.Minni has an orange fetch it ball she will not leave outside. She buries it in her bed and rolls over over it.
DH keeps having night time low blood sugar twice or more each night , even when glucose is ok at bedtime. turns out colonoscopy has that effect, especially on Type two people …often three days. Nobody warned us about that. That test is trouble coming and going. I hope this goes away after today. Not pushing fiber after polyp removing us not helping.
today is supposed to be only three degrees over norm at last. 110. Yesterday was 118. Some people showed thermometer on patio at 120. My two do not agree. The newer ones are cheap.

Morning All!
Emily, glad you got a chance to visit your sister yesterday. I’m sure it made both of you feel a bit better. A blood clot is a nasty thing. Talk about getting someone when she is down…. Hope she gets some relief soon. Glad you didn’t get any of the yucky air your way. We did – something about the way the winds blow back off the ocean – not that I’m that close to the ocean, who knows. It was hazy here for a good 3 days and I did feel it. Today seems so much better. I even have the deck door open letting the fresh air in… Lily is pleased with that.
Mar, think the trip through and make your decision from there. This is a volunteer job and should be enjoyable as well as beneficial. I know you will make a wise choice. The extended trip to the Florida Keys doesn’t sound too much of a hardship though… PT will probably go to the end of the month. Not a real hardship, just kind of kills any kind of momentum on any project I get started on.
Lin, funny how our dog babies pick out certain things they have an attraction for, more so than others. The princess has a Knots elephant that has definitely seen better days, but she does carry that around with her and makes sure its safe at all costs. I have to carry it upstairs to bed each night and tuck it into the side of her pillow or she will not rest easy. Funny how they have us trained.
Had a bit of an issue with the brand-new smoke detectors yesterday. Personally, I think they just hate me. The fire alarm went off 3 times late afternoon, spaced about 30 minutes apart. Everything looked fine and I went around each one with a Swiffer in case there was a spider web causing trouble. After the three times it stopped. After the Swiffer, everything calmed down, no noise. Didn’t sleep very well, I guess I was poised to be woken by their screeching. So far so good. I really hate those things……
After PT yesterday, I spent some time at the veggie store, stocking up on watermelon and produce. I splurged a bit and bought a small piece of Halibut – a favorite of mine. It was really expensive – going for over $30 a pound. That’s just crazy! At that price you almost have to hire a chef to cook it for you – so you don’t spoil the experience.
My SIL is scheduled to have her second cataract surgery on Monday and will be spending Sunday and Monday nights here with me as her doctor is close by. We are getting better at spending time together, so it will not be too painful.
Today’s project is the kitchen floor. Going to get out the floor scrubber and give it a good clean.
Oh boy!
Everyone, enjoy the day!
Dayle

Good afternoon,
Sunny day and 80, just beautiful!
Haven't heard anything about DSIS today. I'm sure the move will be made so that the hospital can charge insurance for a full day.
About half hour ago, DS Tom called. His MIL, who lives with him, fell around 3AM and is now in the hospital. I don't know what is going on this summer.
Nothing on my plate today; I'm being a bum!
Have a great day!

kids brought me home late last night. we were having a great time. DGD and rest of family came around dinner time. I am home now and DGD stopped after a little errand she had to run. Now I am driving to DD's today. Pool time and will come home after dinner tonight as the drive way gets topped tomorrow sometime and need to be here. To pay etc. They like you to check it all out when they are done. fine with me.
the weather is still really comfy but the hot is coming back all next week. 90's and possible 100's. Oh Well we are kind of getting used to it. 80 today right now. We take what we get and honestly the sky is so clear finally. very blue and no clouds at all. Lot of sun screen for the pool time.
Linda, hope that DH 's Blood sugar settles down. Did they give you paper work on the polyp removal ? they do here ! My friend has had many removed each time. One small one is usually pretty normal.
I don't have to have the colonoscopy any more. Really glad of that. old age has some perks for sure.

Hello everyone
Busy morning. Had an appointment at the bank and while there put our new passports into the safe deposit box.
Cleaned 4 window plantation shutters in the kitchen dining area. Will clean the kitchen windows this weekend. Put away miscellaneous stuff. Cleaned both bathroom counters and sinks. Slowly going through the house cleaning everything. Feels good to be working on the deep cleaning. Doing a little at a time but seems to be taking forever. lol
DD#2 schedule got changed. She leaves today for her next assignment. It’s a quick one. She is back on Wednesday.
Lin- hopefully today hubby will feel better.
Dayle- I hate when the detectors go off for no reason. Hope surgery goes well for your SIL.
Connie- you are having a great summer. So much fun.
Emily- will it be easier to visit your sister when she is moved ?

Happy Evening All!
The flight was so easy on Wednesday with no delays. I did end up getting a wheelchair at both ends because I did so much on Tuesday both my back and foot wouldn't stop screaming at me. Was a very good thing. Girlfriend met me at the airport and off to her house where she, of course, had all kinds of food waiting for the next few days. Was so good to see her.
Yesterday we went to Kohl's in the morning and I found a good, supportive pair of sketchers to wear to the reunion last night. The other two of our hot flash follies were there and there were lots of hugs and laughing. I only knew a few of the other folks who were there, but it was still fun. Golly, we have all gotten old! Interesting for sure.
Today went early - 0900 - for a wonderful massage and then we've just hung out all day watching a series on Netflix we both love. I started watching it at our neighbors' house in FL when taking care of their dogs. I don't have Netflix so this is a chance to see some more of it. Am a little panicky and there are lots more seasons, and it's only available on Netflix until Sep 3! I may have to take it for a month or so to see the rest. It's called "The Resident". Very intense.
Tomorrow we're meeting one of the other HFFrs for brunch. She's the one who takes care of her DH 24/7. Her DD is coming to watch him while she's gone. Then Sunday we're headed to the one over near PA for lunch, then Monday I fly home. Today was a much needed day of rest.
Gotta go - cheers to all.
