We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Going to go check my calendar, and I suggest you should probably all check yours too. Heck! The number of people in that meeting keeps growing to the point next thing I know I'll find out that I was in the meeting too. Everyone else seems to have been. Wouldn't be surprised now to learn it was held in Madison Square Gardens and was a sold out crowd. Oh Jr you really screwed up! BBL . . .

JA wants the RNC to pay for his legal fees with all things connected with Russia...so, do you think , NOW, the GOP leadership will think Impeachment is the way to go? ?....After all, it usually all comes down to the almighty dollar. Can you imagine what JA & everyone else who has to lawyer up because of his lies, his families lies etc is going to cost!?!?!?.....Also read Pence is distancing himself, finding his own political donors, etc. I think he sees the writing on the wall or else back room dealing going on to get JA out & Pence will step up. Of, course, IMHO, he is complicit with this Russia business too since he was leading the Transition team. He knows lots more than he is saying. ......And so the soap opera continues. UGH!

I think I know what happened. When he said 'great' he meant 'grate.' He was going to make America grate. Grate means to make an unpleasant rasping sound or to have an irritating effect. So, he actually has made America grate and continues to do so.

I agree that Pence knows a lot more than he is saying. I really hope that eventually the entire truth about this whole situation will become public. I think Jeff Sessions knows a lot too. He's already lied about his contacts. Sooner or later, someone is going to be offered a good enough deal that they're going to spill the beans. I just hope when they do that everyone involved is brought out into the sunlight.
The RNC would be crazy to agree to pay JA's legal fees, but they may just be crazy enough to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if there's not something on some people there as well just waiting to be revealed.

Pathetic losers that they are, JA's supporters are trying to spin this as all being a plot by Hillary and the DNC. If they manage to make anybody other than the brainwashed few believe that, I've got some straw I'd like them to spin into gold for me. Even Faux News hosts are starting to ask questions about why JA and friends keep lying. When they start asking questions, you know it's going to be lights out.

" Even Faux News hosts are starting to ask questions about why JA and friends keep lying."
Because that's what liars do. They lie. They lie with a straight face. They've lied so much during their lives it's easy and natural for them. They know they're liars and cheaters. They know they're guilty of wrong doings so why not just lie about it? Hillary is correct. They are deplorable people. If lying doesn't work they'll start crying about being picked on, treated unfairly, and pointing their finger at other people. For a liar anything, anything at all, is better than the truth. Even violence. That's the part that worries me the most.
This is like picking up a rock, holding it up to the light, and seeing all those bugs that live under there scattering to get out of the light and back to the dark place they call home.
When I was a little girl I had a cross my Aunt Pauline gave me. I loved my Aunt Pauline so much. I always kept it in a little box on my dresser. One day I couldn't find it. I asked my good sister if she saw it and she didn't. I found my other sister to ask her about it and the cross was around her neck! Brazen! I asked her why she took my cross. She said it was hers. I asked her if it was hers where did she get it? Caught in that tangled web of lying she blurts out, "I was born with it around my neck!"
Liars never stop lying. It's a lifestyle.

Joyce from your lips to the Goddess ear.
That whole family is such an embarrassment and they just don't get it, neither do the nodding sycophants he has in his Cabinet. Anyway we look at it when JA is finally out of office there will be a mess to clean up.
Has Dumphy done one good thing for the common man, woman or child in this country?

Sounds like a plan Anne! I'll have the sweet tea, fried catfish, and pulled pork bar-b-que ready and waiting. "They've lied so much during their lives it's easy and natural for them."- Pat I think that's the problem for them now. Every time they open their mouths a lie comes out, and they are in such a habit of it that they don't take time to think about the lie before it starts spilling out. Then the next lie doesn't conform to the first one, and their web of deceit just becomes more and more tangled.

New Documents Just Revealed Trump Jr.’s Disturbing Legal Scheme For Russia Meeting BY SHEILA NORTON POLITICS | PUBLISHED ON JULY 15, 2017
With ample evidence of Donald Trump Jr.’s attempts to collude with a hostile foreign power to help his father’s presidential campaign, it is no surprise that the First Son has already lawyered up. What is turning heads however are the circumstances surrounding the legal fees.
FEC documents filed today by President Trump’s reelection campaign show that the campaign paid $50,000 to the law offices of Alan Futerfas, the lawyer representing Trump Jr. in his Russian collusion scandal. The expenditure to Fuertas, who has built a reputation defending New York mobsters, was made on June 26, 15 days before his emails setting up the meeting were made public.
It seems that even as they were forgetting countless encounters with Russian operatives, Trump’s lackeys remembered to retain legal counsel and even had the wherewithal to stick the campaign’s donors with the bill.
The legal bills don’t stop there either. Of the $4.3 million spent by the Trump campaign in the second quarter of 2017, 15% went toward legal fees.
In classic Trump fashion, the president even figured out how to turn his mounting legal feels and scandal-plagued administration into a personal profit. Among the more than $600,000 in legal expenditures, $90,000 were paid to the Trump Organization itself on June 14.
This fits with the millions Trump has paid his company from his campaign over the last two years, but legal services appear to be a new mechanism for lining his own pockets with his donors’ cash.
With each passing day, the Trumps seem to be having increased trouble getting their stories straight. One needn’t be guilty to seek representation when accused of a crime, but why would an innocent man hire a criminal defense lawyer before being accused?
Add this to the growing list of questions the Trumps will have to answer if Republicans in Washington ever gain the courage to do their jobs. The writing is on the wall, and if our elected representatives don’t start to read it fast, the American people will elect a Congress that will.

You can always count on the JA to come up with a way to make money off selling the country down the drain. Wouldn't be surprised if he sold hats and T-shirts at his impeachment hearings. Next thing you know, he will be sending out mailings asking those idiots who voted for him to send in $10, $20, etc to pay for his legal fees, and what's even worse, they'll probably do it while he's taking away their healthcare and leaving them with no safety net.
