Not exactly resolutions (they are notoriously failures) but plans, thoughts, goals for 2017?

I don't usually make resolutions but I do need to get back to goal weight. It used to be about vanity but now it's strictly about health. COPD & extra pounds do not make a good couple.
I am going to try & be kinder to myself& others & I am going to,learn to expect less from others so that I'm not so disappointed when my expectations are not met.
I'll know more after my meeting with myself tonight!

I'm not one to make resolutions anymore either - it was just too disappointing when I wasn't successful at them. But I do like to start a new year with ideas about things I'd like to achieve this year and just kind of review where I'm at in my life Wishing everyone a very good New Year!

At the moment the only goal I can think of is to wake up for the next 365 mornings. Being successful at that is a biggie!

I don't like the word resolutions but here's what I'm planning:
Take the stairs at work (I'm on the 3rd floor and got lazy this past year and started taking the elevator) Wait until at least noon to eat lunch (another bad habit at work, I started to pick at and eat lunch at 11 or so) Read before bed (more reading, less Internet!)
Wishing everyone health and happiness in 2017!

I never believed in making resolutions b/c they are too easy to break. However I do like setting goals.
2017 goals: learn how to maintain continue to exercise every day Be mindful of portions Increase the water

Quick check-in before bed (lovely dinner, will be wearing sodium tomorrow!) I love sullicat1 having a meeting with herself! I have to do that regularly. I don't make resolutions anymore with my history of breaking them, but I do have dreams and goals. 2016 was so amazing that I don't even have any idea of topping it, I just want to take what this year brings and handle it with grace, not just think that everything is going to be great and that something is wrong when it's not. The wedding(s) and the move really messed me up with the progress I have tried to make with over-spending, a long time problem every bit as big as food ever was; this is the year I want to know that I Have Enough and live that way. I want to eat healthier than I do and spend more time in the kitchen. I've come a long way with acceptance, of myself and the world, and want to grow stronger. I want to not move. I read this great quote this AM: "This new year will not be just another year. It's the absolute richest I've ever imagined, with the most possibilities I've ever offered, for the coolest people I've ever known to do the greatest things they've ever done. "

like sulli, get my weight under control and back to goal. my girls are turning 7 in the new year. it's been way too long since i've been allowed to call this "baby weight."
i also need to get back to strength training. i stopped doing it when my trainer and i had trouble finding a new gym at which to meet up, but now my friend has offered for us to use her gym at her apartment complex. i can really see the difference. my arms are jiggly compared to 2 years ago when i was hardcore strength training regularly.

Love the positive thoughts this morning. As 2017 begins the key for me will be taking each day as it comes. I know I won't be perfect, but I won't give up on my journey toward the goal of a healthy life style. I'll track, exercise and keep smiling.
