We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Just saw this on FB from Andy Borowitz, and it made me laugh. Hope it brings a smile to your face too . . .

I refuse to listen to even one single more word that KAC has to say. If she comes on the air, I am immediately switching channels or just turning the darn thing off. If I want fairy tales, I'll read a copy of Grimm's. At least those have a moral to them.

I honestly don't understand , WHY, besides media ratings, CNN would even give KAC a platform to " vomit" ( her word for CNN) her alternative facts aka LIES! JA supporters aren't watching CNN anyway, so, not sure who she thinks she is going to convince. UNLESS CNN thinks she is going to say something to hang herself or her boss. CNN. gave her a good 30 minutes to lie, but in the end she & her boss will still slam CNN with the Fake News mantra. So, if CNN is just Fake News, does that mean that KAC appearance on CNN this morning is Fake News...LOL

Donnie Jr is as dumb as his dad. Goodness, Tiffany may be the smartest kid in the bunch. Truthfully, I've always felt abit sorry for her. They drag her out when they want a photo op, but otherwise she is the forgotten daughter. Which IMHO is a blessing for her in the long run. I hope she realizes that someday.

I agree about Tiffany. She is far better off to be ignored and left in the background--as far in the background as she can get. Both Don Jr and Eric are as slimy as their father, and Ivanka didn't fall far from the tree either. She has a little more polish, but that's all. She follows through on nothing she says, and both she and Jared are totally in this solely for what they can get out of it--more money and ego boosts. The whole clan is slimy. It's actually a good thing for Tiffany that she grew up on the opposite coast from her dad. I liked Chelsea's twitter comment to the JA. One thing you can say about the Clintons regardless of their personal failings otherwise, they did a good job raising Chelsea and keeping her out of the spotlight so she could become a very strong, confident young woman and mother who isn't afraid to speak her mind.

One more thing to be concerned about with the JA's attempt at possible voter suppression. Most states are refusing to cooperate, but some misguided people may be playing right into their hands by canceling their own voter registrations. Not a good move, and one I hope won't be followed by many. Even though they could re-enroll before the next election, some might not get it done in time. Every vote counts, and we can't afford to waste any opportunities to defeat these jackals. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/self-disenfranchisement-very-bad-idea?cid=eml_mra_20170710

In order for JA to be impeached because of campaign collusion, do they have to prove that he colluded himself or just his campaign? Does it just have to be that he was aware of the collusion even if he didn't personally actively participate? Although I guess if it can be proven that he knew and did nothing, that would be active participation? Wish I had gone to law school.

Collusion or not, it still comes down to whether the GOP Congress will lead the charge to Impeach. I think they won't & if that is the case, the Dem's don't have the votes to get JA Impeached & the GOP doesn't have the guts to actually Impeach even if they were smacked in the face with damning evidence. They would rather enable rather than go along with the Dem's for the good of the country. I know Pence is courting Big Donors for himself, so does that mean he thinks he will be sitting in Oval Office soon & thinking ahead to 2020. ?

It might mean that Linda. Pence is covered in slime, and greedy for power. That's why he signed on the JA ticket in the first place. Certainly not because he believed in the JA, but he saw a way to push himself to the top if not in 2020 then in 2024. By 2024 though, I don't think anyone connected even remotely to this administration would have a snowball's chance in a very hot place. I'm hoping they won't by 2020, but I was drastically wrong in 2016 so not holding my breath about it. The only way the Rs are going to turn against him is if sentiment turns so far against him they see it as a matter of self-survival. I think both Rubio and Cruz might try to challenge him for the nomination for 2020, however, especially Rubio.

We have to appreciate the irony of the thought of Pence becoming President, he was about to lose his job as Gov of Indiana when Dumpfy tapped him for VP.
Pence is just licking his lips waiting to replace Dumpfy.........In all honestly I hope the job skips him and goes to Ryan. (as we all hold our nose)

Anne, I'm thinking Sr would have had to collude himself too. Just keep thinking about the big question with Watergate being, "What did the President know and when did he know it?" Of course, as history tells us Nixon was into the whole thing way up past his eyeballs. But was wondering if that question would have meant that it was enough to just know about it even if he hadn't actively participated? But maybe knowing and doing nothing to stop it is colluding? Either way, as Linda pointed out, Republicans are going to have to make the first move no matter what is proven unless we can get enough seats in 2018 to force their hand. Right now, none of them have the courage to jump ship. They may snipe at him from time to time, but they all fall into line when push comes to shove. As much as I dislike Ryan, you're probably right that he might be a little less slimy than Pence. I can hold my nose with either of them if we just had this disaster out of the WH. Sure hope Mueller is tugging hard on that thread . . .

Does anybody really believe that one month after getting the nomination Jr, Jared, and Manafort would have met with a Russian lawyer who claimed to have dirt on Hillary and NOT told JA about it? No way do I believe that would have happened.
