Good morning everyone! It is so awesome to be greeted with all the enthusiasm in here as we strive for healthier lifestyles.
I loved your post from yesterday Michelle. Yep, WW does work. I need my meeting to keep me strong and focused, and love my leader and seeing "the gang" on Saturday mornings. I look forward to reading about Beck - I remember that plan was very popular back on the old boards.
Cathy I love that Ghandi passage - it is always worth remembering. Ah that demon cheese. I was a real pizza addict before learning gluten was destroying my body. You can get back to goal!
Good morning Lisa, Suzanne and all the gang.
Yesterday was my first day on "Easing Into Eat to Live." Here goes (mostly for my accountability):
Breakfast - green tea, 2 slices gluten free cinnamon raisin toast - easy on the cream cheese (I have to get rid of it LOL and it was Monday morning.)
A.M. snack - breakfast left me hungry: 1 cup of mixed melons and pineapple.
Lunch: Large salad with a little feta cheese (yep it's got to go).
Dinner: Sauted a large pan of veggies, one can salt-free stewed tomatoes, 3/4 the usual amount of pasta. No Parmesan for me and topped DH's with shredded rotisserie chicken.
No after dinner snacks. No wine.
Affirmation - everything we need is out there, we just need to seek it.
Fitness Report - Margaret for chest, biceps, deltoids, hamstrings and glutes.
Health Goal - cull out more non-program foods and add more on-program foods.
Gratitude - working in an air conditioned office!

Accountability! That's key! Here goes: banana, strawberry, pineapple protien shake kale salad with almonds, orange, gr onion and ginger vinaigrette 2 small tacos, half cup refried beans with cheese (ug) Several glasses of water
I agree, I need to work on cheese, too. love it!
affirmation : I am what I think I am health goal : shop and food prep fitness goal : weights , yes I was supposed to do this yesterday, remember? Got caught up in a design, NO MORE EXCUSES! gratitude : The ability to jump back on the horse no matter how many times I fall off.

Daily Affirmation: Everything we need is out there, we just need to seek it. (Thank you, Pat)
Fitness report: tree-moving. Or, more specifically, rootball-shuffling. (new tree-planting)
Health Goal: With each day, replace one less-friendly food with a more-friendly food. Baby steps will get me there too. Before I know it, I won't be dragging behind the wagon; I'll be on it!
Gratitude: For the ability to jump back on the horse no matter how many times I fall off. (Thank you, Lisa)

Good Afternoon, Dear Ones!
The 'Eat to Live' plan sounds really interesting! I will look into it....I've been "trying" to be more plant-based, unprocessed, etc. but haven't set specific goals...and we know how THAT tends to go. My strategy has been to buy some veg-friendly foods so they are in my face, LOL. But I still need to plan ahead, otherwise I fall into old habits.
Daily Affirmation- I see the beauty all around Fitness report - Zumba Health Goal - mindful food choices Gratitude - good health checkup for my sweetie (& I love Lisa's gratitude, too!)

Daily Affirmation: I am a work in progress. I will make wise moderate choices at lunch today Fitness Goal: or report: nothing to report - did do laundry and carry the loads up and down the stairs and go out to feed the ducks a couple of times. Health Goal: today is Wednesday with friends - avoiding the high calories nibbles (nuts & chips) and having moderate portions at lunch is my goal Gratitude: fans and ac in summer - and the electricity to run them!
