Lori, it's a good way to start 2017! I need a fresh outlook myself.
Debbie, that's great you got a good walk in with DH.
Virginia, how was the turkey chili? I should make some.

Ran this morning 67 minutes in sleet/rain. Proper gear and not slippery. Hot coffee tasted so good afterwards.

Hot coffee tastes even better when you never leave the house, Clara. βΊοΈ
Big exciting errand on tap today. The shower head broke when Cecilia was trying to take a shower yesterday. Yet another reason for me not to engage in exercise.
Resume is "done" and I'm sending it off to my former boss to sniff it for BS. He's a reference, so I don't want to claim more than I did.

Happy New Year to all. Saturday morning my 7 year old water heater died (only 6 year warranty). I didn't want to wait until Monday for hot water so I called a local company. They are excellent but expensive. After a 15% customer discount and 125$ coupon it was 1500 with only 1 year labor warranty. Yikes I should have been a plumber. Vicki

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Brenda. I love my DVDs when the weather is yucky. It was foggy and rainy when I got up this morning. Perfect for WATP! Thanks, the turkey chili was good and there are leftovers for a couple of meals. DH is pretty happy about having those heat & eat options.
Hi, Clare. You earned that coffee and then some. I'm glad you had safe footing. Do you have YakTraks or something similar that you put on your shoes?
Hi, Lou. Happy plumbing adventure to you. I think that is a great idea to have someone else vet the resume. I remember an interview that we did with a candidate that looked to be perfect per the resume we received. It didn't hold up under the interview, though.
Hi, Vicki. Well, your plumbing adventure was a lot more extensive and $$ than Lou's. I would also not have been inclined to wait for an additional two days for hot water.
Hi, Debbie. Thanks, I do wish that the migraines would remain at bay. I have learned that some things are nearly 100% sure to bring one on, but many times there seems to be no clear cause or it is due to barometric pressure.
Waving hi to Lori.
It was a nice, quiet day yesterday. I enjoyed my Starbucks but had to wait entirely too long for it. I think I came in on the tail end of a rush, plus it seemed to be nearly a 100% crew of newbies. I am glad that I wasn't in a hurry.
Today is P/T appt, P/T workout and a funeral home visitation in between the appointments. It will be a quiet evening at home getting ready for the work week once the P/T workout is complete.
INTRO: I'm Ginia (Virginia), 56 y/o with DH, 2 DS, 1 DDIL, 1 DGD and 1 DGranddog. IT professional, love to spend time with family and friends, walk, read and stay fit. LT since 2002.
Happy Monday, Ginia

Hi. Brenda - thanks for the start. Which DVD did you do? I love that option but do better going to the gym. No distractions. Clara - a hot drink after being out in the cold is delicious. I carry hot tea with me on snowshoes. Louis - I hope the plumbing gets done with no glitches. The resume is ready, great. Employers will be ringing soon. Vicki - what a rotten time of year for the water heater is go out. Any prices is worth hot water in the winter. Virginia - you packed in a lot for your day off. I hope PT was helpful and PT didn't hurt to much.
Today was work then gym. Today is DH birthday, he is in Blackhawk playing poker for the day. DD and her boyfriend should be coming over for cheesecake this evening.
I'm Debbie, 61, married 30 years, one DS 28 and one DD 27. I love reading, sewing and playing in the Rocky Mountains.
