Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends

Good Morning ROs...had a pretty restful night. I am heading to the gym...DH was going to go too but he is a little apprehensive with the rain...I may take him later and ride the bike and read (since I am going to a class this morning). I am guessing that some of you have today off so enjoy it! I am so mad at myself... I thought I was making a decent start yesterday, but ended up GAINING... I ask myself how is that possible until I review what I ate...OK today I am tracking !!! I was so sure I would never let this happen again...stopping it now before it gets any worse.
Jana - your FB pic gives us all hope...you have accomplished so much in the last year.

Good morning friends,
DH and I are both off today and hoping to have a quiet and relaxing day. We do need to make a grocery store run (wishing now that I'd done that yesterday), but it should be a short trip. My list is pretty much already made and I only have to hit a few departments = produce, meat, and the dairy dept for eggs and cottage cheese. Only items that support my goals.

Good morning, all. Wow, Susie thanks for mentioning Jana's pic on FB. I went and took a look and she looks amazing. Like all the before and after pix on Connect, only with her I feel the personal connection. Truly an inspiration.
Lora, that sounds like an easy shopping trip. Glad you have the day off today. How's your ankle this morning?
I'm back from an early walk with my DS and my niece's "boyfriend." I put that in quotes because he is nearer my sister's age than my niece's. By a lot. Nice guy though and we had a pleasant time. Hanging out for a bit in our unit, looking out at the turquoise Caribbean as i write all of you, no special plans today. We go home the day after tomorrow so I want to maximize my time here with extra rest and relaxation. Ha!
Have a great day ROs.

Susie, glad you got out to the gym, I know the weather is bad around the country today because they were just talking about all the airport delays and how packed every flight is. It was raining here during the night and is supposed to rain all day, but was barely drizzling when I went out this morning.
Lora, have a restful day. I also didn't buy the various snack foods when I did my shopping. A few of the best places for me to get produce are very close to my house, or maybe I should say the cheapest, so if I run out during the week it is OK. Another thing I am going to try to do is make sure I prep some of them, like cut up my damn cantalope! It takes a few minutes, but sometimes they sit and I don't do them.
Andi, one of my cousins married someone 30 years ago that was almost as old as her father, and they are still married and happy. I also have a friend who is only 57, but her 2nd husband just turned 90. Her first husband died of melanoma when he was 47, so when we were all skeptical, she said there were no guarantees no matter how old the person is. My DBIL's sister has been with her "boyfriend", not sure if they ever got married, who is probably close to 20 years older than her, since before my sister got married, and I think she has been married about 35 years, maybe even a few more. My DB & DS are similar to me, very long marriages. I am 42, my DB is 40. I really hope you enjoy your last few days in the sun, it must be so glorious there. Very relaxing I am sure. It is great that you all get along.
I got a very late start today, couldn't fall asleep last night, and finally got up at 9:30. did a quick dog walk because there was a break from the rain. I would like to get over to Macy's for a few things, so have to go dig out my coupons and get dressed. Maybe have another cup of coffee before I go. I had a nice breakfast. There is a pancake/waffle mix called Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes. 1/2 cup mix is 5 points. That made 1 waffle, so I had that with the sugar free syrup, and it is very filling. DH has been wanting waffles. He is trying to eat cleaner, watching sugary snacks and carbs. This is a high fibre mix. We are in "shredding for the wedding" mode, as my DS's girlfriend calls it. I think we are going to have a family contest, but have to decide how to do it. The bride needs the least, and she really doesn't need to lose at all frankly, but she is very short, so a few pounds on her makes a difference.

Hey everyone and Happy New Year!
Yesterday was pretty relaxing - I updated my calendars, finished a puzzle, etc. I went to bed later than I planned (but I really wanted to finish the puzzle) and had a stiff neck and back from leaning over the puzzle. Had the best intentions of getting up early to start cleaning today but I just felt like I needed the sleep. Got up and went through my closet - I have almost a trash bag full of clothes to get over to Goodwill tomorrow. I'm not going back to work until Thursday so I am hoping to clean a lot today and tomorrow and then relax and read on Wednesday.
I hope everyone gets to relax a bit today. :-)

