Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Thurs I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 20 pts. We walked 2.1 mi in the afternoon.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
It was raining in the am, but stopped and we walked after lunch. It was a bit cold and breezy. Only a few salmon left nesting below our bridge. This am we’re going to town for groceries.
KELLY - GFY with the 2.2 mi walk Thurs, planning for today’s WATP in advance, and making diabetic-friendly pies for the church event.
CAROL - GJ with the water class and stretching. Glad you could visit your Sis. I’m not sure my Mom or my Uncle “knew” who I was, but on a deeper level I think they knew I was someone important to them. And bring with them was important to me. {{hugs}}
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Fri I did 2/6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 111 pts. We walked 2.2 mi in the afternoon. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: N - No “seconds” with snack: N - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: N - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): N - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 Last night I got into leftover junk food from summer and Halloween 🧐. At least I did track it all, stop, and JGTB. DH was watching boxing. Now to make that “just one night,” and keep moving forward. This am I attended my weekly virtual WW workshop on stress eating. We practiced the 5-4-3-2-1 mindfulness exercise. The coach recommended this podcast on “Menopause & Aging With Confidence” the Oct 24 episode of lemonadamedia.com/show/the-body-collective/ with guests New York Times columnist Tressie McMillan Cottom tressiemc.com/ and Dr. Mary Claire Haver, author of “The New Menopause.” There is very little medical school education on menopause, and nothing was mentioned in her training as a obstetrician/gynecologist about peri-menopause, which can be 7-10 years, from age 35-45. Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

Yesterday after breakfast we set up the Nordic Trak and Total Gym because it was raining, and more was predicted, but then the rain stopped, so we could walk, and the incoming rain shifted north of us. More rain is due today but the worst is supposed to be SE of us.
KELLY - GFY with the 4.34 mi Fri - Sun and 2.14 mi Mon. Yes it felt good to be back in synch with my healthy balanced meals 🙏❤️. Progress, one day at a time. Hope all goes well with your and Leroy’s checkups. What’s the problem with the bone in his ear?
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Tuesday! MIA once again, due to a football injury! I had what seemed to be a pulled/strained hip flexor or groin muscle, but all I did was watch football on t.v. Saturday! Really, I try not to sit too long, but I must have done. It was extremely painful; I couldn't sleep, and I could only hobble a little on Sunday. It was terrible, and the more I read about it on Dr. Google, the more terrified I got. Weeks! Months! Whaaaaaattttt? ? Thankfully, Monday I was able to walk more easily, and today I went to the pool for 40 minutes of water walking and exercising. And I stretched. Good luck at the doctors tomorrow, KELLY. CAIT, I used to really enjoy a Nordic Trak-type machine. I called it "the sweating machine" because...you know! 76/250 miles 31/775 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb:13; Mar:19; Apr:19; May:21; June:17; July:14; Aug:13; Sept:13; Oct:11; Nov: 7/30

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Tues I did 2/6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💛 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 36 pts. We walked 2.2 mi after breakfast.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: N - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: N - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: N - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): N - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
This am we woke up to a power outage. They said it should be restored by 3:30 pm, but thankfully it was back on within 2-1/2 hours. When our power goes out we have no water, no internet, and no heat. We lost our stash of firewood in the wildfire last year, and the new logs DH is cutting aren’t dry enough yet, so we can’t use the wood stove for heat and cooking. We have a propane camping stove we’ve used in the past, but not sure about fuel. We have an old generator we’ve never used because DH doesn’t want to store diesel fuel, and it would be very cumbersome to use, and it can only run one thing at a time. We’re very fortunate compared to so many other people right now - I saw that 600,000 people in WA are without power, and thousands in our N CA area also. We were able to make coffee and breakfast, wash dishes, and get the internet and heat back on, and DH made Kabocha squash in the instant pot for our dinner. 🙏
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.
