Final Weigh In December 31!
Happy Holidays and welcome to the New Year!
Good morning all. SO good to sleep in my own bed, even with the time change feel so much better this morning. I did drink some of the wine with our take out pizza but it had already been a free for all kind of day. Not a good excuse but today will be BOT. A few days with really no veggies or fruits, not many good choices were made and I want to start my new week off on a better foot. Still have some puppy chow and halloween candy to deal with. If I can keep it put away until knitting day, it will go there. I did send a bunch home with Sis but even she didn't want all of it hanging around
. Been thinking about the fair and have some ideas. One, we should have set the tables up differently so people didn't have to come to the back to look at some things. Make more of an L shape and sit behind, instead of a U shape, if that makes sense. Also, the shoppers tended to be a lot of seniors and they weren't that interested in "stuff" for decorations or ornaments as they probably have a house full already, and many of them already knit or crochet so don't need to buy that kind of thing. A did have some ladies buy my baby hats that looked like bears, and one of my owl hats. Just some data and ideas in case we do it again at some point. I wouldn't say I saw a lot of sales at any of the booths. Except maybe the 4-H bake sale
. I'm going to put a few of my things up on Marketplace and see if I can clear out some extra stuff before I put everything away. Moving on. Looking forward to finding some projects to work on for holidays, family gifts or just fun or fair. Everyone happy with the football results this weekend, both Ducks and Hurricanes won. The big game here today will be Packers/Lions. Might be a good time to go to Walmart or the grocery for a few things because everyone will be home glued to the TV! Gray and damp here this morning, supposed to rain off and on. I still need to finish unpacking the car, then sorting out products that I just threw all together to pack up, get out my tables and shelves. I think all that carrying tables and heavy things out to the car and up and down the stairs really upped my calorie burn, considering how much time I sat driving and at the fair. I did buy 2 ornaments, probably gifts, that are woodcut and have a cardinal and saying on them. No other big new from here. Hope you all have a great Sunday. Jan
Murphy Enjoy your snowmen decorations. I need to take down my few Halloween things and change out my flag in the front. Not sure when I'll start putting out new things, don't really have Thanksgiving and pretty sure DH would not be ready for Christmas
. Enjoy your day at church!! Thanks for starting us.
Cathy Time to reign it in for me too. Told DH I want to be down 10# by the end of the year and no more temptations should come home. See if we both can stick to it.
Cindy Glad you are feeling a little better. I like this challenge too, thanks for putting it up and always starting the new ones.
Amy Did you go to 6 Flags? I may have gone 1 time when DS was younger and it was part of Marine World in California. He didn't really like rides and when we wanted something like that we would go to Disneyland. Have your kids always liked the big roller coaster and such? I can't take them!
Waving hi to all. Will check in later.
