Darn, where did my post go? affirmation - My intentions are key to success! health goal - JOURNAL! 2 meals already in. fitness goal - cardio and extra stretching gratitude - RAIN! Haven't watered in several days! Stepped on the scale this am, and was surprised my weight is low, cuz I don't feel that. I have to start a focused work out program and steer clear of whites. I know this works!

Good Afternoon, Dear Ones!
Daily Affirmation - I give myself kind attention. What I practice grows stronger. (thank you, Shauna Shapiro, for your TEDx talk: The Power of Mindfulness) Fitness report - yay, I woke up early enough for Barre class again! Health Goal - let my belly rest (too much of many good things yesterday, sigh!) Gratitude - our picnic was not rained out! The rain came today, instead.☔️ (big time!)

Oooh, kind attention! I like that. Lisa, that happened to me the other day. Boo to phantom posts. Good job on your scale reading. Congratulations on your summer blonde 'do, Suzanne - how funny, I had mine cut and colored too. I'm a perky brunette vamp. I'm just back from the ENT for this chronic cough and tinnitus. Today was a hearing test - thankfully, normal. I told him my theory is the ringing is from the spasmodic coughing all day and night. He put a little tube down up my nose and down the throat and says "Just as I suspected - you have chronic low level acid reflux." It's called LPR for laryngophyngeal reflux. Say that three times fast! I'm coughing b/c the swelling from having bronchitis in March cannot heal with the acid. I'm on Prilosec and Zantac for six weeks and we re-evaluate. He doesn't see me staying on them. Out of the bat I have to give up my green tea. herbal only. He said yes, it has health benefits but also is high in caffeine. Waves to Michelle! Daily Affirmation - Lifestyle changes can work wonders. Fitness Report - Kundalini yoga for digestion. Health Goal - get over this within the six weeks. Gratitude - can't beat a good doctor who "gets it."

Pat - Have you tried Rooibos tea? No caffeine, low tannin. A Toxicologist friend researched it and says it has good polyphenols & other healing substances.

Pat, I had to go green tea-less also. I drink Organic Better Belly Blend by Two Leaves and a Bud. Whole Foods used to sell it and now I get it through Amazon. I don't like any kind of herbal tea but this. It is harmless and is approved by the drs. Life without caffeine is easy (harder to give up chocolate and sugar for me, also yogurt was really hard) It's different and relaxing which I think is a good thing and don't miss it at all now. Years ago I had to give up coffee as it caused a very odd mood in the morning that I dubbed "the menacing morning meanies". Wonderful to find out that the awful mood was caused by the drug caffeine and not by me. Good Luck. Sorry you are having health problems.

I am working to get back OP again and decided that today is the day to do so. I have joined a few more groups and realized, when I saw this group, that a positive focus that incorporates more than food and exercise is something I will benefit from as I move forward. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you better. Thank you for being here (since I am in Lebanon and hours ahead of those in the USA I will probably be posting for the day just past rather than the day you have indicated) Daily Affirmation: If I believe in myself I can accomplish anything Fitness Goal or report: My goal for this Friday is to do SOMETHING - either walk outside for a bit OR get on the air-walker in the basement and do a few minutes . Also, make some roobios ice tea (thank you for the reminder that I have some in the cupboard, starchild68,)Health Goal: Fill in my journal - breakfast already done Gratitude: I am grateful for the kitten that survived (one of four) and that she is thriving
