Good morning I am ready for Vegas. Busy week... Anna called me Mom in a meeting. I haven't heard that from her lips in over 4 years.

Good Morning ~ THINK 1st Thursday... I think I will join coah Julie's call this morning, then work on the journal, and figure out my day. Never got here yesterday... Covid & HD Flu vaccines Tuesday... so y'all know where I was yesterday! Yup, in bed or on the couch! Better today - not 100% but getting there. Might be a good day for some HT time in the sunshine! So... back to Tuesday!
Christine: Our Indian Summer is coming to a close this weekend. Blustery winds expected... the only good thing about that is the darned leaves should all come down and be able to get the yard work done! Yes, doesn't matter WHY, I'll enjoy any warmer weather I can get. Yeah, one cabinet should be taken apart, to see WHY I have "stains" on the cabinet bottom - where my pans were stacked. Tucker came and finished the heater. The floor guys came and finished the flooring on their own time.
Yesterday was a wash. The only good thing about a day in bed is my WI was pretty good today! LOL I know it will likely go back up some, if I can actually eat/drink today.
Oh dear, sorry that one report is giving you a rough time. Hang in there, we know you'll figure it out.
LOL Actually Jenny enjoyed my COOLING seats and sunroof, when we were touring in September! LOL I too can't live without heated seats anymore. Well, when we use the truck, we do not have that luxury. Oh dear... I hope Virginia isn't tossing anything that should be saved from DB Mark. Enjoy girls night tonight, and enjoy Chipotle!!
Gabrielle: YAY for your winter garden already off to a good start! Will DS30 water for you while you are gone? Oh my arm is STILL sore, if I try to lift it over my head!
Sue: Glad you are home and getting settled. WOW The meeting with Simon after your first day back after traveling! No wonder head was mushy! Yes... makes more sense financially to take what SS will give you now, rather than wait. $1047 is less than $200 per month (6 months), so that doesn't sound so bad to me??
Gabrielle: Glad you are enjoying nice fall weather. Oh geeze... hopefully your neighbor changes his mind on appeals! No, I did not get the cabinet apart. They used 18 screws to put the corner rounds in! UGH!
Sue: Sorry you couldn't shut down after your meeting. O get it... everything goes through your mind at that point. Eden has actually done Halloween for several years now. Their homeschool group does it, so I think that's why now it is OK. Jaclyn had always said if/when Eden asked then she would be allowed to. Oh My, that's $1047 per MONTH??? YIKES!
Karen: Baby steps hun... baby steps. Hoping Anna calling you Mom is the first step in rebuilding a relationship {{{hugs}}}
OK Not sure what the day will bring, but need to get my focus on prepping the meat I pulled the other day. I also got new egg rings, hoping they are large enough to hold my egg and egg whites, to make some breakfast sandwiches for a few days. Other than that, I have no plans for today. Tracy invited us out to dinner tonight. Trivia night at 99, but I know I will NOT feel like going out at 6 PM. Ken might go, but I just don't think I will want to.
OK Almost time for Julie's call, so I should have some breakfast and be ready for that!
♥hugs♥

Good morning:
I did put together a post earlier but, just before I posted, the internet stopped working here so lost the post. Oh well. I am so HAPPY to read Karen's post about Anna!!! Wow, that must have been a good feeling! I know that you are cautious (understandable!) but I am a believer in those who stay their course and don't become nasty and negative will always ultimately win. I have to believe that is the case for you. So, today's theme came from me reflecting on the last couple of days....I have been kind of mindlessly snacking and I don't think that I was really hungry but just kind of anxious. I think that me always kind of being on edge about how my mom is going to be each day and thinking about the possible appeal and just things. I don't bring it up to anyone else because they would tell me that I am being too sensitive and just need to let it go, etc. So today I am really going to think more about making better food choices, drinking more water, etc. I have a very long run on Saturday (kind of a landmark in my training) and I want to be fully hydrated for that too. My brother is flying in today and will visit my mom and leave on Sunday. I asked mom what time he was coming but she told me she was "too tired to look for the email he sent her." And then told me that she was leaving in 45 minutes for her Kiwanis meeting. Whatever. I will text him. I am glad that she will have company that is not me (I think she gets tired of me). I am looking forward to the break too. And I told DH that I am aiming to be ready to go early on Sunday so that I can host dinner on Saturday night for everyone. It would be good to get everyone together and, hopefully, DM will feel up to it. We will see!
Sue: I hear you on the cost of the insurance. I had to seek the "retirement insurance" option (not COBRA since I need it longer than 18 months)--COBRA would have cost about what you are paying. With the Board that I am on, I have been working to get the employees to look at "total compensation" and not just salary so that they see what we are paying for insurance on top of their salary. They come in talking about another organization paying more but, when we add in what we pay for insurance, they are actually better off with us! You are right, so many don't see that. I will let you know how the winter garden goes....it is fascinating to me that there are plants that thrive on the cool mornings! So far some of the lettuces, the beets (which I know you LOVE, lol) and the bok choy are the true champs in terms of growth. Oh, the neighbor and the appeal. It is about 8 acres that we are talking about. He owns a LOT of land (about 250 acres) but I think that he is a person who is very focused on winning. He can't even see this 8 acres from his house and it is close to our house. He is splitting the property among 6 different family members and they are changing it so it will no longer be "ag preserve". This 8 acres is right by our house so could mean that one of these 6 people could build a house right by ours...anyway, we will see what happens. I hope that work passes quickly for you today---less than 50 days!
Christine: Yay for ladies night (tonight, right?) I hope that Gary got moving and you got your shopping done. Any big plans for the weekend? It sounds like nice fall weather for you (but milder). I hope that you can relax and enjoy it!
Carole: I hope that you are feeling good about your week and how it is going.
Jenny: Today is your "Friday" I think? I will be hoping that you find a good option for your parents tomorrow. So glad that your sisters will be there too.
Okay, I am going to sign off. I hope to check in later (which doesn't seem to happen but maybe it will this time?).

Morning all
Today is my Friday, A fellow team mate Chrissy is filling in for me so she’s here learning all the tricks and getting herself up in the system up here. I’m going to be starting all my vacation time to use it up, a week in November(Thanksgiving week) and then a week before Christmas too.
Bonaventure waved the 2nd person feee and the 5000.00 community fee so my parents can get in there, so, after tomorrows tours they can compare what they like and can afford and make a decision about what they want to do. I think that was nice of Bonaventure to do that. We will see.
Ok gotta run for now

Quick hi from work on my lunch break!! Work is steady but not crazy!! Apparently Jason is crazy busy and will likely be working Saturday....I on the other hand will be getting a massage at 9:30 on Saturday morning....then will need to hit the store and get stocked up again!!
While it's not pay day today I think I'm going to hit Blue Koi for sushi for supper and the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Next week is the Lobster truck!! After all, I didn't have my "pay day" treat last week on Thursday!! Yes, I'm justifying the treat today!! LOL!
