I haven't done Weight Watchers since fall 2014. Has the material changed? I am not sure if I want to go to meetings and just do online. I didn't enjoy the meetings last time I went, the discussions were not helpful. I prefer practical advice, recipes etc to the touchy-feely appraoach. Is the meeting material any better now? I am considering going to a few meetings to get the recent material and then only online. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi susieaz , I think the key to success with meeting is a great leader. The current program is Smart Points. I think fall of 2014 was still Points Plus, but I could be mistaken. Feel free to post this question on the general board where it tends to get a bit more action Some of the meetings have gone towards member-driven, I am lucky enough that my leader is old school, our group was not fond of the "touchy feely" approach 🤣 Personally I think your plan is a good one, check out a few meetings, if it doesn't work out, go with online then come here for support, this group is amazing! Best of luck, hope to see you around 😊

I agree that the choice of leader is key. The meetings have changed some since that time. When I was there in 2014, a lot of meeting had a canned presentation on the monitor and most of the meeting was spent on that. That has gone by the wayside and it seems the leaders have more freedom what is talked about. There is usually some discussion of what is in the weekly but it seems better now. I have a really good leader though so I know that helps.
