The Mind☯Body☯Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Good Morning, Dearest Angels:
Pat, thank you for getting things started.
I'm having one of those "feel crummy" mornings. As you know my IBS symptom is abdominal cramps. That seemed to be subsiding quite nicely with the meds. I don't know if its something I did to my core muscles at the gym on Saturday and if that exacerbated everything in my gut, but it really has me feeling crummy. Add to that, our furnace has been 'declining'. We'd already had it set up to be replaced on Thursday but, these last couple days, its really acting up. So, fortunately, DH fiddles with it and manages to get it going. But its one more stress. And since I think anxiety is the primary cause of my IBS, well...you get the picture. And don't even talk to me about the holidays. (Furnace-Replacement moved to tomorrow.)
Pat, I know you've suffered ongoing back pain, right? Is it just mind over matter?
Okay - thanks for letting me 'spill'. I know you all will send good vibes my way.
Daily Affirmation: Stop the worry, the stories in my head, the anxiety, and have faith that the universe will guide me to where I need to be.
Fitness Report: A nice Tai Chi class, where I really began to "feel" the moves, plus a limited amount of strength-training
Health Goal: Get back to a regular therapeutic meditation practice.
Gratitude: For a glimmer of sunshine above.
Namaste. Suzanne

Thanks for setting us up, Pat! I love that we will be able to post pics! Cool!
Suzanne, sorry about your furnace! We just replaced one a few weeks ago also. The bright side is that I won't be doing that in this house ever again! Sorry you are having such a terrible time with your IBS! sending you ~~~~~~calming~~~~~~~~ vibes so your belly calms down. Try some deep breathing! That usually helps.
Pat, what is it with men and yoga? My son has back issues and tunes me out every time I mention how yoga and pilates would be perfect for him. His response is, 'I just gotta work out", ugh! Men!!! Sometimes they are hard to live with! Oh, and I loved your affirmation! I swore to myself I would tackle my desk before doing one holiday 'to do' or any other thing on my list, then Dan brings me 3 painters to do baseboard trim, and send carpet cleaners over to do all the bedrooms and basement!!!!! So, needless to say, I've been feverishly cleaning and moving things back and forth. The bright side is I will have a really clean house! Gotta stay focused on the brights, right? Temps are in the teens, my door is propped open, and the smell of the stain is intoxicating!
affirmation - I will make it through today health goal - leave the house to get some fresh air at some point fitness goal - deep cleaning gratitude - Thankful for helpers, even if the timing isn't the best!

Good morning, all and thanks to Pat!
Suzanne, may you breathe in ease that will enable you to better deal with the IBS and furnace issue. I hope the "crummy feeling" is replaced by a sense of well-being very soon.
Lisa, kudos for going with the flow with all that is happening at your house. I'd probably be grinding my teeth right about now! But, as you said, the positive outcomes far outweigh all the little irritations.
Sending out good thoughts to Michelle and Carol!
I have an appointment with the nutritionist this afternoon and am less than thrilled that I don't have much progress to report since my last meeting with her in September. Although my motivation has been on the low side, I take some measure of comfort in knowing that I haven't disconnected altogether. Partial tracking is better than no tracking at all and daily walks have continued to an affirmation of action towards better health. So, that's where I am today...blah.
Daily Affirmation - I keep moving forward, no matter what the results. Fitness Report - Another AM walk of 10K+ steps. Health Goal - Meeting with nutritionist and an honest assessment of what I have and have not been doing. Devote time to planning more balanced meals. Gratitude - For health education resources that support improved health.
Have a good day, all!

Greetings all! Back from another grueling session at the M.O.G. Today my therapist added some fancy footwork using a stability ball that really challenges all kinds of muscles throughout the core and hips and glutes I didn't even know I had! Lisa I'm so glad you found us. Are you back from vacation? Suzanne sending hugs. A furnace is a huge undertaking, don't blame you for being stressed. Yes, I have back pain from scoliosis, and every day I juggle with whatever joint pain my RA decides to dole out. I don't think anyone can rightly say "mind over matter" is a definitive solution. I mean, you can strive to feel positive, you can take meds, you can select foods that do not aggravate whatever ails you, but at the end of the day, if you're in pain, you're in pain. I have my days where I just curl up in a ball and cry, but try my best to live most days with my eye toward the sky looking for hawks and owls, or toward the ground to spot flowers, etc. We all have to figure it out. It's tough! Anetta, good luck at the nutritionist today. I witness your affirmation to keep moving forward. Greetings to Michelle and Carol, if she finds us.
