Good Afternoon, Angels:
Welcome, Cathy! This is a great group and a small group and we always love to have more people to share with, so I'm glad you joined in. I have found it to be the one group I stuck with. Maybe its because there is a balance of all things that affect us and everyone offers lots of exercise and food tips along the way. Join us whenever you can - we'll catch your post one day or the next.
Pat, I was interested to read of your cough. Since July 3, I have had asthmatic-symptoms and a dry cough. I just don't know what is going on. Someone said there was a virus going around; and there is always allergies. Crazy! In the latter part of this past Winter, I had one instance of bronchial issues after another. One would clear up and a week later, there'd be another. It does affect how much I want to "get my heart rate up" during exercise. Thank heavens for my ProAir puffer (albuterol). It does work.

Wow! Torrential downpours here to add to the already saturated-ground. Major flooding in the area. We live up high so, other than some water in our garage (runoff from driveway, we are safe).
Affirmation: Contemplate the flowers and learn, from them, how to live. Fitness Goal: A dancer's body! (a bit antiqued, but lean and muscular nonetheless) Health Goal: Clean eating. Savor the fresh produce of Summertime. Gratitude: For the safety of my home and living high above the flooding.

Thank you for the warm welcome Daily Affirmation: Instead of "I think I can" then "I knew I could" like the little engine in the story book I will say - "I know I can stay OP today" (Saturday) : Fitness Goal or report: wasn't planning to exercise today BUT when we lost electricity I found myself putting on shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes and heading outside. I did ten laps around the house and walked 21 minutes - a bit over a mile. It has been some weeks since my last walk so will gradually increase back up to three miles as I was doing when I stopped last time. Health Goal: I have my printed tracker on the dining room table and the plan is to fill it completely hitting all the GHG's while staying within points/calories (managed that on Friday Gratitude: I am grateful for this group and the others I post on - being involved really makes a difference.
