Good morning ladies.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends

Good morning everyone.
I am feeling awake and well rested. Looking forward to a new week and a new year
My budget stuff is spilling over into this week (yay) so I am still really busy at work but I think it will probably only last a few days.
I am dropping off the application for the apartment for my parents today after work. Fingers crossed they will be approved and we can start working on getting them to VA.
I have my breakfast, lunch and snacks packed and working on eating bland for the next couple of days to sooth my tummy.
On Thursday I have my appointment with the plastic Dr. fingers crossed.

Good morning friends.
Well it's back to work today. There are probably about a thousand places that I'd rather be. Lol.
My ankle/foot is feeling much better. I'm still wearing my ankle support brace and that seems to help. Maybe I just keep re-irritating the original injury. IDK, there really seems to be no consistency to what bothers it. I can do 14k steps without a problem, hiked 3 miles without a problem, and then a 10k step day ends with me in pain. Who knows.
I did a bit of food prep yesterday and today have brought a asian slaw/salad kind of dish for lunch. I just took of bag of slaw mix (the shredded cabbage and carrots) and tossed it with some Panera Asian Sesame dressing, added some thin sliced english cucumber, a handful of matchstick carrots, a tiny bit of thin sliced onion and cilantro and let it set in the fridge overnight. I have some grilled chicken breast and manadarin orange segments that I will add in today for lunch. The dressing kind of softens the cabbage and it ends up being more like a shredded lettuce texture. Pretty good stuff actually.
Yesterday the weather was calling or light snow here on Friday. It has now changed to a prediction of freezing rain on Saturday. Honestly, I could do quite well without either! Ha!
Hoping for a great day for all. I'll BB when I can.

Good Morning ROs...awakened with a migraine last night... I have had them about 6 of the last 7 days...jeesh! Already been to my gym class and headed to drop DH off for PT and then off to tapdancing...will return for the second half of PT. I was successful in counting points yesterday - yippee - one day down!
Jana - hope all goes well with your DP apartment application AND the Dr appt...wow...you will look like a model after the plastic surgery!
Lora - I am going to try that salad ---lots of veggies and sounds pretty filling and yummy
OK...off and running

Jana, good luck this week all around. I hope all works out.
Susie, sorry about those migraines. I know they can be very debilitating.
Lora, do you think the cold and rain has bothered your ankle? I would say that the snow forecast is better than icy rain. If people drive carefully, the snow is not bad, but ice? There is no way to drive carefully in that, and the big pick-ups seem to not understand if they drive fast in that their tires will not hold.
It's a bit drizzly here, but I am going out to my office. Driving should be OK though.

Hey everyone -
Happy to be at home even though I think everyone I know started back at work today. So glad that I have today and tomorrow off still. Yesterday I did some cleaning and organizing. I pulled a trash bag full of clothes out of my closet. I have that and two boxes in my car that I'll take to the thrift store today. I also took out recycling and such. More to do today! I keep thinking I should take down my Christmas tree and such - but part of me just wants to wait until Saturday for that. I've showered and such but I'm going to just work on some things in my apartment until probably early afternoon. I'm waiting for the campus post office to sort through all the mail - I know I've gotten a package or 2 since they were closed last week. I'll go get my mail and then run a couple errands- including dropping off the stuff at the thrift store.
Susie - migraines the last 6 days!? You might want to go to the doctor to see what's going on. I hope you feel better soon. That sounds terrible.
Jana - keep us posted on the dr and the apartmnet for your parents
Lora - that salad sounds really good.
Robin - hope you have a good day.

Good morning, ROs. Back from a long walk on the beach (sorry) but we left later than usual to do a different part of the beach and the sand was much softer - no hard pack to walk comfortably on plus a steep incline, so it was slow going and the sun was really strong. Crazy but I'm happy to be indoors in the a/c for a bit and having some cold water. Will take a swim later. Last full day here - we have to leave for the airport around 12:30 tomorrow and I land in NY at 10, so it will be a long day. Am enjoying the last moments here. When I hear about the snow and freezing rain back home it makes me even more appreciative to be here.
Lora, that salad sounds really, really good. What kind of calories/points does the Panera dressing have and where do you buy it? Oh, silly me, probably Kroger, right? I'd like to make it when I get back home. I get so sick of the same old green salad.
Jana, good luck both with the apartment rental and also the MD appointment. Definitely keep us posted!!!
Amanda, enjoy your additional days off.
Susie, so sorry about the headaches. Do you take anything to prevent them or do you just take something once you have one? I know there are some preventive options out there these days.
Have a great day, all.

