The Mind🌴Body🌴Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:
Daily Affirmation
Fitness Goal or report
Health Goal
Gratitude

Thank you for the support with my menus everyone. Hope you don't mind! Oddly I'm starting to feel bloated and gained 2.5 pounds. The folks on the Facebook support group assured me that is normal, and to drink lots of water. Cathy, millet is a nice little gluten free seed/grain. High in protein. Word of caution - when you try your quinoa, be sure to rinse it well in a fine mesh strainer. It has a coating on it called saponin which is its natural way of protecting itself from being eaten by animals. Day 3 menu: B - oatmeal with blueberries and strawberries, a little almond milk, no sweetener. MS - not needed - full! L - humongous salad, a blend of a fresh tossed salad, some chopped apple, and leftover black bean, corn, cucumber and tomato salad with salsa. AS - mixed nuts .... mmm, someone on the support group suggested I may be eating too many nuts - and they're right. o) D - large salad at The 99 topped with grilled chicken, strawberries and blueberries; hold the cheese; large club soda.
Daily Affirmation - today I will keep my why close by. Fitness Report - nothing formal, just my morning stretches and meditation. DH wanted to eat in air conditioning. Health Goal - be a good girl at office lunch this afternoon - not even craving French fries!!! Gratitude - feeling happy this morning.

And still, after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with love like that. It lights up the sky. ~Hafiz
Daily Affirmation: I release anger and embrace kind attention (Thanks, Carol!)
Fitness Goal (mental fitness) - find 5 more homeless objects (clutter) and put them away.
Health Goal I embrace this opportunity to be better than I was yesterday. I take responsibility for my choices today and always. (Thanks, Cathy!)
Gratitude: For yesterday. And today. I feel like a newly-empowered soul.

Pat: What was in that salad besides apple, tuna, and greens? Any "dressing" of sorts?
Cathy: I allow myself what I call 'splurges' now and then. It worked for me, I lost almost 50 pounds from March to October of last year (until a health problem influenced my food options. Turns out that was a wrong diagnosis.) Count the points you ate, as best you can, and stay the course (the WW course).
I discovered I could go back in my WW online log and see my daily eating logs from more than a year ago. All of those foods worked for me! My pantry and frig are restocked with healthy foods. It feels so good to be back on the plan!
Lisa: Did you start reading the Tao of Nutrition? Yours arriving inspired me to restart mine. I'm treating the size of the Aralia as a 'shrub'. I have a spot beneath mature locust trees where I have nothing sizable growing - only low-growing perennials. If the Aralia, indeed, gets to be 3-4', I'll be surprised. The lime-coloring will play nicely in the dappled shade of that garden bed.
Carol: Jazz dance to Michael Bublé? You are so lucky! Where are you getting these classes? I assume you got some of this afternoon's torrential downpours?
Sending some rain to Michelle to dampen the wildfires!
Peace, Suzanne
