Good Morning I am staying home today to finish packing decorations DH will take yo the mini storage. It takes a lot of time to make sure nothing will break. Then I'll put back the breakable. I've been walking daily and need to add cardio or take a second walk in the afternoon. I need to find time for some yard work this week and help DH cataloging new wine. I'm going to make Skinnytaste barbecue chicken chili for dinner. Have a good day.

Morning Audrey and Naomi,
I, like Naomi, am trying to lose yesterday --- after pancakes and bacon with the great -grands, I had lunch with them, grilled cheese and veggie soup. I did pass on venison osso buco for supper at their house.
Audrey, sounds like you have a full day planned.
Naomi, you are right, 'this is your journey and you have this.'
How - water, water, water --- sung to a congo beat ...
Hope AWF have a great day!

Good morning Audrey, Naomi, Bee and all who follow. You are very busy today Audrey. The chili sounds good. Yes, you have got this Naomi! At least you had a good time. Bee - oh, venison. Don't know if I could have passed on that. It's so hard to get venison here and none of my friends are hunters. Well, I was under points and under calories yesterday but the ham and cheeses = salt bomb. My ring is tight and the scale is up. Lots and lots of water today. Stayed in bed this morning. This is the cold that never ends and it's worse than last week. I'll still walk Charlie and get to the gym. Later on I will make a breakfast casserole that I can alternate this week with the sweet potato egg boats.

Good morning Audrey Naomi Bee and AWF.
Audrey I love that skinny taste BBQ chili. Hope nothing breaks while putting away the ornaments.
Naomi I'll join you on fully getting back OP. Picked up the fruits/veggies yesterday so I have NO excuse!
LOL Bee I'll sing water water water to the congo beat as well.
Nothing much on our agenda for today. Just wrote out bills so will be mailing those later. Maybe a trip to our library.
Have a great day all!

Good morning, all!
<waving> to June... missing you... hope you'll be back to posting soon...
We spent a LONG afternoon at the MousekeHouse with all the Big'Uns and the Littl'Uns. We were exhausted when we finally got home after 8 PM (in time to watch the Packers game; we'd watched the Giants game over there). One more big gathering next Saturday at The Plantation and we can put the hollyDAZE to bed for another year. Today is the NINTH Day of Christmas...
And today we slept in - me until 6:30 AM and Toots until 7:30. He says that he slept well, which is a blessing; his cough tends to wake him at least once during the night. The rest of this DayJob holiday? Wegmans for eggs (can't beat the price) and hummus and organic chicken sausage, Home Depot for a small submersible pump since he has to return the one we've been using in the basement so they can clean a tuba. And then just lazing around and making sure that all the bits are lined up for the rest of the week.
WHAT: We brought home some leftovers from N*Y*D - baby back ribs and chicken. Sooo tempting to nibble at them until they're gone...
HOW: We brought the meats home to repurpose them into dinner meals for the next two days - NOT for mindless munching, no matter how much <er> fun that can be.
MUST make my planned/tracked bkfst (reading all y'all's meal plans is making my stomach growl) and get started on the day. Have a healthy-eating one, all!

Hello, hello, hello...... belated happy new year!!
Audrey-,thanks for hosting this morning! What a great plan you have for today as you "pack up" the holidays. Hope that you get everything safely stored & can "tuck in" to some fantastic chili.
Naomi- please scoot over so that I can join you on that wagon. Yee-haw... we are off! I already have a lean pot roast w/ vegetables in the crock pot for dinner. What's your rainy day menu?
Bee- nice that you could enjoy lunch w/ the grands, Yummmm.... grilled cheese sandwiches are the best. Ha ha ha .... we can ride that wagon and periodically stop for a Congo line dance for water.
Ann-- we all are on the same wavelengths-- pack away the Xmas season, cherish the memories we made, and resume our "normals."
Mj--hope that Toots soon feels better. Holidaze. Seems like the perfect word. We are repurposing leftovers from our Florida trip, too. Mindful eating is a good way to start this post holiday week. We, too, have some chicken that wants to become lunch.
Susi-- oh no.. don't like hearing that you are still under the weather. Could you have bronchitis? I ask because I have had bilateral bronchitis heading to pnemunoia-- more than once--and was sure it was just a cold. Take care, my friend.
Have a relaxing, healthier day, my friends!!

Our spur-of-the-moment Florida trip enabled us to have an extended visit w/ our nephew, his wife, and fur babies. Enjoyed our time them. We had safe travels along the roughly 1000 miles that separate us. We saw manatees at Blue Springs Park. That was something unique. My clothes tell me that a healthier routine will serve me well. Am ready for a slow day after being in the car for 16 hours yesterday. I wanted to take advantage of dry roads & light traffic patterns. Nice to visit, nice to be home.
Missed all of you! I waved enthusiastically as we drove near Columbia, SC in your direction, LaDonna. If we ever plan a southern sweep at a slower pace, I definitely would love to meet for a cup of tea/coffee.
