side streets so don't dare leave them that close to side of road.
As I have been switching from summer to fall I have been cleaning as I go along, somethings just straightening things up other a real cleaning. I kind of like doing that.
Betty always fun to talk to you. Like I have said in past you are my Hero!! For all that has happened in the last few years, you just move along and go with the flow!! A very special lady!!
My DGS #3 has certainly stepped up for me with this life insurance paper work. I sure hope my girls stay with their spouses , It has been an ongoing mess to change their last names to married ones now. He dropped off the paper work for some of my signature stuff and will fax it this afternoon. so much better than depending on Mail and email. He is a keeper even if he is a bit rattle brained, he knows his stuff!! Will take them all to dinner some time after all the Halloween stuff is over with and before the Thanksgiving stuff starts. Hard for me to keep up with all the families these days.
I am excited , tomorrow is the Apple Orchard Day with DD#2 and her DH. they will pick me up after they get their shots here in town and then off to orchard and time with DGS#2 and his wife. They live near there. Maybe dinner out? and I do know DSIL if taking car to get my tire pressure light taken care of. . It is back to warmer temps for a week or so and then when the cold sets back in the light will come on again. Just tire pressure's change on their own with warm to cold and back again. Honda's computer chips are very sensitive to that!! But then so is DSIL's truck. Tires are fine just all 4 tires will not be the same pressure off by a small amount. Honest not a flat tire.
arms are not sore at all, and did get the stronger Sr citizen flu shot as well. Also my free Covid test kits came today. Now to get the stamps I ordered !! no one quite as good as amazon for ordering things.

Well I didn't go to Bill's. He forgot to leave my car key. I got out my extra but evidently the battery was dead. I will see if Auto zone has it maybe tomorrow.
Bill came so now I have my good key.
Has anyone taken prevagen for memory?

.Walked dog at 4:45 and it was cold! 71 windy with gusts to 30! I cannot believe it goes back up to mid 90s next week when 88 is norm. Halloween is going to be hot. it was already 66 when I let her out at 8. It has not even been that low at dawn since last March. Nice not to listen to AC.
Have a good sleep.
