We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 52 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Sept 1, 2024. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members may join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Sept 1, 2024, is "250 Miles by Feb. 1, 2025."

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Thurs I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my đź’š zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 15 pts. We walked 2.2 mi after breakfast.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
We had a nice walk yesterday, sunny with light sprinkles. Not sure if we will walk today. Rain is expected and DH didn’t want to walk early.
I checked our town FB in the afternoon and no one posted about trick or treating. I forgot to turn on the porch light last night, but I doubt there were any trick or treaters out. Not many kids here now - the one big family moved away and other kids are grown up. The candy DH bought is just sitting there. So far I’m not interested 🙏.
Sis’s DGD still in hospital, still on ventilator but her numbers are slowly improving. The Drs are thinking of trying to test her lungs to see if they can wean her off the ventilator.
KELLY - GFY with the 7.2 mi on your days off. So glad you (and Sadie and Emma) had good med results 🤗🙏. Sounds like a nice evening out with Leroy and seeing his grandson’s football game. GJ with the deep cleaning and getting things ready to donate.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Fri I did 5/6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 22 pts. No exercise. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 It rained pretty much all day. Temp outside is 30 this am. I’m watching a little fog cloud drift downriver past our deck. I WILL do PT/ST today! Sis’s DGD still in hospital, still on ventilator, developed a fever, but her lung X-rays showed improvement in the areas that have necrotizing pneumonia 🙏. I attended my weekly WW virtual meeting this am. The topic was sleep and how crucial good sleep is for maintaining healthy habits. Bedtime routines are helpful. One member said her Dr has her taking calcium gluconate. I know the regular bedtime routine has changed my lifetime harmful habit of staying up late, and I feel SO much better, and of course my eating has become much better as well. The HHs are all linked and support each other. The coach shared this article: www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/how-does-menopause-affect-my-sleep Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Sat I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 22 pts. We walked 2.2 mi after breakfast. I did 14 mins of PT/ST before dinner 🥳.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: 💚 - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): N - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
DH is having his Skinny Pop evening snack only on Fri and Sat, and he’s having half the amount he used to have 🥳. His Skinny Pop triggered me a little, but I got through it with prayer and meditation and reading my “Snack on Inspo” notes. But later I woke up around midnight and couldn’t get back to sleep, felt a little hungry. I had some beans, an apple, an olive and a little unsweetened soy milk, took a Formula 303 herbal relaxant and read a little while in bed and got back to sleep. I’m somewhat amazed and grateful that I’m just not drawn at all to the candy, and that the urge to eat in the evening wasn’t real strong. It feels like real habit change is settling in. Progress 🙏.
Sis’s DGD still in hospital but making progress They are starting to wean her off the ventilator. It’s been 2 weeks.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

I'm baaaaaack! Our trip was more amazing than I had thought it could be! We saw rhinos (each with an armed guard!), giraffes, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, lions, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, cape buffalo, hyenas, baboons, monkeys, hippos, ostriches, a serval, and I'm probably forgetting something. Oh, my! I think I added about 40 birds to my "life list," too. I did not exercise, other than airport walking, and the only stretching I did was incidental. BUT my AppleWatch congratulated me everyday for reaching my exercise and activity goals, which I achieved by bouncing around on rough, rocky roads. Ha ha! CAIT -- I'm sure sorry about your great niece. Wow! That sounds so terrible and frightening for her and her family. I hope she can get off the ventilator soon. KELLY -- I'm glad the new position is going well. I'll bet you're looking forward to starting the health coaching, though. My niece (pancreatic cancer) started her chemo this weekend, and she's off the feeding tube for 10 hours/day. I don't know if that means she's taking food by mouth or not, but I hope she is. 69/250 miles 25/775 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb:13; Mar:19; Apr:19; May:21; June:17; July:14; Aug:13; Sept:13; Oct:11; Nov: 1/30

Yesterday we drove 100 mi loop for an appt in the valley, and groceries in town, so it was after noon by the time we got home.
In the evening I had some thoughts of eating, but I wasn’t hungry and didn’t want to get that night eating fire rekindled. It wasn’t a real strong urge and I got through it with prayer and meditation, but forgot to read my “Snack on Inspo.”
KELLY - GFY with the 3.22 mi in two walks. Thank you for the prayers for Sis’s DGD. Her Mom didn’t post an update yesterday but I’m assuming that the family’s stress is lower, and she is continuing to improve.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Monday the contractor worked on our front deck, and so far the planks are staying flat.
This am was a four burner morning on the stove - batch cooking beans and quinoa, making a pot of green tea that I’ll chill in glasses for DH to have with lunch, and our steel cut oatmeal.
KELLY - GJ with the 2.85 mi. That’ll be nice helping out at the old office. Our big loop drive is enjoyable - it’s mostly through forest.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

THURSDAY
Just a quick check-in. Thanks for the well-wishes for my niece.
CAIT, I'm glad your sis's DGD is on the way to better days, especially coming off the ventilator. I didn't know it was possible to cough on a ventilator!
KELLY, it will be nice to check in with your colleagues at the flu clinic.
Well, I haven't posted because I have been flattened by a pretty bad cold (so has Fred). I haven't done a darn thing! I guess I ran a couple of errands yesterday, but came right home to the couch. Yes, I remembered to wear a mask.
I just finished stretching, and hopefully I can resume some sort of activity tomorrow or this weekend.