Good evening and HAPPY NEW YEAR all!
Thanks for the comments about my FB picture. I ran across the first picture in my FB memories and showed DH and he told me I should do the comparison to this year's NYE picture. Sometimes it is so hard to believe. I don't think I ever truly realized how large I had gotten. I think I was in total denial about it. Then the odd thing is - now I don't feel small. It is so hard to explain. I haven't ever truly felt huge but when I look at other women I always feel like I am bigger than they are.
We have had a great weekend together. We spent Friday night at DSS house celebrating his birthday. Saturday morning we did our Saturday ritual of having breakfast with friends, ran a quick errand and headed out of town. Saturday night we went to a NYE party with friends and I danced the night away. Since we were staying in a hotel we splurged and spent Sunday night out of town as well. We slept in late - when out to watch football and then got back and just laid around the hotel. (I asked DH if he would mind terribly if I took my ipad to the restaurant and read while he watched football and he was fine with that) All in all it was a pretty great weekend.
My stomach is very inflamed and angry with me at the moment, too many of the wrong kinds of food and too much alcohol. I am getting back on track right now. Counting calories and for the next week I will be on a bland diet to calm my tummy down. DH and I have signed up for a 10K on April 1st so we are starting the training for that as well. (we are walkers, we will not run it).
I hope you all had an amazing New Year.
Thank you all for being my inspiration and support that I continue to need. I could never have come so far without all of you. I also appreciate that we support each other regardless of which tool we choose to use.

Andi - sounds like you are having a great time. I am jealous of your sunshine and warm weather. I wish you could bottle it and send me some Oh I am going by the apartment tomorrow and giving them the application for my parents. Fingers crossed that their application gets accepted. This would be the best possible scenario for them.

Well the rain got worse so DH did not get to the gym...he sat in the car while I ran a couple of errands and then we came home and he used the free weights I have here. Tomorrow I will take him to PT and then I will head to tapdancing and then back to PT to pick him up. I am glad that I do not have Spanish tomorrow... it will give me another week to ease back into the routine. So far I am doing OK with eating today...hope I can follow through with the plan this evening!!!!!
I scheduled my flight to Spain today! YIPPEE - I am so excited and scared at the same time - I have only flown once alone and never internationally alone! I got off the phone with the airlines and sat and cried! I may NOT even be able to go - we will have to see how DH is doing by then. He said today that he is totally dependent upon me for toileting, showering, etc. We have 3 months for him to show some amazing improvements and even then I will have to have someone come in and check on him (DS and DDIL can do that unless he still needs more help -then I will have to hire a nurse or just not go...we will see what happens).

Susie, I really hope you get to go to Spain. How long are you planning to go for?
Jana, I know what you mean about not realizing how big you had gotten. I know how easy it is to think you look cute in an outfit, look at a picture and think there is something wrong with the way they took it, until you lose the weight and realize that you really did look that big.
What I really needed to get today was bras, I am sure it may also be your least favorite thing to shop for too. After trying on at least 25, I decided that the Wacoal were really worth the extra money. Of course no coupon allowed. One was on sale, the other 2 not. However, I started googling while I was on line. I found the 2 that were not on sale for a lot less, one even in the color I really wanted, so didn't take those 2, went home, and ordered them, even with free shipping for each. One directly from the website of the manufacturer. I am sure the stores hate that, but it was pretty busy there.

Hi Everyone, I got to the gym this morning to the zumba in the studio. The instructor who was scheduled didn't show up again. Another instructor did it. I am not sure if she is one of the regular instructors or not as I have not met all of the ones listed. She moved kind of fast though and I think people had a harder time following her. I did at times. I think I am improving my stamina some and my knees and back don't hurt like they had been like they had been at some of the earlier classes. I went shopping for my friend. They usually give me about $5.00 just for gas and my time. Well, twice this week and last week she didn't have any money. Her husband usually gives it to her to give to me. Well, that kind of bothered me really because I didn't really have to go to that store to get what I needed and he knew I was going to go shopping for them so it's like he is taking advantage when he knows he usually gives me some money and he didn't leave it both today and last week. I got it from last week on Saturday but to do it again. I told her when I called her to check about an item that I didn't know if I would go shopping any more if he was going to do that each time. She found some money at home and hoped I'd do it again. I will see. I made some cornflake chicken for dinner and I think a yam. I thought it was a sweet potato but it might not have been. I made one of the 4 pieces a bit different, just adding some salt, pepper and some garlic. I want to use it to make a chicken taco. I'm not really what spice to use but the prepared grilled chicken is way expensive. Last week I bought this other grilled chicken at Target as it was cheaper but I didn't like it at all and didn't even finish it. So I thought as long as I was making the corn flake chicken I'd try cooking my own. Any ideas on spices to try using next time would be appreciated. I haven't tried it yet with the tacos yet. Maybe tommorow night. Ok, good night.
