The Mind☯Body☯Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Happy New Year to all of you wonderful women!
I truly thank all of you who have helped me throughout the year with all the inspiration and positive energies!!!!!! Today I ask that you send some positive energy to my sister and niece in Ohio. This past week the niece just got her 3rd DUI at age 33. Really. She is having difficulty learning from past mistakes, and just seems to make poor choices over and over again. My poor sister. We're trying to help her. We'll be doing Byron Katies 'The Work' with her, and of course I've told her about our little MBS practice and encourage her to practice too. The silver lining is she didn't kill anyone, or hurt herself, AND she can take public transportation to her new job. Thank heavens! And thanks in advance for the energies!
affirmation - My actions are in line with my goals health goal - curb the carbs! fitness goal - cardio. I need to work up a serious sweat! gratitude - my girlfriends. They complete me.
Tonight, game night with my friends and DH's. Got lots of fun games planned, and healthy appetizers to serve. Yowza!

Good Morning, Lisa: I just sat down to do my daily post and I read your message. I am sending as much positive energy to you and your family as I can. My heart goes out to your sister. Is your niece an alcoholic?
Byron Katie is a great idea. She does have a podcast and you might even find an old one to listen to that addresses the family affected by alcohol. I am pretty sure I've heard one, but you might have to go back a couple years. Her website - The Work - is also a good resource.

And a good morning to all. I've been thinking about resolutions or affirmations for the new year, since I posted yesterday. While I was looking for a new avatar for myself to start the new year (thinking peace around the world), I came across some quotes and pictures that got me thinking about other things that I'd consider adding to my list. I almost see my ideas more as affirmations and "direction" versus what I think of as "resolutions". They are part of a journey to a better self. Just as we post our daily affirmations, I see my 'resolutions' as affirmations for the new year. I'll post again later. For those that only check in once this weekend, I wish you a peaceful and safe new year. Lisa, have a wonderful game night. Suzanne Daily Affirmation: I feel the presence of those who aren't physically here thru nature. Fitness Goal: one hour at the gym. Health Goal: water. veggies. Gratitude: for you.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about your niece. I am sending positive thoughts. Three DUIs is tough. I feel for them both.

Attitude habit builder: Flexible and adaptable. This worked well for me today to step out of my comfort zone. BTW at or below goal for the year 2016.

Calling all Angels...Happy New Year's Eve to you! Thank you all for keeping the MBS torch burning brightly this past year and creating a warm, fuzzy place for all of us to land. I appreciate you all so much, especially your wisdom and spirit of goodwill. You're the BEST! Lisa, I'm saying prayers for your niece. May she find the road to recovery and your sister find support in dealing the challenges her daughter is facing. Michelle's suggestion about Alanon is a good one. It's a resource I don't think enough people know about. Enjoy game night! What a fun way to welcome in 2017! Suzanne, I love your dove of peace avatar and what you said about being on a journey to our better selves. Thank you for that! Carol, glad to "see" you and hope that 2017 is a year of action for you! Pat, what a perfect affirmation for the new year! I'm sure the speaker at your meeting had much more inspiration to share as well. Michelle, thumbs up for staying at or below goal this year, you happy camper! I have set two intentions for 2017 -- the first is to meditate for 365 consecutive days, an endeavor that will be supported by 36.6K+ others on the IT app. I am so excited about this! One session, one day at a time, will bring this intention into manifestation in my life. Silence, stillness, and breath combine to help me experience each day to the fullest. The second one is to restart my backyard garden in the springtime. When I grow vegetables, I actually eat more of them and find them so much more tasty that the storebought varieties. So, it's time to dust off my green thumb and put it work in support of a healthier me! Daily Affirmation - My dreams create intentions. My intentions create energy and action to achieve all that my heart desires. Fitness Report - A functional day of steps while shopping. Health Goal - Accountability through tracking, snack-free evening, empty my jug. Gratitude - YOU! For those who will be awake when the ball drops on 2017, Happy New Year! This angel will most likely be asleep by then!

Dear Angels:
I awakened to a very sunny day here;what a great way to start 2017!
Carol: I like that affirmation “My actions are in line with my goals”. Words to live by. Sometimes we come up with an affirmation that feels like something I want to do every day. Does your fitbit work well for you - do you manage to get your 10,000 steps in most days?
Michelle: Many congratulations for keeping within your goal this past year. We all know the hard work (mentally and physically) it can take to stick with it.
Anetta: I love your affirmation from yesterday and your pretty flower avatar. What kind of flower is that? Is it from your garden? Thank you for using the word “intentions” (yesterday’s post). I kept trying to think of the word I wanted to use (not resolution or affirmation) and “intention” is that word. I think I’ll join the IT app group as well. Its my “go-to” app for good guided meditations and joining the group might work well to keep me on track. On another thread, someone said that, if they were still awake at midnite, they were going to start the new year with a meditation. I thought - what a great idea! I didn’t make it to midnight. Sending you positive energy to transfer to your garden. I agree - there is nothing better than enjoying the “fruits” of your labor.
Lisa: I hope you had a great game night. I was asleep by 9:30PM. I’ve been thinking about you, your sister, and niece a lot. It seems most of us have been touched by alcohol in one form or another. Such a destructive substance - most definitely in my own family.
Hello to Pat and Pam and anyone else who wanders thru our garden of grace.
Daily Affirmation: Nothing can bring me peace but myself. Fitness Goal: A walk outside on this beautiful day. Health Goal: Back to good, quality eating. Treats of the holidays - gone. Gratitude: You. (it bears repeating)
Namaste. Suzanne
