Good morning:
Take Time Tuesday....take time to be mindful of doing things that are better for you...they don't have to be big things, just mindful things. Today I am going to take the time to be sure that I am drinking water (I get so dehydrated as the weather cools) and to start a list of things to remember for when we pack the motorhome. I somehow didn't post here yesterday--- I did read Carole's post and then her second (when the kitchen guys surprised her and showed up) but then it's all a blur! DS30 was here and he and DH were talking about what needed to get done...suddenly DS30 said, "Mom, haven't you been waiting for some things to go to the dump?" YAHOO! So I helped them and we took a large load == finally, that back bedroom is on track again! I love getting rid of things like that! This morning we will run and I have a golf lesson and I hope to spend a chunk of time washing things from the motorhome and just feeling like we will be ready to leave on Sunday without feeling rushed around.
Carole: SO, did they get it DONE? Oh, please, please-- I hope that they did! I remember now that you had said that Zoe would be Little Red Riding Hood and Patti the Big Bad Wolf---how cute that will be! And I love Eden's idea--Laundry! I am looking forward to the pictures already! And I think that there is an important birthday next week too, right? I hope that you are feeling like things are more "together" with the kitchen and all. Jenny is right...you will pull it all together. I know though that it feels hard when things are not that way.
Jenny: Oh, I am SO sorry about the unexpected cost of the place! I don't know if you remember, but the first place my mom really loved was super expensive too---but, thankfully, she ended up being happy with the place where she is right now. I hope that you can settle on something this week and have that part behind you. I don't even know what a second person would cost for DM's place but I know that the food plan is one of the reasons why.....and you are still waiting on Audrey's car issues? Uggh....a lot on your plate!
Sue: I hope that the trip home went smoothly for you. What a great trip! And, for the next one, no pressure on coming back. Heck, you could budget to go out there multiple times each year!
Christine: How is your week going? I hope that NP hasn't been too frazzled and demanding!
Karen: Hoping that your week is going well too!
Okay, time to get this day going and I might even try to take a cat nap today! I am switching up Zumba and going this evening. Doing Zumba on Sunday after my long runs on Saturday is not so good for the old joints. I am looking forward to it still though. Have a good day--I will try to stop by later.

Jenny: Sorry insurance is so slow! That's not right. Makes sense if DM & DF can't/don't drive any longer, to just take it over. But wait... it's a FORD??? LOL UGH No, not the last time... well the last time for the floor. Still waiting for the cabinet rebuild! I might just take it apart myself! Then I'll KNOW for sure if it's mold in there or what!
Gabrielle: I am TAKING Time Tuesday... to write in my journal, track my food, and get my flu & Covid shots today. I will walk to the school for the shots. Oh yes, taking time to refill my water bottle too! I hit 100 oz yesterday! Glad you got that stuff to the dump! YAY for DS30! Good luck getting the motorhome ready for the trip.
Not really an "important" BD, just mine! We will celebrate mine and Patti's (11/6) BDs on Sunday. Football day, Halloween, BDs all in one day! Tracy is hosting, and doing a large salad bar. I'm bringing deli meats to add to the salads.
Love that Zumba is still fun for you. LOL "Old" joints.
No word from Alex today, regarding the cabinet, so yes... I am going to get down there and dismantle it. (IF I CAN) I will then email him pictures and remind him it needs to be rebuilt... again! This afternoon I will walk to the school - get my shots, then have an early dinner and make it an early night. Not sure how I will feel tomorrow!
♥hugs♥

