Our spur-of-the-moment Florida trip enabled us to have an extended visit w/ our nephew, his wife, and fur babies. Enjoyed our time them. We had safe travels along the roughly 1000 miles that separate us. We saw manatees at Blue Springs Park. That was something unique. My clothes tell me that a healthier routine will serve me well. Am ready for a slow day after being in the car for 16 hours yesterday. I wanted to take advantage of dry roads & light traffic patterns. Nice to visit, nice to be home. Missed all of you! I waved enthusiastically as we drove near Columbia, SC in your direction, LaDonna. If we ever plan a southern sweep at a slower pace, I definitely would love to meet for a cup of tea/coffee. June, what a wonderful opportunity to catch up with family as well as a well needed vacation for you and your husband. When do you return to work?

Hi all Well back to the old grind. Enjoyed the holidays but glad to be back on normal schedule. I managed to maintain over the holidays and look forward to getting back in WW/OP full swing! Today has been OP for breakfast and lunch so far. Not sure about dinner yet. Audrey, that skinny taste chicken sure sounds good. I am going to look in to that. Naomi, yes! plenty of vegs will be on my plate today too! Bee, Good job with the water. I MUST do better in that department. Susi, so sorry that cold is still lingering around. Have you taken an antibiotic? you may need one if you haven't. Ann, I don't frequent the library as much as I used to due to having a Kindle but I LOVE to go in and browse around when I have a chance. Enjoy your day. MJ, glad to hear yall got some much deserved rest. June, glad you make it back safe and sound! please let me know when you are in my area again! would love to visit with you! That goes for the rest of you, too! Pam, enjoy lunch with your mom..sounds fun:)

It is noon and I packed up all the decorations and swept up the needles from the fake tree. I tracked yesterday and will do so today. Suggested to DH he drink a good beer with the chili tonight so I can drink water. I may have a glad of San Pelligrino and then regular ice water this afternoon I must go through the huge mail pile and after I put things back on the tables I will reread the Christmas cards while I watch the Rose Bowl. I totally get repurposing meat. Leftover prime rib is in the freezer. DH is having the Italian meats for lunches. He bought me two cooked chicken feasts from the grocery store which will make 3-4 good lunchess. I am glad we here are all on the same page. Such great support.

Welcome back June! Enjoy lunch with mom, Pam. Yes, we all had our moments over the holidays and will all benefit from a return to normal. Not likely to be more than a cold - no fever, mostly between the nose and very upper chest.
I am currently prepping a breakfast casserole from Sparkspeople. It requires a lot of prep, but it's 8 servings so it's worth it. Thanks to modifications, it's only 3 SP or 200 cal.

LaDonna, I usually take out cookbooks from the library as I have a kindle as well. They were closed today. Should have realized that, but being retired I forgot all about the holiday falling on a Sunday.
Susi I forgot all about spark people and their recipes. I used to enjoy their site.
Audrey your DH is a keeper. He does give great support.
Well, time for me to unwind. Talk tomorrow.
