Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all,
Ruth - sounds like you had a lot to deal with yesterday. When I was pan frying I got some grease on stove and floor, but not a problem like yours.
Dottie - glad you are feeling better. Hopefully you won't be dealing with stuffed ears for too long.
I had a nice food victory at work yesterday. Coworkers birthday and I said no to the cake. The cake was in the office all evening, tempted me but not enough for me to take a slice. Felt good.
Will do the Walk Away the Pounds DVD again this morning. 30 minute workout, I need to build up my endurance again. I guess I'm surprised how quickly the goes away now that I'm older.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Got laundry done yesterday. Got both trees down. Now to put away all the decorations. DH left for his eye appt. and called me and said not to step foot outdoors. Said everything is pure ice and with the temps dropping, not going to get better. I'm content to stay inside and catch up on some chores.
Joy, those are wonderful NSV's!! And it truly is amazing how quickly we lose any endurance, stamina, etc once we stop doing exercise. Takes so long to build it up, but seems it's gone in an instant.
Off to clean kitchen and get those decorations put away.

Joyce, good job on passing up the birthday cake, I’m not sure I would have been as good. I agree with you and Ruth about losing stamina quickly when you stop exercising. I will be starting from the beginning once I feel strong enough to start my exercising. I like the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs and have several good ones.
Ruth, you had a very productive day. Hope you DH made it home safely from his doctor appointment. I hate the icy roads, at least if it is snow it is easier to get some traction. I had a day similar to your day yesterday (although yours was worse than my day today). I cleaned all of the glass tables this morning, 5 total. DH commented that they didn’t come out too good. I went to get the cleaner and realized I used the wrong cleaner and had to re clean all the tables – UGH. At least they look better now.
I was able to get in the pool again today and walked for over 15 min. This afternoon we went to practice bocce, our league starts on Thurs. The practice was fun (there was a group of 12 of us) – it probably won’t help me with my game on Thursday but at least I got in a little extra movement.

Good Evening:
I think John has been doing better these past few days. He actually showered today, dressed in street clothes (not PJ pants with slippers but real pants and tennis shoes), and we went to the cancer center to get that labwork his PCP wanted. OT had come a couple hours before we left and he did well with that. Tomorrow one of the PT supervisors will be here to evaluate him. She'll either "graduate" him from their care or extend it. Since he is still using the walker except for a few steps here and there, I hope they keep working with him. Joyce, Ruth - did you watch any part of the Winter Classic yesterday? There was a great atmosphere here in STL. I hope We (STL) showed well to the rest of the country. Joyce = great job in avoiding that cake. A couple of my MO WW friends are doing a DVD on Tai Chi (I probably spelled it wrong. One does it with her DH...one on balance and strength. I might see if our library has some...DH would probably benefit with one with balance. Ruth - I don't have my decorations boxed up yet but at least the boxes are now in the house. Temperature is dropping here, too. I can hear the wind bowling. Dottie - how are your ears today? I hope much better. A week or so ago, I felt I was getting close to having an ear ache...fortunately, it seems to have gone away. How long will you be in FL? Enjoy the Bocce league. Jill - how are you doing. Hope you can stop by and visit a spell.