Hello Everyone!
I saw on FB that our Sue landed and has returned from her NE holiday/vacation visit. Last time it will be using work time off! Yay!
Beautiful sunny Fall day here. Temps snuck up to high 70s but honestly, the air continues to be cool feeling. So odd. I don't remember such a warm Fall before! Ha - and there are still naysayers about Global Warming lol Not complaining as long as we benefit from such unusual warm weather.
Gabrielle - I'm excited for you to have a Retirement trip lol Do you camp at this place or is it more beach? I'm not familiar with the Pacific coast at all! How great DS30 was there to nudge DH into helping with carrying things off to the dump! Hooray! I don't quite remember, did he totally quit his other full time job for working the family ranch? Wow! So impressive they can make this work! What do they do for health care benefits? I'm assuming Kait carries them but what if she makes partner some day? Will she no longer have health benefits? Around here that is exactly what happens - several of our Teachers work full time for the benefits as their DH's are partners or solo in a law office. Will you be taking the pups with you on this trip? I had forgotten you did Zumba - is it getting easier and less awkward for you? I laughed too when I saw your "Old bones" comment -
Carole - oh I'm glad Alex showed up again but now we need ONE more thing? The cabinet rebuilt? What part was Tanner supposed to come fix on his own time? You win the prize for the longest Kitchen project ever! I know, I know you certainly did not wish for this!! Hush, you! What do you mean nothing special about a Birthday! It's YOUR Birthday! You are special to all of us!! How did the vaccinations go? Fingers crossed you don't have any reactions or side effects. Take it easy... I put up outdoor decorations for Halloween but ran out of steam for indoor decorating.
Almost finished with a contract report from Cindy's district left from August. This one is kicking my butt. It's tough as the student has multiple disabilities and it's really hard to tell what to recommend to help improve his situation. Their team is already doing their very best - he just has so many needs.
Jenny - wow, that is taking a LONG time to settle Audrey's car accident. Crazy. That's a huge help your parents' car is available. I love love my heated seats! And my sunroof! I'll be thinking of you on Friday with the additional home visits. I really hope something more affordable is out there. I have not heard anything more from Virginia on her sudden idea (lol) to move into Senior Apartments. She text me over the weekend to say she was sorting through large totes that DB Mark was storing in her shed. I had no idea. I must have walked right by them several times.
Sue - Welcome Home! I'm thinking your trip home was uneventful? Did you have to work today? UGH, right? How did it go?
Oh, I was apprehensive walking into work yesterday. But during a meeting with NP (she was 15 min late) she and I ran down her list of questions. She realized quickly that she really did know the answers - I reminded her we reviewed them the week I left - which is really why I was kinda annoyed, but didn't show it - Today I made good progress towards work-work reports and testing due later this week. I was a tad further ahead than I originally thought. Whew.
Time to warm up leftovers - lasagna today - I did make beef stroganoff yesterday but DH ate it all. I was like, really? Oh well - I don't want to hear any complaints on Thursday evening when he works late and comes home with, "What's for dinner?" (drives me nuts). He'll have to fend for himself as Thursdays is our Girls Night for me and Linds We usually order Chipotle and trust me, I'm having withdrawals LOL

Good afternoon!
I am enjoying a quiet house as DH is out golfing with a friend. I have Zumba at 5:30 and have been working on cleaning out a few things in the motorhome---it really is clean but it always feels good to rewash some things and make some lists about what to take. I think I am going to sleep well tonight--this has been an action-packed day. It is nice and fall-like here ---and the winter garden is off to a good start too.
Carole: Great plan to walk to the school for shots! We didn't really react to them other than a slightly sore arm. I hope that you don't feel a reaction. Hey there missy....your birthday IS a main event! I know that you group them together, but we will have our own mini-celebration among ourselves. I do feel old after a busy day like today....Zumba will do me good. Hope that your evening is going well.
Christine: Oh, I am SO glad that you returned to situations that were not too bad at work. Great that you are helping NP to be self-sufficient with some of the work. So, yep, DS30 quit his other job last summer and has been working on the ranch full time. It doesn't pay as well as his other job, but he really enjoys it and it's great for DH. Yes, they get insurance through Kaitlyn's work. I am not sure about partner....but her pay hike would probably more than pay for insurance. I am one of those people whose insurance always covered the family and know how important it is...does Gary's job offer medical insurance? Yay for girl's night on Thursday! Sounds like fun!
Sue: Hoping that you are home and as settled as you can be...and that all of the travel went well too. It always somehow feels good to get home though!
Hello to all who follow. I will check in tomorrow morning---hope to get a good night's sleep.

Evening all...quick update....
2nd flight got delayed yesterday coming home but I think it worked to our advantage by getting us leaving later so being behind most of rush hour commute....made better time coming home from BWI than heading down last Thursday. All in all a good trip!! Got home, emptied a few things I need for the rest of the week, will finish up this weekend.
Today back to work and had my open enrollment meeting....COBRA will be $1047 for next year....YIKES!! Hopefully we can find something to save me a little money between January and July. Talked to Alex at work and she reassured me that all will be fine. I told her my last day was 1/3/25....
Met with Simon tonight and while my head is mushy with all in the info, we feel good about how we will be living in retirement....need to apply to start SS benefits as of January 1st....bottom line, the taking the penalty for not waiting to 67 is more financially better than waiting and taking from our investments.
Now I'm exhausted and ready for bed....should be home right after work tomorrow and will catch up!!
