The jamescat photo is one of the few small enough for my profile pic. I really want to post a pic of myself because I look nothing like him. These computer skills are limited with me. Last night I downloaded a photo program but I was lost. Help please

jamescat1, I am not on an iMac just an iPad. Can you not click on the pic and just crop it? That little thing that looks like a box with arrows, just click on that and drag the arrows in then save it. Hopefully someone has an iMac can help out maybe ksbruns? She is our resident iMac photo guru 😉

jamescat1, Audrey, if you click on your photo (in Photos, I presume!), go to File/Export/Export 1 photo...then you can change the size of the photo....changing to large has always worked for me. Good luck! DebDoesWW, always excited to be a guru!

ksbruns I feel like such a dunce. Where am I supposed to see File/Export/export 1 photo in my iPhotos? I could easily change pics on the old boards and don't even know how jamescat had the right size. I am still missing something. My husband uses a PC and my son is not nearby. I will have him talk me into how to do it over the phone.

The file menu is one of the listings on the upper left top of your screen. It'll be Photos in the left corner, and the next word to the right is File. Then Export is in the drop-down menu, export 1 photo is in that menu, they all just lead to the next....
No dunce, we all have different interests. I don't have any plants, LOL!

Geez they make it hard to shrink photos on an iMac. Do you have an iPhone Audrey? Might be more like the iPad, much easier to do.

I will try. I can hit file and then export and then nothing happens. Not sure why. On the phone it says to use a non mobile version to customize settings

Dang, was hoping that would work. Wait, is that through tapatalk? Did you try going to the actual website? *paging guru ksbruns * can you tell Audrey what the next step is please? Found this online Audrey, not sure if it is what Kathy was talking about but sounds like it. To resize a photo in iPhoto '11, select the photo or photos you want to adjust and click on the File button from from menu bar. Then choose Export or hit Command-Shift-E. In the Export window, choose File Export, which lets you adjust the size of the image. Your options are small, medium, large, and full-size.Jul 5, 2011" So the file export button should be bringing up a selection for you, but you aren't seeing that,,,,hm. maybe this will help, support.apple.com/kb/PH20229?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US

DebDoesWW, I will try it this afternoon. My son is so busy that this isn't a good time for him to come to the house. I changed my Connect photo in seconds....
