Happy New Year!
What did you do New Year's Eve? What are your plans for today? What did you do/are you going to do to stay on plan?
I stayed home New Year's Eve, as I usually do. I had a couple glasses of wine, then a Bailey's Irish Creme and two small pieces of homemade fudge. And I'm just now hearing a couple of coyotes howling in the new year, at 2 minutes after midnight.
Tomorrow/today after I get up, my son, grandson, and I are going to celebrate the combination of Christmas and New Year's that got postponed due to a major snow storm. We're having prime rib, baked potatoes, winter squash, chopped salad, cranberries, and for dessert sour cream lemon pie. These are individual purchased pies that taste just as good as homemade because I'm too lazy to make dessert from scratch this time. I will have a normal serving of all but the pie and will cut it in half or even thirds. I will ignore any other Christmas goodies that may happen to appear. And I will drink lots of water. There will be wine too, but not too much. No more than 2 glasses for me.

~ Happy New Year ~
What did you do New Year's Eve? Made vegetables and rice for dinner: kohlrabi - cooked and raw, broccoli, cauliflower, cheddar cheese melted on some of it. We talked and sipped sparkling wine and I went to bed before midnight because I was tired.
What are your plans for today? Hubby woke us at sunrise to see it and wanted his photo taken - I did not feel awake enough for a photo but figure nobody will see it and it made him happy. He and my daughter are off to the family tomb to take flowers and pay respects then might visit family in the village. I am catching up with things on the computer.
What did you do/are you going to do to stay on plan? I am currently putting plans in place for this year of being OP. I know it is foolish to implement 100% until after the 9th when my daughter heads home. I am doing some moderation in the meantime.

New Year's eve - nothing special. I'm so used to getting to sleep early to be able to get up quite early for work that I have no idea how I'd stay awake to midnight and later for a new year's eve party.
Plans for today - Changed my thoughts a bit when I saw that we are supposed to be getting some winter weather tomorrow (snow, freezing rain). I think the grocery stores are open, I may go and get a few things today instead of tomorrow.
Staying on plan - no parties last night, no issues there. Same as I've been paying attention to during the break from work - paying attention to hunger when home and have more opportunity to eat when not hungry.

Spent NYE at home with family. We had fajitas which we all love. I did get the kitchen cleaned and my e-mail queue cleared to start the new year. Planning a walk around the neighborhood and delicious point friendly meals. I'm ready for the new year and continuing the journey.
Happy New Year everyone!

Beverly, congratulations!
What did you do New Year's Eve? Went to dinner (7:30) at a very fine vegetarian restaurant with five other couples. Had a blast! Had barely one glass of wine to toast in the New Year (note: the restaurant closes at 9pm, and we didn't know it, so we left closer to 9:45 after the waiter very politely came by to tell us they'd closed 40 minutes earlier...). Delicious, and didn't overdo.
What are your plans for today? Visited a friend who just lost her 24-year-old grandson. The autopsy will reveal cause of death. He had been in an auto accident in July, been in excruciating pain ever since, had surgery on Wednesday and was discharged the same day, went to his father and step-mother's house, was in fine spirits Friday morning having breakfast with his father, slept through lunch, and his father found his body in bed when he (dad) got home from work... Hope to know more tomorrow.
What did you do/are you going to do to stay on plan? Today was my first day totally back on SFT. Ate 5 raw almonds; that was the ONLY non-SF item that passed my lips today.
