NO EXCUSES
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN be ON PROGRAM EVERY DAY.
~ Happy New Year ~

Coming up with topics daily is not always easy SO I search for help sometimes. As this is a new year and we are all focused on our health and wellness I did the same as last year's book of tips was completed.
Last year I took our daily thoughts from: 365 Days of Healthy Eating from the American Dietetic Association by Roberta Larson Duyff MS, RD, FADA, CFCS (found in pdf format on the internet
This year I found: Wellness Made Easy 365 Tips for Better Health by C O N T E N T S Food and Nutrition TIPS 1Â177 Self Care TIPS 178Â309 Fitness TIPS 310Â365
A YEAR OF WELLNESS
Wellness means much more than the absence of sickness. It is a way of living that emphasizes such preventive measures as eating a healthy diet; making exercise an enjoyable part of your life, and making self-care decisions that will actively improve the quality of your life. Wellness means reducing your risk for chronic disease, preventing and treating injuries, banishing environmental and safety hazards from your home and workplace, and eliminating unnecessary trips to the doctor—but making the best use of the healthÂcare system when you need it.
The premise of wellness is that you can live a long, healthy, and active life. All you need is the desire to do so—and the right information on which to base your actions.
1. Eat foods rich in vitamin C every day. An adequate intake of such foods may help protect against cancer and possibly other diseases. Besides oranges, the best sources of vitamin C are, in alphabetical order, asparagus, blackberries, broccoli, cabbage, cantaloupe, cauliflower, grapefruit, kale, kiwifruit, mangoes, mustard greens, peppers, raspberries, strawberries, tangerines, and tomatoes.
Question: What are your favorite ways of including vitamin C in your diet?

We have citrus growing on our land so usually get it in season from the trees. Usually in juice format. I did not realize that some vegetables on the list had vitamin C so I probably get more than I thought. Had grapefruit juice this morning and might have a kiwi later.
