Suffolk County Police Department told the Thug In Chief they have their own rules about how to treat a suspect. The thug told the cops to smash the suspects head against the squad car. SCPD quickly responded by telling the Thug In Chief they have their own rules and unnecessary force will not be tolerated.
Just what the police, as well as the rest of us, need these days. One more violent lunatic encouraging the police to use deadly force against those they are being paid to protect and serve. Oh goodie.
Too bad the JA isn't a comedian. If so, people would be horrified and outraged and calling for him to be banned.
One deadly and violent gang is enough for me! I don't want or need another gang of vicious thugs in our streets. Especially if they're all wearing a police badge.

Conservative Columnist and former Reagan Speech Writer, Peggy Noonan column so worth a boiled down print out -
The president’s primary problem as a leader is not that he is impetuous, brash or naive. It’s not that he is inexperienced, crude, an outsider. It is that he is weak and sniveling. It is that he undermines himself almost daily by ignoring traditional norms and forms of American masculinity.
He’s not strong and self-controlled, not cool and tough, not low-key and determined; he’s whiny, weepy and self-pitying. He throws himself, sobbing, on the body politic. He’s a drama queen.
His public brutalizing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions isn’t strong, cool and deadly; it’s limp, lame and blubbery.
His inability—not his refusal, but his inability—to embrace the public and rhetorical role of the presidency consistently and constructively is weak.
It’s all nonstop drama and queen-for-a-day inside this hothouse of a White House.
Meanwhile the whole world is watching, a world that contains predators. How could they not be seeing this weakness, confusion and chaos and thinking it’s a good time to cause some trouble?

Thanks Pam! Peggy Noonan pretty much nailed the characteristics of the JA, and it especially interested me that she is very much a conservative. So do those people who consider themselves conservative and yet are diehard fans of the JA actually read or listen to knowledgeable conservatives? She is not a lone voice in the wilderness. There are multiple others out there also issuing warnings. Please Rs, wake up and listen to those from your own party who are sounding a warning bell. One thing is for sure, if those predators strike because of the chaos no one can say we were not warned. We were warned all through the campaign, but many ignored the warning. You can't put a madman in the WH, and expect a good, safe outcome.
As for his urging police to be more brutal, that is just disgusting. Overall I think most police officers do a good job under extremely difficult circumstances. They put their lives on the line every time they report for work. There are a few rotten apples in the barrel, and just like with any other profession those need to be weeded out. But the overall majority, I believe are not the ones depicted on the news broadcasts. Those dedicated officers do not want more brutality. They understand it is wrong. That's not who they are or who they want to be, and no sane person wants that to become what being a police officer is all about. So I'm glad to see them speaking out against the JA's remarks and exhortation to them for more violence. He has no regard for them whatsoever. To him it's like playing a game, and he enjoys talking brutishly tough.
DH and I went to see Dunkirk last night. Lots of good reviews, but I must say neither of us cared for it. We left half way through. Normally even with a war movie I can follow the story line, but I was thoroughly confused all the way through here. Have any of you seen it? If so who the heck was the survivor picked up at sea? He's talking about going "back." So was it in flashbacks, and he's one of the two young men focused on and shown trying to get off the beach? Anyway, I gave up on it.
What I did like was the preview of the new Al Gore documentary about global warming. I want to try and see that.

"The only Washington insider remaining in Trump's inner circle is Kellyanne Conway, a pollster-turned-strategist with close ties to Vice President Mike Pence. Aside from Conway, the Trump inner circle is composed of family (Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner) and political outsiders (Steve Bannon and Scaramucci)."
"And so, Kelly is in, Priebus is out. Scaramucci is in, Spicer is out. New York -- and Trump's family -- is ascendant."
"Trump is free to be Trump. Get ready." -- Chris Cillizza

"Lots of good reviews, but I must say neither of us cared for it." Joyce, I never pay attention to reviews. Never! Critics have personal likes and dislikes. I've seen movies that I loved and it got terrible reviews. I've seen movies that I thought were disgusting and gross and they got wonderful reviews. Everyone has a personal opinion that can show up in what they write or say. I think people really do want to be fair and not judge others. But humans can be extremely judgmental. Even movie critics. lol. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. I love a good story but I'm tired of war and killing already.

Haven't seen Dunkirk but, I heard it was #1 at the box office. If I had a buck for all the movies that held the #1 spot that later left me flat when I watched, I could take us all out to dinner at a Michelin star restaurant.

The JA is threatening to end insurance subsidies. Is it just a threat to garner more attention for himself? Will he really do it? Certainly the answer won't hinge on what's best for the American people.