Hi again.
There is a lull in activity here at work so I thought I would check in.
Lora your salad sounds great. I think I may try it as well. They are saying we will be getting some snow here on Saturday, I am not sure how much. Of course, I am supposed to be going to driving school on Saturday for the accident I had back in October. I don't want to wait until the last minute to get that done.
Susie so sorry about the headaches. Do you know what triggers them? Could it be stress? Thanks for the compliment but I will be far from a model even IF I can get the surgery approved but I do think I will be more comfortable and should be able to exercise easier.
Robin enjoy your day in the office. It is drizzly here too.
Andi enjoy your last full day.
Amanda enjoy your last couple of days off as well. Sounds like you are busy organizing and tidying up.

Andie, that is a long trip home. Where do you fly into? I guess you can't fly non-stop. It is so nice to have that family time.
Lora, yes that salad does sound great. I think I have Newman's Low Fat ginger dressing at home, so maybe will try it with that. I use various types of Bolthouse dressings. They are yogurt based, so low in calories or points. Their vinaigrette types are not very good though. But they have things like Salsa Verde Avocado, Cilantro Avocado, a great Blue Cheese that is only 1 pt on WW, Mango Chipotle. Change of flavor for plain old salad, but I always love the Asian chicken salads.
Such a dreary day out, and pretty quiet here too. Have to try to start making work plans to maybe drum up business.

The Panera Asian Sesame Vinagrette NI is as follows:
Serving Size 2 TBS Calories: 60 Total Fat: 4.5g Carbs: 5g Sugars: 3g Protein: 0g Sodium: 290mg
I bought it at Kroger, but I've also seen it at Target, Publix, etc. It's sold in the refrigerated section of the Produce Dept.
Robin - I'm a big fan of the Bolthouse line as well. Ranch & Salsa Ranch are my two favorites. In this part of the country, the snow is just as big of a pain in the rump as the ice. Lol. Mostly because any snow on the roads will melt with traffic or the sun, and then refreeze as ice at night. We just don't have enough equipment to manage salting and sanding. They've bought more trucks in recent years, but it's hard to invest tax payer money for something like that when we only need them once every 10 years or so.
I'm eating my lunch now, and it really turned out good. It feels like a really healthy and delicious option, but still filling and satisfying

Amanda - migraines in groups like that are not uncommon for me. Usually they are not bad (I do not usually have to go to bed or vomit -sorry about TMI- like I used to when I was younger). I try to keep track of them when I seem to be having a lot. Last January I had a lot also and sometimes July seems to be a tough month. They were absolutely debilitating when I was younger so I sympathize with you. The Dr almost hospitalized me when I was pregnant with my youngest and I quit work earlier than expected with Drs recommendation since I belonged to the "sick leave bank."
Andi - I have had migraines for over 50 years...they are hereditary and I have tried everything. Nothing has even helped so I finally gave up and have settled for just trying to "knock" the pain (Tylenol with codeine) and getting to sleep. Fortunately, my DDs do not get them, but my DSon does. He takes some of the new meds though. I know you are REALLY enjoying the beach... too bad you will come back to terrible weather. DD is loving the beach on an island off of Vietnam (forget the name of it right now) and she will return to winter weather too.
Robin - I like the Bolthouse dressings too.
Jana - I heard we may possibly get 5 inches Friday night...but Nikki-D said the system is too far out to predict yet. Sometimes I think the barometric pressure/weather issues affect my headaches.
Tap dancing was really fun today...could you hear me tap tap tapping? Ha!

Ugh bad news - the apartment complex will not take my parent's application until they have completed their bankruptcy. I have no idea how long that will take since they have a court appointed attorney and they do not have the $ to hire an attorney to speed things up. So disappointing and now I am stressed.

Oh Jana! what a total bummer! I wonder if there is anyway that the bankruptcy process can be expedited?

So sorry, Jana! What a disappointment. I know bankruptcy can take awhile. Hopefully when it is resolved there will still be some availability in the complex you're looking at. Fingers crossed.
Susie, I knew you'd had migraines for a long time, was just hoping I guess that there was something out there that would help you prevent them. You're obviously an expert at managing them... Unfortunately.
Lora, thanks for the NI. I'll look for the dressing when I get home. Lora and Robin, I am also a fan of Bolthouse. I particularly like the cilantro one. You have to watch the dates on the bottle though - since they're made with yogurt they expire much quicker than regular dressings. Ask me how I know...
OK, last day is pretty much over. Sunset about to happen (it's at around 6 here, but as of tomorrow, I'll be back to the 4:30 thing).
Robin, that book Faithful sounds interesting. I may download it on my Kindle tonight. I'm reading a book that was in the Times top 100 list for 2016 but it's about a bombing in India (fiction) but I'm finding it hard going. Same with The Nix. I'm just not concentrating as well here as I do at home.
Have a good evening all. Hopefully the rain we're having will be all gone by the time I get home.
